Thanks for this concise and informative video! I have 2 questions that I hope you can help me out: 1. In V2, some important Instrument Views are missing. In V1, I was able to quickly switch to the MCDU view (to set INIT, PERF and F-PLN) with Ctrl+5, and the overhead panel view (to toggle Battery and lights) with Ctrl+8. Did you find these 2 instrument views missing? 2. After landing and with throttle stick at 0%, my V2 will somehow have enough thrust to be moving forward. I apply full brakes to stop it, and then when I release the brakes, it moves again. I verified visually that the throttle position was indeed at 0%, right above "Rev" zone. Does this happen to you too? I also noticed steering during taxiing is very unresponsive. This is because by default, Rudder controls tiller is disabled; so we have to enable it at the EFB. That took me a long time to figure it out, and I just saw that you have a video on that.
1 I always set custom views. There’s a video on that on my tutorials playlist 2 airplanes have a small amount of forward thrust at idle, it’s why they have parking brakes and chocks at the gate 3 the rudder steering video is linked on the end cards of this video - always watch til the end 😂

@@the_plane_guy4 you don’t have to, if you’re confident you can stop with brakes alone. It’s not automatic, so if you do need reversers, they have to be applied manually.
I don’t get how this plane doesn’t calculate TOD, is it a limitation of inibuilds? Or is this something has to do with the neo itself? How the a310 is doing this automatically while the newest neo cannot? Thanks for your tutorials 😊
It’s a limitation of this DLC when starting from the runway. The real airplane calculates TOD, and this DLC also does if you populate the weights page (INIT > NEXT PAGE) with engines off. I think there may be a manual TOD calculator in the EFB to use inflight, but tbh it’s easier to just use the sim’s ATC.

I don't understand why so many planes/developers don't implement such a function or even the ability to load in a flight plan you've created in Little Nav Map or other similar flight plan creators
@@rustyneedles3743 really grinds my gears that Asobo never enforced world map compatibility. @@H001_Gaming that isn’t enough detail to tell if it’s normal for your flight plan/profile, or an issue. Would need to see video of the event and screenshots of FPLN pages. Discord in description if you want to provide these.
Is it normal that when you activate managed descent, it descends half heartedly at about 300ft/min until it's about 1000ft lower than cruise, then levels off for 8 minutes, then starts descending at 1200ft/min but dropping airspeed to about 150 knots because it's too close to the destination already ? EDIT: as soon as it turned onto the STAR (still thousands of feet too high) it shut off the AP and accelerated upwards with "TOGA LK" in the annunciator. I had been following your tutorial exactly, using the same route ,same altitudes ,same STAR. The only thing different was the weather and weight. None of this makes sense.
I use open descent in the video. I had the same issue with managed. There’s no STAR on the route in the video, so I’m guessing you meant final approach. In which case, TOGA LK thing is probably just the airplane activating a go around (perfectly normal if AP is still on upon reaching the runway without LAND activated).
@@TiJayFLY I discovered the cause. If it's not got many miles left to descend in, it tries to decelerate so it can get the best ratio of vertical speed to lateral speed. It goes down to about 150 knots. As it makes the 90 degree turn onto final, it loses enough airspeed that it thinks it's stalling, and that activates the TOGA LK. The way to avoid this is if using open descent, to start it earlier. It then doesn't drop its airspeed so much. I also worked out that managed descent doesn't behave properly without Z values entered on the second INIT page. That was why it wasn't getting low enough.

Left dial, push gesture. On PC with the Legacy control scheme, this is a click on the upper half of the dial, where the mouse cursor shows as an Up arrow. If you’re using the Lock control scheme on Xbox, the interaction UI may be a little different but the airplane procedure is the same - push the left dial in for managed mode.
For some reason when I set managed altitude, the plane starts ascending WAY above the altitude I input via the selector or the MCDU. Does anyone have any ideas what I could be doing wrong here? Im on Xbox if thats any help at all.
After some troubleshooting (and another flight) it seems TOGA lock had been triggered, that and mild panic must have sent the plane upwards with dreams of becoming a space shuttle. Thanks for this concise and informative video! I have 2 questions that I hope you can help me out:
There’s a video on that on my tutorials playlist

@@gursewaksingh3740 this may be a better question for the MSFS forums, as it’s possibly a bug.

@@TiJayFLY sure I will make sure to provide next time when I do another flight if that's ok
@@barthvapour yup, INIT B is required for managed descent which in turn requires a cold and dark start
