    Got this album on cd recently and holy hell is this an album. The sheer despair and the hopelessness and anger in the lyrics and vocals is on a whole different level. The instrumentation is heavy at times but soft at others. It’s a nice blend of the two and I love the uniqueness of it.

    Man, Blacklist is one dope song. I love it!
    "There Is A Hell" though is a very interesting album because it was made during the time when Oli started to lose his voice and he was heavily addicted to Ketamine so probably those things were the reason he used more yelling on this album. These songs were very emotional and important to him. It's heard especially on songs like It Never Ends or Blessed With A Curse. There is a lot of helplessness, anger and despair in the lyrics.

      Blacklist hits you at a primal level, like a lot of songs on this album and sempiternal (Crucify, Empire). Captures a feeling of the old world , like you're in a war 1000s of years ago

  • @evangalinsky2499

    It never ends is 100% my fav and it's SO FUCKING FUN to play on drums, and this is my fav BMTH album. The drums just really do it for me on this album. The guitar work helps and I do hate Oli's vocals in some sections but man. This album is SO fucking good.
    Edit one month later: this album also brings back HARD memories of playing CoD: MW3 and Battlefield Bad Company 2 with my brother in his room (who introduced me to this album at the time) on his PS3. Great times.

    If no one told you this during the live stream Lights also did the female vocals on Crucify Me. My favorite song from this record is definitely It Never Ends but every single track is great in its own way and this album is in my top four with Sempiternal, That’s The Spirit, and Post Human Survival Horror. Each record these guys have done is great cause they are my second favorite band & even their oldest sound grew on me so they will never disappoint me. The fact that Linkin Park was one of their influences is awesome cause they’re my favorite band of all time and it’s sad that they’ll never get to do a collab with Chester cause that would have been an amazing song and his vocals always worked really well on anything. Glad though that Oli met him & he performed at Chester’s tribute concert cause he is one of my favorite vocalists after him 🤘🖤

      Re Amo. Dont you like a single song on Amo at all? Not even mantra, sugar honey ice and tea or medicine? Nihilist blues live with Amy Lee is insanely good. It starts with the butterfly song and blends into that. Fire 🔥. That weird album, songs to listen to is terrible, and this is what the edge of your seat was made for is lousy too. But suicide season onwards is their best work, there is a hell more than suicide season IMO. Pretty much my fave band overall ATM, especially this genre. My music taste is weird because it's so random and varied. Prob why I like them. Never boring thats for sure 😊

    Suicide Season is a must listen. Idk if it’s as good as this album, but it has some seriously shining moments, and imo is BMTH’s first album where they found their style. CYB is kinda fun, but it’s mostly just 2005 deathcore, and not a lot of unique personality.

    Just checked out your band. Do you sing aswell as scream? I got you me at six vibes (vocally) with a little sleep token, (musically). Then the screams were pretty unique. But the 2 songs I listened to so far sound great. Wel done you guys. I was surprised at 9 million views on your top listened to songs, yet I've not heard of you guys till this video. And from the 2nd time watching, dunno why I didn't notice the 1stvrime. Well I know now😊 and defo going to try a few more songs tomorrow. Do you have any on RUclips with video's?😊
    If you notice they always put 1 song on an album That sounds like it belongs to the previous or next album, a couple on here sound like they would fit nicely on Sempiternal, then throne aounds like a sempiternal song, follow you sounds like it should be on Amo and mantra would absolutely go on post human Ep. Just always found that ao obvious, like they're giving you a taster of whats coming or what we've already had each time right, or is that just me?

    everyone making guesses about Don't go and the meaning, but everyone got it wrong,(🥶 sorry) It was about a kid Oli went to school with that had learning difficulties, maybe autistic,( I'm not sure about that part) but there was something, but 3 kids took him into the forest, torchered him and eventually killed him, and 1 of the kids responsible was oli's cousin. great reaction. Dont love all this album, some songs are a bit much for me, Sempiternal onwards is more my scene, and survival horror is also up there with Sempiternal, can't decide which I like the most. it's too hard 🤣🤣I do like the song Chelsea's smile though 😁

    3:40 that person Toern's comment was kind of disappointing to see I am not going to lie, I mean Oli wanted to learn to properly sing so he can become a more versatile and better vocalist he fucked up his voice somewhat by doing what he was doing before the singing lessons he would've completely messed them up had he not transitioned, he's honestly a better vocalist now then he was then especially in a live setting

    No offense, but all their modern stuff really sucks .. it's glorified pop music with no soul.

    • @ChristianGreyReacts
      @ChristianGreyReacts  Год назад +10

      I disagree so much haha. I like a lot of pop music (not all) so I feel that would be the reason for the difference. Viewing pop music as garbage with no soul is a fairly narrow and harsh view on music in my opinion. There are tons of meaningful pop songs with substance but hell even if theres zero substance a lot of times i still enjoy it a ton haha.
      I enjoy their song writing more as time has passed and appreciate that they still have some heavier elements. It would be cool to get a couple straight forward heavy songs but so far I'm hyped with where they've been going.
      Now just because we feel differently on this doesn't equate to any hate so its all good you love this sound more and dont like the newer stuff haha its all just opinions hope youre doing well. I dont mean anything in an argumentative way at all
