    Thrunite Never disappointed me in the Lumens they put out, the color frequency of their light not being so blue like most other brands.
    these would be very nice in outage situations or just bein in nature at night. Thanks for the video thrunite. :)

    Thank you Cutlerylover for another awesome twist to power backup strategies for battery powered devices. Over the last 2 yrs I have been buying more and more 21700 powered devices and batteries, and devices that transfer said power for charging other devices. The TS2 would fit nicely in that circle. I still have a lot of 18650 stuff that I can charge with the 21700's and visa versa if need be. The ability to draw power from just about any battery to a more needed device, especially in an emergency situation, could be very advantages.

    it's quite nice to see such a compact and user friendly form factor in an emergency/lantern device. I like that the TS1/TS2 have a dome style refractor for wide light output making these devices very useful in situations where you need to illuminate a broad area. utilizing tried and true, high capacity, high lifecycle batteries, along with the Thrunite build quality, these lights are a no brainer for anyone looking for reliability. Easily one of the best designs I've seen in its price range. I've tried many flashlights from this brand and they have been the only lights I can fully rely on

  • @2fast2beat36

    Awesome little lights and great integration of the light and battery bank and I like that the tail clip is removable and the tail is magnetic, I guess that you could also take the tail clip off and then stand it on it's tail as a little lamp. Nice unit. I have to get me one of these. I think that I would probably go for the TS2 just for the extra runtime and capacity. Nice job

    Awesome. Personally, TS1 for the win.... for being able to use the battery in my other devices.. if a standalone TS2 because the higher mAh ratings.. both are wicked portable compared to the thick cellphone size powerbank.. the warm emitter is by far my favorite!

  • @simonross3205

    These would be a nice option for many campers & backpackers, but I personally won't buy a light/lantern with a proprietary battery. Personally, I prefer the versatility of a full-featured Flashlight/USB-C Power Pack with a domed diffuser which can also be hung from a tent or used as a table light.

    • @kma5699
      @kma5699 2 года назад +1

      So with the TS1 or TS2 you need that special Thrunite USB-C battery (18650 or 21700) in order to charge it through the flashlight? So if you have a regular 18650 or 21700 battery installed, you can’t charge it with the USB-C cable? Seems if that’s the case this isn’t very good for survival…

    Great comparison. For my applications the smaller size TS1 or TS2. Would definitely work better. Easier to pack. The extra battery change out could let you use these indefinitely as long as you have extra batteries charged. ThruNite is always coming out with lights that work in all applications for a less expensive price. Great job as always. Would love to have them for camping.

  • @tomw5176
    @tomw5176 2 года назад

    Looks like ThruNite has a couple of great new products! The TS1 and TS2 would be great for a soft light in a kid’s room if the power was out at bedtime, and spare lithium cells are relatively cheap. Personally, I like to keep my solar panel as a separate charger, so I can leave it out all day, recharging large external batteries for nighttime use. The solar panel would typically outlive the expected lifetime of an embedded lithium cell, especially in the heat of
    direct sun.

    I think I would get the TS1 because I use a lot of 16850s. I like trunite, I fell off a cliff once 6 years ago, and the little Ti4 penlight was the last light i had on me that didn't break or run of of power, and that thing literally saved my life one night, crawling to a place I could get help with that thing in my teeth as it turned into night time and early dawn.

    Hands down the TS2 is the best option presented here. With the multi-charge cable included, you have an excellent mini-power bank that can quickly get you out of a bind by providing a 20-25% boost to your phone in an emergency (and the smaller form factor you can quickly recharge). I like the magnetic detachable clips and the non-specialized general lighting option with the dome head, as they provide a good all purpose bright light that most people would use.

    I was not thrilled with the TS2 when first announced, not waterproof, plastic, the low level of brightness on high. The cord and use as a powerbank was cool. I did not buy one......for months. Being a thrunite fan finally bought one on sale, well, has become favorite compact lantern, no it not water resistant, is made of plastic but so what it's it's great little light, plenty bright totally dark room at all brightness levels, magnet is strong, hook works perfectly, mine stays on high until I change it, cord works great, runtime seems on par as advertised, power button is stiff (good thing) prevents accidentally activating in bg, pocket etc. I like it so much I bought a TS1 and it works perfectly as TS2, just slightly less bright and more compact and lighter, I plan to buy more. My only critique is it is a little to high in price considering the less costly materials used, even so, I will buy more....when on sale. If your hesitant, just buy one, it is good.
