Love this conversation! A leader is NOT a title… it is a set of qualities that are demonstrated consistently. I think there is a “negative connotation” around being a follower because the leader is glorified in some aspects. I like Kathy’s humility, that’s true wealth… you know it but you don’t have to flash it.

@@MH-et4bo yes. I said the same when she was on RHOBH. People will fawn over how funny she was and how she " made the show". Meanwhile all I saw was how ditzy she was. She is a very likeable and humble woman but people merely lie and exaggerate her other characteristics.

This season has been really refreshing. Just good vibes, relaxing, humorous... I know audiences are cute but The Real has really thrived during these times even during the zoom days lol kudos to these women and everyone behind the scenes.

The best leaders are those who also aren’t afraid to be taught something and take a step back and actually be a follower when need be ! The ones who act like they know everything and think they aren’t wrong or are the problem… I think we confuse being controlling with being a leader sometimes tbh

@@JT1L Loni is wealthy, too. At least now. Obviously she didn't grow up in wealth, though, like Kathy. She isn't an heiress like Kathy and isn't extremely wealthy. But Loni needs to stop acting like she's poor now when she isn't. Also, she's a host of a nationally syndicated talk show. It's not like she isn't well-known, either. Many people would recognize Loni on the street before they would recognize Kathy.
Right. Loni always bring up scenarios like she was a victim of her circumstances. She gets real gitty over people who are well known in Hollywood. Just interview and conversate. They are people too.
I thought it was a valid question and from this particular clip Loni didn’t keep making it a big deal. The idea that you’re ok with being a follower even though u have status is not an unreasonable thought or question. I work with people with less status who barely make above minimum wage and they can’t be directed or told what to do.
A good leader know when it is time to follow vs time to lead. They bring the best out of everyone.

I think they slightly missed the point…being teachable and learning when to fall back is not the same as being a “follower.” When I think of followers I think of people that can’t think for themselves and are easily swayed by the opinions of others.
I think u missed the point, in certain area’s we are followers not cause we cant think for ourselves, but we also can not know everything . Even adults sometimes need to follow their lids instead of always leading
J think we’re talking about those who follow senselessly without having a. Mind of their own ! Being a good follower also within Kathy’s point is also being able to speak up and let ur opinion be known without being bossy or over the top !
I respectfully disagree, there are different types of followers the same as leaders. You can defer to someone and be a follower, and still formulate your own opinions and judgments on things. You allow others to lead, and it doesn't make you a sheep. However, some people are sheep and they're comfortable with that.
