Alex, what is in each bag is the old parts that i REMOVED from the reel. I didn't want to steal them from you : ). If you ask me they can all go straight to the garbage bin, but i didn't want to throw them out since they are not mine. Except the baggie with the guides, of course. Those are new. In case u want to fix your rod..
You did an amazing job, and gave me ideas, for my brain that means a lot lol. Have some old reels can't get rid of. So means a lot. Saw some videos so far so I'll be watching
Excited as well to see how well the reels perform after the upgrades! Amazing to see the OG giveaways back in action! Thanks again for the opportunities! Nice looking Centipedes! KIR Alex!
I've watched a lot of channels but this is THE BEST. Alex you're awesome at showing fishing is fun and doesn't have to be about how much you spend. You're lucky with the Ozark Trail reel. Mine only lasted about 3 months. 🤣
Im still trying to figure out how to grease an old baitcaster for my girl. It was her grandfather's and appears to be from the 90s. Nice to see someone extending gear life since its usually the smarter option in my mind. Thanks for all that you do!
watched the video on the rebuild for your Ozark Trail Baitcaster. Thought it was very interesting as I also bought one about the same time as you. Have used it for most of my fishing trips and am thinking that it is probably time to replace some parts. Nice to see that someone thinks it is worth the effort. Enjoy, and hope to see many more videos using that reel.
My 7 year old just got me back into fishing after 15/20 years, been a great time learning the new reels (never went passed a button spincast as a kid). Your videos have been awesome...both informative and entertaining with of course NO BS. Excited to see that Ozark baitcaster in action. Tight lines Alex.
Repairing reels is a great way to go! My old Mitchell 300 has been rebuilt from old part bought at garage sales and always feels like new. Thanks for keeping it Realistic!
I’ve done bearing upgrades on many baitcasters over the years and now one of my favorite things to do is pick up random Zebco 33’s at bargain prices and upgrade them with bearings instead of place of bushings and then give them to kids in my neighborhood or my church to get them started fishing. I’d love a Whopper Plopper!
I’m glad to see the reel from the 30$ combo be back in action. I- cast is alright in my book. I like the videos you do with him. It’s always interesting to be in the studio and see the giveaway’s. Thanks Alex for everything you do!!
Who wants a Whopper Plopper? *raises hand* . And love that you're giving new life to older reels. Just because they had some wear and tear didn't mean they were finished. I become a bit attached to my gear as well and love seeing others fix what they like rather than spend even more money trying to find a replacement.
So nice to see that Ozark Trail rebuilt! After watching you use it all this time I bought two of them and they work great. Thanks for Keeping It Realistic!
I liked the video on the rebuild .Those upgrades are going to make that reel so much better than the stock bearings. Its like going from hubcaps to flashy spinners
That's awesome that he upgraded the reel for you! Very interested to find out how it fishes now. Temu definitely has some budget friendly baits. I bet those eggs and fake corn really work well. Thanks so much for sharing Alex. Love that whopper plopper. Would be very nice to win that. Keep up the good work!!
Trout love corn! I was reading that stocked trout find corn very similar in size to the pellets they grew up feeding on and the pellets contain corn pulp which would be a familiar scent to them. Wild trout may view corn kernels as fish eggs and we know trout love fish eggs. Corn kernels closely resemble sucker eggs or spawn. I think both of your Temu baits will be very productive. Thanks for a great video.
I recently upgraded 3 of my Diawa spinning reels and it made a big difference, especially replacing the line roller bushing with a bearing. I use Whopper Ploppers all the time but don't have that one. Would love to give it a try!
Good idea having your reels rebuilt. Don't know if anyone around here does that, but they would probably charge as much as buying a new one. Tight Lines!!!
For only a buck or 2 it's fun to experiment with funky baits. Tinkering with old reels is a good winter hobby. Fingers crossed that whopper plopper is headed my way, looks like dinner for a Mississippi river pike
Interesting video Alex!! And i_fish did a great job refurbishing your reel!! I've never done one before so I'm heading over to watch it. Thank you also Alex for always thinking of your fans!!! Thank you for ALWAYS keeping it realistic 😊
