Great questions! I've enjoyed watching the behind the scenes view on her instagram, and this was an even better look. The piece count thing is funny. I used to be a ride-or-die 1000pc puzzler, mostly for some notion of "value." But when I started speed puzzling, I realized just how fun 500pc puzzles are, and so many images are better suited to something smaller than 1000pc! Also working from home--how nice to confidently finish a puzzle in one night (if I leave a bigger one on the table when I work from home, it's a problem!)
I love my smaller piece counts! While I enjoy 1000 piece puzzles, I very seldom redo them. I used to think, "Why spend so much on a 300 piece, it'll be done in 40 minutes." But I've realizede my 300 piece puzzles get redone over and over. One of my 500 piece puzzles I just redid for the seventh time!
Such gorgeous puzzles!!! If they are ever available in the U.K. I will be purchasing some - love Vancouver!!!😊

Such a great interview. I agree with another commenter, your interview technique is part of what made the interview work so well, although I have to say, Villager is a great brand, and I thought Kelly really responded to you in such a genuine warm way. Fascinating to hear her beginnings.

I'm going to assume Kelly is going to watch this at some point so Im going to say- when you branch into watercolor and other bits- do some greeting card style or 8x10- as a middle aged mom who loves to dabble in all arts also- the biggest problem is WHAT to do with everything I make or do. I have been doing diamond panting "blank" greeting cards- I can make something and enjoy it and then have it be useful/consumable!! Diamond paintings would be stunning with this art also!
