I will never forget that moment, the first drop of Boden. This was my first concert of AMENRA, never heard of them before and when I entered the Barn, I did not know what was gonna happen. I suddenly froze, i couldn't move, purely amazed and overwhelmed. Never in my life i've felt such strong emotions during a concert. It's like they opened a part of my soul i didn't know. This band is truly a blessing and as weird as it might sound, the heaviness of the drops, the pain in his voice, it all makes me feel lighter, as if they were directly talking to the grief and darkness I hold inside. From the bottom of my musician heart, thank you. I know where to go when i'm feeling down or mad at life, you'll always be there to bring me peace. Can't wait to see you again this saturday in Ghent !!
I cant stop coming to this particular performance. It is so enthraling. This band has such a comanding presence when you watch them live. I saw them live in 2022 and they are by far the greatest live band I've ever experienced and that I think I'll ever experience. When you're there, first row, there's this impending sensation. It is a Ritual. They know how to put you in a certain mood, and that's why Boden as an opener is so effective. I started Crying upon hearing the intro of Boden, it all feels so powerful when you're in the right mindset. I left this live a new man, and with an irreplaceable and completely unique feeling I had never experienced before. Amenra is a core pillar of my life forever since. Must see live band.
I saw hippotraktor at the motocultor festival this summer and they fucking blew my mind i didn't knew them at the time and it couldn't have been a better surprise !
I wasn't an AMENRA fan before the first time I saw them, but it feels like if you have a functional heart that harbors pain, you HAVE to just be still and listen.
I noticed - trying to generalize as little as possible - that metalheads tend to not record a whole show, they'd rather enjoy the fucking music through their own eyes and suck it all up. Filming happens more at 'mainstream' shows I dare say
I have listened to progressively darker music over the last 15 years, im now 29. Never have i come across band that can capture the feeling of cathasis while filling you with dread and anxiety so perfectly..

I am thankful to the person who introduced me to this music group. I was wearing my crust gear and he gave me a church of ra patch from the sleeve of a shirt. I hope I meet them again to give them a patch in return.
Wat een mooie klank van die Gibson gitaar! Dit zeg ik natuurlijk als een gitarist mezelf. Pure emotions.
Moment magique à la Rochelle
lyrics:
I see distance in your eyes
Bury me
To sleep tonight
Your touch divine
I saw distance in your eyes
He came to claim
What was his
And for years you lived
A solitary reign
I retraced
My steps to your embrace
I wanted you to stay
Yet you died away
Your touch divides
I see distance in
In your eyes
Please sing me to sleep tonight
And for years you lived
A solitary reign
Your touch divine
The distance in your eyes
You reside in me
The sacrifice
Like blood seeping through
Your old wounds
I am your old wound
You took your leave
A new life to lead
Torn from you
Inside of you
Mother mine
The most beautiful eyes I could look into
I now see distance in your eyes
You lived a solitary reign
And to all that ever mattered
To all I ever loved
A solitary reign
Colossal!
