Sometimes you won't always have access to meaties with a medium, so the next best thing to meaty with is a light The risk to doing meaty lights (or meaty anything really) is that you can get Perfect Parried reliably or reversal'd at worst, and if they block then you are still +, and can either frame trap or tick throw/cmd throw. If you still guessed wrong, the only option that really hurts you immediately is going for cmd throw - both strike/throw options leave you pretty safe and cover options that beat people trying to avoid cmd throw. The reward however, is that you get to repeat the situation on hit, where you put the opponent in Manon's win condition where they have to guess between the 3 things mentioned before. The dmg is not mindblowing, but it adds up if your opponent refuses to be cmd thrown haha
it’s fairly simple stuff, it’s just using fighting game notation to communicate its ideas. if you’re a beginner you shouldn’t be thinking about setups like these, you should just read the in game character guides, training modules and combo trials. get solid fundamentals before watching videos about experimenting with optimal knockdown situations
Hiya bruv. If there's any particular terms or concepts you're wondering about definitions for? I'd be super willing to let you know some of em mate :))
It's definitely more advanced. However, learning to understand this is very helpful, and once you DO understand this kind of stuff, it will help a LOT.
Yo I got 9th at my weekly thanks to this guide! My first time not going 0-2!
This is great! I needed this! My week 0 manon got me to platinum 2 but this will help me during training.
The most useful manon tech video I've seen so far, thank you!
That thumbnail alone deserves a sub 😅
The intro lmfaooo “OMG”
Thanks for doing the homework for us man:)
EXTREMELY USEFUL. thanks!!
Solid video, subbed
Thanks for the homework. I'm grateful
It'd be much better if you include different scenarios where the opponent would react or how the setup would succeed or fail at different moves
After watching the guide you can test yourself in training mode your own scenarios so is ok
What does the "oB" notation stand for?
On block
Is going for meaty jab setups even worth it? The damage is so low that the risk/reward seems off to me

thanks for the hw
I didn't understand a single thing, video probably aims at people who already have the knowledge
Yes! Unfortunately it is not helpful to new players, but it is instead intended as a compilation of techniques for intermediate+ players