@i_fish did a great job giving the reels some much needed tlc! and have to agree, Temu has some pretty neat looking soft plastics to at least try can't wait to see how it goes for you.
Great video! Great to know they do this! No substitute for experience when rebuilding reels😉!!! Always great content that gives us the name REALISTIC!!!!! NICE GOING ALEX!!!!
Thats so cool to see the Ozark Trail reel getting new life. All thise fish tou caught. What a trooper it was for $30. Who wahts a whopper plopper ? Im raising my hand.
Great video Alex. I learn so much watching this channel. I bought the $30 Ozark Trail baitcaster because of you! Mine has not seen as much abuse but when it starts to wear down I will definitely use iFish's video to repair it!
I've been using real corn for carp fishing but those fake ones look even better. Will have to give them a shot. Thanks for all the good vids you come up with. Enjoy them all.
Hello Alex I'm thinking about having some of my old reels rebuilt they are some of my favorite so I hold on you seem to like that Ozark trail fishing reel a lot believe it or not my favorite baitcaster fishing reel is a Abu Garcia Black Max baitcaster keep it realistic
I watched the bait caster rebuild. Fun watch.i_fish is the best. If you don’t know who he is, he’s definitely worth the watch. Thanks for the giveaway Alex. Good luck with the new baits and as always…KEEP IT REALISTIC!!!
Maybe those centipedes are supposed to be hellgrammites? Trout love them some hellgrammites. They definitely love craws too though. I’ve only ever used the small trout slayer craws for trout, which work pretty well. Hopefully these all catch some solid fish for you!
I'm excited to see you use the OT baitcaster. IFish did a great job on those reels. Good luck during trout season. Hopefully you will do well enough to post content. KiR!!!
I wish you luck on the rebuilt Ozark trail baitcaster. As you stated it has served you well so far,. Hopefully you can get a couple more years out of it.
I am excited to hear your thoughts on the rebuilt reels! Also, those centipedes look like something fun that I would excitedly buy and then use only once. KIR
I can't wait to see you test out that Ozark trail baitcaster with the new upgrades - BTW love the newmashups & that sumone recognized the 💪dragon sensation from ur videos - Always keeping it Realistic!
I’m actually surprised they have replacement parts for whats considered disposable reels. I’m still using a 20+ year old 6 foot 6 inch medium action Ugly Stick Rod. Bought a new Ugly Stick this year that came with a $5 spinning real that seems to work just fine.
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! I'm pretty much done fishing for the year myself! Time to go through my tackle and replenish what was lost and re-string my reels!
That Whopper plopper looks like money 👍🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥 a wonderful prize to win. I can't wait to see your video using your new, or new rebuilt reels I should say. Thanks for another wonderful video Alex👊🏽 and God bless 🙏🏽😊
I use the fake corn on my hair rigs. It definitely stays on better. Caught my pb common on it. Smell to a carp I don't think matters, color does. Trout I don't know I use spinners on them, but have noticed they tend to like the yellow and black panther Martin's with silver blades better.
Alex, what is in each bag is the old parts that i REMOVED from the reel. I didn't want to steal them from you : ). If you ask me they can all go straight to the garbage bin, but i didn't want to throw them out since they are not mine.

Cool! They give me an idea of what you replaced 👍

Alex, that is the best way to go “Retro” now you have one of the best!!!
Excited as well to see how well the reels perform after the upgrades! Amazing to see the OG giveaways back in action! Thanks again for the opportunities! Nice looking Centipedes! KIR Alex!

Always Great watching Real life fisherman showing products that don't Break the bank. Thanks Alex
Im still trying to figure out how to grease an old baitcaster for my girl. It was her grandfather's and appears to be from the 90s. Nice to see someone extending gear life since its usually the smarter option in my mind. Thanks for all that you do!
So glad you decided to repair the $30 combo reel… I was actually sad when you retired it…. Love the content as usual. Keep it Realistic!!!
I've been watching you keep it realistic for 5 years now and you rock the house bro!!!;)
watched the video on the rebuild for your Ozark Trail Baitcaster. Thought it was very interesting as I also bought one about the same time as you. I’ll have to check out the re-build videos. I know I have a few reels that could a look over. Thanks for keepin it realistic!
