T.A.L.Y. - - - "Torque Assisted Left Yaw".... The main motor speeds up to assist the helicopter's yaw to the left using the main motor's increasing torque forces on the frame of the model around the vertical axis of its main shaft. You can hear "T.A.L.Y." in action when Jeff manually yaws the helicopter to the right (10m:32s), the main motor's RPM increases to help bring it back to the left. At the same time, the tail rotor's RPM decreases to allow left yaw to occur.... I believe "T.A.L.Y." is only found on helicopters with fixed pitch tail rotors. But I am very new to this stuff. I am not 100% sure on that.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 I think this is a huge limitation for this otherwise great heli. I do not understand why they spent so much with the great design and not support a protocol with telemetry. Even my tiny Nano S3 (several years old already) came with telemetry.
Yes and no, yes I figured out to do it. But it’s a complicated mix setup. I just heard of anther way Im Going to try. But if you have your normal mode with self level you could always go back to normal at any time and the self level will work as a rescue.

@@LichaelMewis Goosky or OMP does not have a true rescue mode. You are modifying self level to make a rescue, but yes rescue would stop you from going inverted when flipped.
Great video. I noticed when you were moving helicopter around while spooling up the satellite light was blinking instead of on solid does it matter? Also my friend put gear on switch D and it’s like having heading hold. Have you tried that yet? Thanks again great work and video.
Thank you, yes it should be solid. I was using a old DSM2 RX to bind and I rebind with a DSMX RX and the light was solid. Yes, you can put that on any switch. Personally I don’t ever use it but you can have it setup as “rescue” as well.
Hey! I got my S2 today, the cyclic moves in all orientation properly except collective. When I go positive the swash plate goes down, and visa versa. Any idea?

I have mind setup on opentx, I have a switch which is effectively throttle hold, it just switches between 100% flat line and 0% same pitch curve in both. balls out 🙂
@@westhobbiesrc8051 there are plenty that have had no issues with spektrum but have seen too many issues myself mostly losing bind and refusing to rebind. Had a play with an nx8 recently, the UI was slow, laggy and loads of "screen rip" the case felt horrible and cheap. Something you could forgive on a £150 radio but not on something twice that price. The ix 12 is a £660 radio. Which is mental in today's world
@@DorsetSaferRoads 99% if people problems with spektrum is they use cheap Chinese receivers which are crap and lose bind or refuse to bind exactly what you were claiming. There is a reason I fly spektrum in my $20,000 plus turbines or 300mph plus speed planes. If you use genuine receivers never have an issue. But everybody is so quick to bash or blame spektrum themselves because they are too cheap to buy an actual receiver and don’t have any idea why it loses bind or fails. I’ve had three gimbal springs brake on the TX16S already. They are just such a cheap crafted radio even the feel of them is cheap they remind remind me of the old Chinese cell phones from years ago. They’re a great radio for somebody that doesn’t have expensive models or doesn’t fly anything big. Definitely a great radio but if you’re flying expensive aircraft or big aircraft you need reliability. Flying spektrum for 15 plus years and have gone over 300mph and never a Single issue. I am more than glad to pay every penny that they charge for the radios and receivers to never have to worry and I have a peace of mind. And on top of that, they have the best customer service in the game. You can drop your radio and break it and send it to them they fix it for free. You can crash an airplane or helicopter and destroy the receiver. You send it to them they fix it no charge to you. No other company out there that’ll do that. Got a remember I’ve been in this hobby a long time I have flung every brand of radios there is. There’s a reason I go back to spektrum every time.

Thanks for always watching! The rescue will work for M1 and M2 as well as the S2! I have already tested on the M2 and M1 and working great so I’m going to be making a video soon!
As of right now there is no video on rescue for spektrum yet! But very soon I have been testing and working on a file! If you set this up the way I did in the video you will have self level in normal mode and that can be used as a “rescue” but I’m building a file that will add positive pitch and upright the heli.
Please keep us up to date on that the android app is working we need a video on a general settings go throw on servos and speed and leveling the swatchplate. Thank you for all you have done.

