Who's a big brave boy, seriously I have been watching you for a while now and the way you break these tricks down has given you some really good progress.
HO...LY...SH$T, you're doing boneless into transition! Nasty. Dude my age pulling it off! I just wanted to learn boneless, but now you made transition accessible. Most stoked I've ever been after a tutorial. Thanks YOU for paying the dues for us!
Mr Bishop~!Thank you BIG BRO ! You are not just a good instructor but a TRUE INSPIRATOR FOR THE MIDDLE AGED MEN who are getting inconfident and hesitant with aging! You have my great respect from the bottom of my heart. Sorry for my clumsy English. Thank you again from South Korea for your making this phenomenal archive on RUclips.
Yeah! This is sick. Amazing what a grown up approach can achieve. When I was 14 I tried a few, couldn’t do it, fell off then gave up. The slow mo at the end looks sick!
Careful grabbing your board while putting pressure on your thumb. I didn't even believe it myself at the time but my thumb dislocated because I put too much pressure on the thumb while grabbing and pulling, so now I always make sure to grab the board with my palm first without any pressure on my thumb.
Yeah that's right! Gotta love the boneless!! I learned them (-ish) after watching a trick tip video by the great late British skater Ben Raemers, RIP. Those bonelesses of yours on the mini ramp look really nice. Congrats!!
Yeah dude. I referenced the very same video I think (Ride channel?) his style is ace, I tried to kick them out the way he does, but no chance, couldn’t get close lol
@@JonBishopSkate Exactly, that Ride Channel video! Your style is pretty awesome too, though! Are you planning to learn the backside boneless too? I haven't been able figure those out yet on flatground, let alone on transition. I think the "brown trousers factor" must be pretty high for those! Would love to see you learn them and get some motivation! ;)
@@salmon9698 yeah I find the B/S really hard?? I’m gonna follow the same process as I did for these to get the B/S down. I like the hoping back and forth across the board one too !!
Love this! Literally one of my favorite tricks! A favorite variation of this is boneless to tail stall - it helpsto swap hands in mid air so your front hand is holding the nose as you lock in. Hope you have a go at this! Keep sharing these as I have learnt so much from you
Wicked dude, Yeah, I gave the boneless to tail a whirl. Bit trickier to get a nice one than I thought. It’s in this week video which I hope to post tomorrow if you fancy a peak ?!
Thanks again, very very helpful. Please never stop making your vids. I take paracetamol before evey sesh now. Conscious incompetence, I ve a long way to go, but I've got a great travel buddy
Nicely done indeed! This was pretty much the only trick I could ever do on a flat bank. I always used to catch the grab as it popped from stepping off though. I wouldn’t have the bottle to try it on a transition 😳 especially now I’m old and heal slower 😄
Truly fantastic journey you went through Jon! Coming back in seems really scary (brown trousers!). I have not started working on this trick yet, but as soon as I have recovered properly from my ankle fracture I will commit to this one.
Do it! I found them not too hard on the flat and the flat bank hip (which means they will be proper easy to everyone else!!) I think a larger trannie would be easier too. My mini doesn’t present an awful lot of downslope to land on !!
Nice one Jon! Been playing with this recently a bit too. Having trouble getting the front foot back on. Will try again tomorrow. The missus thinks I'm mental Haha Keep on rollin' brother
Hey Dude I recorded a video on skate protection. ruclips.net/video/gmISpmpXmfs/видео.html Helmet wise I use a Triple 8 Tony Hawk, but as long as it’s double certified I recon any brand will do the job?!
Hi Jon. Great video as always. I am having troubles putting my front foot back on. I found out it gets easier if I release the board from my hand earlier. I see you hold it till almost the very end of the landing. Have you tried releasing earlier? Does it work? Cheers and get well soon!
Hey dude Thanks for tuning in. Yeah I recon the early release is good, I’ve since worked on the tucked knee version to get the style points going. Best Jon
Sick Jon! Very inspirational! Random question, but do you wear any padding around the hips? If so, what do you wear? I still have bruises from months ago on my hips!
Hey dude, Yeah, I use Burton snowboard shorts with the G- Form pads built in. I also have beefed them up. I got some real bad hippers early on and needed to find a solution. I have really boney hips😀 If you fancy a peak, the details of what I use are in this vid. ruclips.net/video/gmISpmpXmfs/видео.html
Hey Dude Yeah, my mini is small and feels pretty friendly now. I’ve sort of learned how to bail on it without involving the knees too much. It’s painted and pretty slick so I find the skin slides on it quite well. The extra freedom helps me bend my knees which is something I struggle with. Knee pads are still on for bigger trannie and rough concrete. I also use them at the start of a scary trick where I’m not sure if I’ll bang my knee? It’s all personal preference, I certainly wouldn’t recommend it unless you are prepared to lose some skin 😀
Who's a big brave boy, seriously I have been watching you for a while now and the way you break these tricks down has given you some really good progress.
Many thanks for tuning in dude !!

Sick! Such a fun trick
I started skating at quite an old age. And seeing you ripping this trick on the ramp is definitely inspiring!
Many thanks for tuning in dude!
Right on
This trick is BADASS! So satisfying to watch you nail it
Nice one Jon, one of my fave tricks
Hat's off to you Jon that's commitment doing that trick off the coping

Good point, yeah I have a sore thumb from the grip tape, but luckily no thumb joint damage.
Let’s go Jon!! I would love to see you give the backside boneless a go!!
Dude you’re killing it! I found having my back foot above the back trucks a little seemed to make it easier
Giving us older boys some hope mate keep it up🤙
Many thanks for tuning in dude!!
Epic work Jon!! I’ve been meaning to get these dialed for some variety
This tips were very helpfull!! Thank you!
Thanks, classic trick- helpful as always, gonna get these on flat before i try on banks and transition ... Love the face at around 1 minute! ;)
Love the videos man! It’s super refreshing seeing the struggles of a normal bloke learning to skate like me haha

Today I learned from your video and noticed that it’s easier if you jump onto the shelf and do shifty bonless

This is great Jon! Spent an hour low in the transition today. Struggling with not stuttering that front foot jump.

Hey, get some knee high socks for in winter, they do a good job together with shorts for skateboarding. ;-)
Thanks dude, I always get way too hot regardless!!

Blood on the ramp at 9.25 and painted over a moment later?
Hey dude, yeah, The frost and ice peeled off the paint in places so in between sessions I touched it up to try and keep it protected !!
Dude I keep landing to flat do you have any tips? Please help
I've noticed that you have lost the kneepads in the last few months. How are you finding it? I can't quite get the courage yet.

I like the Mind Control stuff, it’s ace.

Build a taller ramp
