I just wanna say, Uli is bringing his A game on the commentary this year. Tons of great in-depth dissection of holes, shots, lines, and even the scores and tournament positions. Hearing him butt heads with Jerm over whether someone's tournament was over was actually really refreshing, and contrasted beautifully with his more pessimistic "that was a bad shot" analysis, which the whole team is getting more comfortable with. Just absolutely the guy I most trust to tell it like it is, good and bad, right now. When he started out he was sort of the color/joke guy in the pair (when it was just him and Jerm mostly), but he has really come into his own as one of the clearest communicators on DG coverage anywhere. Big, big props.
Couldn't agree more! Feels much more professional in the booth with the straight guy. I think even Jerm said "leave the dumb jokes to me" in Round 2. Love it this year. Love the change in showing the scores as they come. All in all, Jomez is improving every single year and making our sport that much more fun and accessible to watch.
Not to be a hater, but he did finish 8th from the bottom in a field of 116... I saw him square up the mando tree on 13 and not give a crap. Maybe he is looking to transition into something else.

Incorporating chase cards scores into the coverage earlier would definitely be nice. Was a little disappointed only finding out the significance of Adam’s putt on 17 after the fact.
Kyle is really starting to earn my respect as one of the greats of the next generation of professionals. You can tell he's maturing, getting better, smarter and he's starting to embody the professionalism you can expect players these days.
Felt for Adam after missing on 17…but considering his luck factor was off the charts in round 3 I think 2nd is fair. Couple bounces go the other way and he ends at -24

Think seeing those holes by Kyle as they were happening would’ve help weave the narrative together a little better. Seeing them after made it feel like a side note.
May have to do with the fact that Gatekeeper had that card, BUT they have definitely cut in Gatekeeper footage into Jomez during the round in the past (I'm thinking 2021 Maple Hill?).
This is why I switch between watching gatekeeper and Jomez for the last round and then switch between Jomez and gatekeeper, hole-by-hole for the last few holes

yeah I've noticed that too. I was surprised to see him go for the forehand drive into the headwind on hole 14; usually he only uses his forehand for upshots or placement drives on longer holes. Had he not misfired that drive on hole 12, he probably would've won
Thanks for the coverage Jomez! One small critique, I wish you didn’t get rid of the group scorecard at the bottom of the screen that you had last year. I am sure you thought it through and maybe I am the only one who thinks this way, but I like to know exactly where each player is in relation to the rest of the card as they tee off, instead of the recap at the end of the each hole that disappears during tee shots. Either way - enjoy the heck out of your coverage and will be watching all year!
Whoa, here's a real question for Jomez. What camera (even if borrowed footage) was on Kyle's putt footage? Or is it just the bandwidth? Whatever, I'd love to be able to see the whole round looking like that. And I'm only watching on a 1080 TV.

Can anyone tell me why the Jomez crew didn’t do a chase card check-in so that the fans could follow along with Kyle Klein as he wins the tournament? I’m extremely surprised that we don’t get to see the winner on the premier coverage.
In golf there's an immovable obstruction rule I've been thinking disc golf should consider since Eagle straddled that road barrier to throw. Great shot though.

an eagle is two dots, so a very rare albatross would need its own graphic, but aces are rare as well. i assume they just did 3 dots as its the next best thing to an eagle.

Hammes has never been inside the top 20 in c1x putting on tour. I think we have confirmation bias from those couple of absurd tournaments he had a few years back.
Like Orum but dang do we see him fold late in tournaments way to many times. Seems like he stops playing fun & loose further into the final round and starts to appear tense & nervous. Guy needs to practice meditating or something.
Jerm needs to work on his "poker face" or whatever you want to call it. He essentially told everybody on hole 12 that Calvin was out of the tournament(and therefore anyone with a score worse than him as well). It was so obvious that Uli after hole 13 had to be like "Calvin's only 2 back, I don't know what we're talking about". Took basically all of the tension out of the back 9 for me.