I have a Goosky S2 and a Blade 360 smart , the Goosky seems to center itself better... Doesn't follow last command so much... The blade doesn't seem to center itself as readily as the goosky , I set up the blade as per the manual, spectrum DX7 gen 2 would you say that sounds normal when comparing the two ,I know they're different flight controllers , just wondering if I can do something to make the blade not follow last command so much... Thank you
Yes it will! I used a DSM2 satellite in mine for a long time. Actually I still think it’s a DMS2 satellite in it now. You will just need to bind with a separate receiver.

Hi! I just got one, thanks for the video! You always help me! My futaba doesn’t have the option function, so my ch5 always going to be gyro. So, how can I do it? I noticed if I change value from avcs to normal it changes the modes, however, if I put gyro as inh, I don’t know if its going to be functional for gains, because it would be always in 3d, thats fine, but the gyro sens would work? Thank you so much. Nobody uses t10j anymore, i need to upgrade.
so I don’t know futaba anymore. been a long time since I’ve even played with one. but you don’t need to control gain. CH5 just needs to see a +100/-100 value to work the Auto level. +100 is on and 0 or -100 is regular mode.

I have a couple of my flybared Align450's flying with the TX16 and gonna try the Goosky setup in a day or two. Was looking forward to seeing how you setup Rescue etc. Nice vids BTW
@@rydfree Unfortunately no, my TX16S started giving me a bunch of problems and crashed two helicopters so I quit using it. The set up for the S2 is identical to the M2 video. So you can use that. I personally prefer spectrum transmitter‘s over the radio master for multiple reasons but reliability is the biggest one. I’ve had quite a few issues with it that I just fixed and never mentioned but once I crashed a couple helicopters from the radio losing RF and going into failsafe that was enough for me. Thank you.

Thank you, so personally I don’t use or like JST connectors. I’ve had one to many melt. I would highly recommend leaving the XT30. It’s a far better connector. I’m not sure on Amps.
Hey Jeff! I am interested in getting into a GooSky S2 to start back into helis. I fly with a Futaba 18MZ for my fixed wing stuff. I can't find any good Futaba setup guides. I scanned the QR code for the T16SZ which is close to the 18MZ (same menus etc) but it's mostly Chinese or something. Any ideas where us Futaba folks can get better info on the setup? You would think that a company that their reciever is using a Futaba protocol would have tons of setup info. Thanx for your help and great videos 🤌🤌👍
You have to assign channel 5 which is the gear channel to your flight mode switch or whatever switch you want to be auto level. It needs to see a positive 100 value to be on and a zero or -100 to be off.
hello,will you rescue mode for spektrum be for the lastest high spec tx like yours? will the older DX7/8 be covered? Also for a novice like me actually seeing the settings was very good. would you be able to do a similar vid on duel rates? never quite understand them regards setup
hello! So technically speaking yes it should work on any spektrum radio. It will look different but I can actually even do a set up on a DX7! I have a DX7, DX9 and IX12 so I will be sure to test all three of them and make sure they all work the same. Because I fully understand that everybody has a expensive fancy radio like mine. I flew a DX6 then a DX7 then DX9 for 7 years then went to the IX12. Yes I can make a separate video on understanding Duel rates.

Unfortunately no, there is no battery telemetry with spektrum because the Goosky FBL does not support SRXL2

unfortunately you can not use a SRXL2. it has to be a regular DSMX satellite. you can use a AR6210 or get a Kensun DSMX satellite with a bind button.

What was the swash type? Seems kind of important
Swash type is normal, you don’t need to adjust that in the radio.

Yes, you can run the Kensun in the S2. No, you won’t have any issues running the M2 EVO battery’s in the S2.

Thank you! I leave the satellite, I unplug it from the RX I used for binding and plug it back into the FBL.

Use John Salt’s beginner setup. It allows you to dump the collective and set it down easy

My s2 rtf straight out of the box has a tail drift... how do I get rid of this please and thank you Dave

Hey guy thx for the video! I just got the ix14 and the goosky s2. Which newer model Satellite’ (?) I think was the word u used? Should I get now to make these two work? I’m assuming the 6 inch extension doesn’t come with it either?

So that’s just the satellite, you need to bind with a Regular RX with that satellite. You can get the Kensun satellite that has a bind button.

4 minutes???. I ran it for 4 minutes ok 100% and the volt got to 2.8 per cell
Yeah I land around 3.2v per cell. I fly mix for 4 minutes and if I’m running 100% throttle I land around 3:30
