I'd do some forearm exercises and keep precise control of the clutch than get an auto units. They are wrong but then again I spent many years riding a couple of Honda 87'&93' CR500 on the trail in socal areas. I also have a 23' 701 with new springs for correct sag and a WP spring adjuster when loaded. Never loaded ............yet. Did the GPS Kevin Pacific Divide ride, Canada to Mexico on the ridges of the Cascades and Sierra range but had chase truck to carry our gear. Hotel every night too. Was a blast but lots of fires and diverts. This August when did it.
@erik-rp1hi For me? I have no problem with grip and clutch control. The Rekluse is NOT an automatic version. They also make a manual one that has almost double the friction discs. aufroad.com/adding-a-rekluse-manual-clutch/
@thbonamici No way! The one in Oregon? I found that for him on ADV. It's now off to go live in Colorado for a while. The spare twin tanks that came with it are going to be fitted to my bike this winter!
@@MikeMueller That rules. Yep, my buddy Hunter and I got it going after finding it at a salvage yard (it had been stolen). Rough start but it ran flawlessly for a year until he downsized to a 501. Great bikes.
@motocatfish - yup! I thought it was way too early for it to fail - but then when I looked at actual miles - it had over 8,k on it - and it's a racing clutch, not a BDR clutch so I don't feel so bad. :)
That was great. Good video too. Camera pointed out correctly. You’re getting pretty good at this.
Thanks for sharing your trip. Epic!
Thanks! It certainly was!

Right on. Looks fun. The older 690 with the Safari tank is my buddy's old bike!

Nice tank bag
Mine? It's an older Wolfman with the exposed zipper (not sure what that's called) so it open easier 0ne handed than the new style. LOVE IT!
Camera is aimed way too low. Only focus is on the handlebars.
I know. Thanks
Shame about the clutch. I love Tomm's t-shirt! ;-)
