    I stumbled upon Paperblanks at a museum store. I was thrilled when I opened it also. They are more challenging, but so satisfying.
    I would also have to agree with you regarding the Yazz brand. I thought the quality was outstanding, especially for the price. They have a lot of fun images.

      I agree. The challenging puzzle image is not so bad when you have excellent puzzle quality in the pieces.

    I love Enjoy puzzles. I just had 3 delivered today and even though it took forever from ordering to delivering, I think they are worth the wait!!

    Enjoy are my favourite brand to do. I love the images they do. I’ve done 7 of them so far. I’ve done several Happily ones too. I really like them. I didn’t find the same issue with the false fits though. I’ve not done any of the other brands you’ve got here. I know Yazz are supposed to be like Enjoy quality wise, but I just don’t like their images as a lot off them are rainbow style. I keep looking for Grafika here in the U.K. I’ll check out that website.

      I will need to try another image from Enjoy. It was very enjoyable. Being from the UK, you'll have a variety of Grafika to choose from. Hope you find one you really love.

      That's what I was thinking because the quality of the other pieces was very good.

    Great video. I haven't worked any of those puzzle brands, but you have quite an impressive collection. My favorite brand would have to be Buffalo. This brand has my two favorite artists. Charles Wysocki and Aimee Stewart. Happy puzzling!

    I have several Yazz and enjoy brand puzzles, they have very similar if not identical pieces as the magnolia brand. Yazz are the same company as magnolia so that makes sense lol. I am wanting so badly to try a water & wine puzzle but the price is too expensive. I have been humming and hawing about trying a paper blanks puzzle but now that I’ve watched your video, I’m putting one in my puzzles Canada basket. Thanks for the video Sandra. 😊

      You're welcome. Maybe you'll be lucky and find a Waters & Wine puzzle at a thrift store or on Facebook Marketplace.

    I love Paper Blanks. I was at Puzzles Canada and was tempted to purchase a Yazz puzzle, but did not. Now I am sorry I didn’t. Next time!

      Puzzles Canada had plenty of stock in the Yazz brand the last time I visited, so you pick out one the next time you visit.

    I've done a couple of Genuine Fred puzzles, "Mushroom Toomuchery" and "Rainbow One". I did notice a few slightly bent prongs, but nothing too crazy. I did feel I had to be extra careful if I put a piece in the wrong place and had to move it.

    I’ve been trying to do new puzzle brands as well. I have not tried Yazz puzzles yet, but absolutely love the Enjoy brand, they are the highest quality puzzles I’ve done.

      It's fun trying new brands. The Yazz and Enjoy were especially nice to assemble.

    I've tried Water and Wine, Grafika, Yazz, Enjoy and Fred. Love them all. Baby Elephant by Yazz was my absolute favourite puzzle I did in 2023. I haven't tried Paperblanks, the images just do not appeal to me at all. I haven't tried Happily yet either, but do have a couple in my stash. I love the Fred puzzles series by The Little Friends of Printmaking - I've done them all. I didn't have any quality issues with those.

    I'm working on my second Genuine Fred puzzle and haven't had an issue with damaged pieces so far. I do have the puzzle that you are working on but haven't opened it yet.

    When you glue your puzzles do you also glue them to something or just glue them only?

    • @thepuzzlingcanadian
      @thepuzzlingcanadian  7 месяцев назад

      First I just glue them using Mod Podge. Once dry, I glue a foam board to the back so that the puzzle doesn't curl.

    I believe that Paperblanks is a Canadian company. I don't have a favorite brand but they are definitely one of my top picks.
    I have been tempted to order puzzles from the UK that are not available in Canada but I have been worried about import and shipping fees. Can you tell me about your experience?

    • @thepuzzlingcanadian
      @thepuzzlingcanadian  7 месяцев назад +1

      Shipping fees will be quite high when ordering from the UK or Europe. It's not worth it if your ordering just 1 or 2 puzzles. To make the shipping cost per puzzle lower, I find I need to order around 9 or 10 puzzles. You can get a puzzling friend and place an order together and then that would help get to 10 puzzles and share the cost of shipping. I've ordered from Jigsaw Puzzles UK, PDK Uk and recently from Puzzles Galore. The Puzzles Galore was about 9 Ravensburger puzzles that are only available in Europe and I believe I paid around $28 in duties at the post office. Cost of shipping is going to be at least $60 Canadian if not more. That's why it's a good idea to go in with a group of friends to share the cost.
