It has been very dry here in Ireland this spring too but at least we now have rain. Wishing you a torrential downpour! :)

Beautiful show! I think it is fascinating to see just how many people have such a passion for plants and the desire towards contributing to a positive cause! Yes, we all take these plants home for our own enjoyment , but I think it is also fair to say that we do our damn best to encourage flourishing plants - which in turn help the environment to beenfit(.) :-)

I agree. Growing plants should definitely be encouraged. Thank you for watching.

Yes. Thats true. I would never have thought a tree fern would grow in Ireland.

Tree ferns are only reliably hardy here in the south of the country. Here's a link on our climate which you may find interesting...

You are certainly an ambassador for Ireland. I thought it was all just grass and rocks with bitterly cold winters.

The landscape looks so lovely in the sunshine (4:13) after the rain. It's always so wonderful when large trees are provided with the space and proper long-term care needed to become true specimens. I've always wanted to grow the magnificent cardiocrinum giganteum. Have you tried it? I would have had that fatsia polycarpa (1:40) in the boot of my car had I attended. Oh well, my next show & sale is the San Diego Cactus & Succulent Society sale. It's sure to stoke my plant lust! And empty my wallet. ;-)

A super show. Yes, I grow cardiocrinum and have several from seed. But it's a long haul to flowering. Fatsia polycarpa had been on my wish list for a very long time and that was surely a fine example. Maybe next year! Enjoy San Diego!
