Hey Tom, just to be clear, in my comment of course I wasn’t making fun, but just joking around.
I guess the maths part would be the number of hours of practice vs accuracy!?
The math part is finding where to place the loop for maximum probability and determining it's size
@@quantumspark343 We all know it’s as far as possible from the keeper, so it’s the top corners.
😂
Tom really has the perfect body proportions to nail that football player look 😂
Haha yes
He’s like Toni Kroos
When you get a chance, how about showing us the multivariable equation(s) describing the nice bend you put on that gorgeous penalty kick.
I thought you were Tilda Swinton in the thumbnail. Subscribed!
I’ll take it
wow ok now i can't unsee that anymore
I thought you were a gai nerd and I was right so didn't sub 👍
In the game: Right, let me just anchor my red hoop there, then I'm ready
Tom in his mind: If I calculate the speed and all, I might hit the penalty kick.
Awesome!
When sport friend ask:
-did your math need in football?
And you answering yes
How to win every football match:
1. Be a mathematician
Alternative Option. Be a physicist
Pretty athletic for a big nerd 😂😂 just playing Tom great video
Tom! Send me greetings! Love ya mateeeee! Naked for science!
Hey Tom!🎉
Gooool!!!, debería venir a México para enseñarles a nuestros jugadores de selección nacional.
Trial and errors method 😂😂
I'm as smart as Sheldon Cooper and I say in order to hit it in do the following;😊
1. **Geometry Setup:**
- Let's denote the distance from the penalty spot to the hoop as \( d \) meters.
- The height of the hoop from the ground is \( h \) meters.
- The width of the hoop is \( w \) meters.
2. **Calculating the Angle (\( \theta \)):**
- Using trigonometry, we can calculate the angle at which to kick the ball. We want the ball to enter the hoop, so we need to find the angle that allows this.
- One approach is to use the tangent function: \( \tan(\theta) = \frac{h}{d} \).
- Therefore, \( \theta = \arctan(\frac{h}{d}) \).
3. **Considering the Force:**
- The force required to kick the ball at the calculated angle depends on various factors such as the weight of the ball, air resistance, etc.
- Without precise measurements and specific conditions, it's challenging to provide an exact mathematical formula for force. However, you can experiment with different force levels during practice to find what works best for you.
4. **Practice and Refinement:**
- Practice your kicks at the calculated angle, adjusting the force as needed based on the distance to the hoop and environmental conditions.
- Analyze your shots to identify any patterns or areas for improvement, and continue refining your technique accordingly.
By using trigonometry to calculate the angle and adjusting the force through experimentation, you can increase your chances of hitting the penalty shot inside the hoop consistently.
nice try chat gpt buzzinga
@@deity2507 At this point, I assume anyone who uses chatGPT and doesn't change the text, is just intentionally selling themselves out.
Nice
From which team is the kit?
why does bro look like toni kroos
U r the real footballer 💀
As a mathematician , i would just change the definition of "inside" and kick the ball
I wonder if we actually compute the angles, speed of ball, wind speed and every other variable, when placing the ball perfectly where we want it to go. To me it just seems natural, as I’ve done it for many years but I do wonder if we compute it in pure mathematics subconsciously!
Actually that Applied not Pure mathematics
@@wanyekivincent2883 so do we compute the angles etc subconsciously or not? I understand that applied mathematics could reach conclusion on how to score where you want it to go but to me, I feel as though there’s so many variables in the mix, I wonder if all can be accounted for.
@@peterb9407 Okay, yeah sure I think our brains are used to approximating this values. It is quite unlikely that our brains do the actual convoluted mathematics but from prior experience they are able to come up with a suitable way to make the shot.
@@wanyekivincent2883 I see, makes sense, thankyou!
I wonder too
W maths
Idk man I feel like a goalie would have predicted that kick after your 257 prior kicks
football is full of math. you just have to look for it
The best pens are those which are hard and low into the corner . The ones you got into the side netting are actually better pens
When Newton said g = Gm1m2/r^2, he was wrong. At the same time scientists say that his 1st law of motion is wrong as well because of the 1st law of thermodynamics. They claim that an external force can not change momentum in the body of a mass in motion. Think Bend It Like Beckham and yet who wanted him on the team? Word was he couldn't play defense.
Tom or Toni Kroos?
It's messssiiiiii
Fernando Torres.
No, Tilda Swinton
Random
We can play nice or I can debunk Newton. I learned to talk in Norway. Discuss with me 8^0 = x or y or I'll ask why Newton?
When u look at this man for the first time........u wouldn't think he was an oxford mathematician.....no offense by the way
Its Not a cirle to get a safe Goal in Penalty. Its a Field like between the x and y line and one line of f(x):1/x depending on the hight of the goalkeeper.
That was so close🎉
No way he is a Messi fan where is Ronaldo ❤❤😂❤❤❤
Why would you think he is a messi fan
With that hair you could play in the english league.Try and get someone to lightly tap you're ankle and see if you go down screaming in pain just to be sure.😊
Plz give me scholarship for the M. Phil
Kane, Saka, Sancho and Rashford should start studying maths 😂😂😂
Mah proffesor is also a Footballer 💞💥
Is he already a professor? (At this age damn)
suiii
Need Child 1, a place at Peterhouse aged 16 to read Sums and a place at Ajax FC aged 14…☺️ As for the target area…☺️
Did you take into account the Coriolis effect ? Lol

No a mathematical homosapian uses code to simulate it doing it, *it is not strong enough to do it as he has had no training and is weak*

its there only for left handed keepers
The problem is symmetrical - so the same place on the other side of the goal would also work just as well.
The problem is symmetrical so it would be the same but on the other side of the goal.
