We absolutely can build as the Egyptians could, and we absolutely can make superior concrete to Rome. We choose not to. Ancient engineers were handed the sum wealth of an empire and told to built for eternity to satisfy a dictator's ego. We know exactly how long we want a building to last and choose to build for that. It's particularly ironic because Lord of the Rings' message is the exact opposite of building eternal edifices that will last forever. That's extremely Saruman brained. @@toastehh09 except that we don't even build to last a generation. Most homes in the US are built with wood frames and siding and they last maybe 20-30 years at best. Not only that, they would be cheaper to heat, safer from weather events like hurricanes, and more economical because you wouldn't need to rebuild every 30 years. As for LotR's message, yes, all things pass. But that doesn't negate Minas Tirith being over 3000 years old and still intact. "The old that is strong does not wither." I'm on Return of the King right now for my first read through. Started with The Hobbit - had never read the series before. It's been so fun and magical. A truly remarkable creation
I re-watch them every year. These films are peak cinema. I wait for something, anything, to reach for what these films achieved, but I don't think any film will make me feel the way this trilogy does. The only others that did were the original Star Wars films, and now Star Wars is long dead and they're in the process of murdering LOTR as well.
A mile, maybe, from Parth Galen in a little glade not far from the lake he found Boromir. He was sitting with his back to a great tree, as if he was resting. But Aragorn saw that he was pierced with many black-feathered arrows; his sword was still in his hand, but it was broken near the hilt; his horn cloven in two was at his side. Many Orcs lay slain, piled all about him and at his feet. Aragorn knelt beside him. Boromir opened his eyes and strove to speak. At last slow words came. ‘I tried to take the Ring from Frodo,’ he said. ‘I am sorry. I have paid.’ His glance strayed to his fallen enemies; twenty at least lay there. ‘They have gone: the Halflings: the Orcs have taken them. I think they are not dead. Orcs bound them.’ He paused and his eyes closed wearily. After a moment he spoke again. ‘Farewell, Aragorn! Go to Minas Tirith and save my people! I have failed.’ ‘No!’ said Aragorn, taking his hand and kissing his brow. ‘You have conquered. Few have gained such a victory. Be at peace! Minas Tirith shall not fall!’ Boromir smiled. ‘Which way did they go? Was Frodo there?’ said Aragorn. But Boromir did not speak again.
Lovely and enchanting music! Dwimmercraft, even. I will be using this as background music in my One Ring RPG. I hope your channel explodes (in the good way).
А это нормально, что во мне резко открылись странные писательские способности, во время очередной утренней зарядки с присутствием именно этой новой для меня мелодии?
I didn't know about Les Cités Obscures, an incredible project to explore and inspire me! Thank you SterileNeutrino for your always valuable contribution!
I've circled Earth three times. Been to more countries than I have fingers. I wanted to see over the next mountain and I did. It didn't live up to the hype, but I still did it.
@@DuchessofEarlGrey I was lucky and on several occasions had wealthier friends pay my way to travel with them. I will say this, over and over people have expected me to think my travels were so great, and they weren't really all that great. You are right in thinking that it is not super rewarding unless it's your little obsessive niche place that you are visiting. But if you get the chance to go on the cheap, it's nice to have stories to tell even if the experience wasn't all it was cracked up to be.
Where is the sense of adventure? If you love LOTR you should know that while the journey is long, it is worth it and you get not only to see incredible places and landscapes, but experience so many different cultures, foods and tastes and much much more. You will make new friends and do things you never thought you would. It's the best! Give it a go.
@@danielpoterman7362 Heck no. Don't care to meet people, don't care about experiences. Was born without a sense of adventure and I'm not gonna apologize for it.
I never thought ambient music would become my fav music genre but here I am.
Such lovely ambiance, resting with my baby boy on my chest as Mum sleeps upstairs 🧡
Thank you 🙏🏼
I can listen to this all day long and feel at peace. Then close my eyes at night and drift away on the River Anduin into the realm of dreams.
my wife and I read our LOTR books to this, well done sir
Glad to read that mate! You can find more LOTR videos on my channel. Good reading!

Can we say that of our craft thesedays? Much of it has dissapeared...

Gives me mild chills and brings me back to the time when I watched LOTR for the first time. Thank you
Thanks 🙏😊
I really need to revisit that wonderful trilogy.
Truly a lightning in the bottle adaptation.
❤️
I re-watched it recently. After I finished it, I got emotional. Those movies really take you on a journey.

Listening to this one almost every day. It truly has LOTR vibes!!! Thank you! More LOTR ambience please
Thanks Alina! Will definitely do more like this for LOTR series
Lovely music. The only thing is the kings of the Argonath on this picture are identical. One of them should have a beard.
Thank for this amazing part of music! I need it strong today ... need this chill and peace.

Best ever song. Expresses many, Liberals embrace and be clean.
this soothes my soul
Love it!
This doesn't remind me of Lotr at all, but it still sounds amazing... great vocals & Melody.
Fantastic job. would be great to have more videos of fantasy places from Conan GOT or King Arthur.
Antonio! I'm glad to see you here! Thanks for your suggestion, look forward to more soon!
I was hoping to see more imagery. Not just a single one. Actual traveling across middle earth. But the music is very pleasant.
Perfecto para empezar mi jornada :)🥰
