Weightless Wendy - buy activated charcoal capsules can be bought at health foods or even Walmart in the vitamins section. Open a capsule or two and pour on bristles of toothbrush or directly on teeth. Let sit on teeth for 2-5minutes then brush thoroughly you will see they whiten at least one to two shades instantly. repeat twice a week and you’ll have the whitest natural teeth around. Yes they now sell toothpaste with charcoal and jar of charcoal powder in toothpaste aisle but it’s $8-20 when you can buy a bottle of capsules for $6-8 and use it for a variety of things such as your teeth, add to your diet for detox, make a facial peel of mask especially for blackheads just bust open 3-4 capsules mix with elmers white school glue which is safe and non toxic avoid eye area obviously and works just as good if not better than the charcoal mask on market. (Been using activated charcoal capsules for over 10yrs before it became a thing/fad)

But no matter how much my mom was on her about it my sister just doesn't care about her hygiene. Me on the other hand I always stay on top of mines. And I have 2 daughters and I stay on top of them with they hygiene. My mom use to say "you are the first to smell yourself and if you smell it then others can smell you too good or bad"

I know everyone is different, but why the 2 showers-a-day thing? If you are clean, use clean washcloths & towels, wear clean undies & clothing, use so many specialized products for cleansing & deodorizing... why are so many showers necessary?
I would think scrubbing off your normal feminine flora & moisture would cause more harm than help?
(I'm not speaking of perspiration on the outer areas of labia, thighs & mons.) I'm talking about the inside where your normal feminine secretions that moisten the labia minora, clitoris, & inner vulvar skin are. That area can go 24 hours without disturbing. Of course, plain water probably won't hurt anything. The vagina is an amazing ecosystem that is naturally self-cleansing.

We got the ivory soap and wash “rag” with no instruction except not to play around in the tub bath too long-everyone needed to get in the bathroom! Dad said to take a Navy shower of 4 mins and out! I had to learn everything from friend’s Mothers. We just knew the hot water bottle hanging in the bathroom smelling all nasty and gross like vinegar was not the one we used for sore stomachs or pain of any type! 😂🤣😂 Knowledge was not shared in that house-just get out for the next person. I started using Shower to Shower as a young girl, and got ovarian cancer from using it to stay fresh. I’m glad u stressed “without talc” for your powder. What gave u the idea to make these videos to help young women? It’s really thoughtful of you! Thank you, even 57 year olds catch some helpful hints from your product reviews! Thanks again!!

I'm a big girl and a master's prepared public health nurse. I work in the STI department, and often educate women on what's normal in terms of vaginal odor and diacharge. I enjoyed the video. The dove soap is a little off (the formula has changed). I went to ivory when I'm not making my own soap. I find since I have changed to ivory I'm fresher longer. When using my own soap that I make my pH is more balanced, and the vaginal discharge is very minimal (normal). Normal is clear and in very small amounts. There should not be any fishy or musty odor. You may be a little musty after sweating from working out, but if you find that you are musty minutes to a few hours after a shower your pH is likely off. If your pH is off then you are more prone to bacteria vaginosis and yeast infections. I prefer not to use powder in my belly button or fat rolls because when sweat it cakes and cause skin irritation. A thin layer of coconut oil with a few drops of t tree oil has proven to be the best deoderizer throughout the day. I also sweat less under the fat rolls with this tip. This is because coconut is naturally an anti fungal. The t tree oil is anti fungal, anti bacterial, and antiviral. I've been using this combo for 1.5 years, and I am more confident.

I have never heard anyone talk about these things and with the detailed descriptions explaining how to self care. As as Mom I realize how much I have never discussed with my daughters. I never thought of it before. Although it will be uncomfortable and awkward, I plan on watching this with my 12 year old daughter (she is not plus size, but I am,) and trying to start a conversation. I do the same thing in using separate (always white)wash cloths for my face and body, but for my vaginal area, my mother taught my sisters and I to use our soapy hand. With a wash cloth it is too easy to get soap up into places it DOES NOT belong and to miss places it DOES belong. The fingers are gentle and I can feel each crevice and I do it twice with fresh soap and a rinse both times. The final rinse should be very thorough, because any residual soap can cause problems. I do the same for the anal area. I wash that area completely separate from the vaginal area. I am particularly sensitive and washing by hand keeps me from feeling sore in the vaginal area. Afterwards I rinse my wash cloths very thoroughly and leave them in the side of the tub until dry, then put them into the laundry hamper.

Good morning Wendy. I’m now tooled up with my new requisite personal hygiene kit. I went straight to amazon n got some of the items you are using yourself. Here in the UK, it’s sometimes difficult to get our hands on stuff that you guys use in the US. It’s not that I don’t wash. But I wasn’t always using the correct things. In my 20s I used to use a couple of drops of tea tree oil in my baths. It was recommended as a good way to intimately cleanse your feminine parts. In Jamaica, where my parents are from, women would wash intermit areas with lime in their personal hygiene routine. That was back in the 50s though. I’m going to pass on what I have learnt from you to other disabled women, curvy girls. As I know, being unsure of ourselves hygienically has held us back from forming intimate relationships. So glad I found your posts, n appreciate your openness, I shall deffo get my friends to check you out. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽

Mothers should teach their girls this really, maybe they can just link to this vid and they can learn this stuff 🖤 I'm a brown girl, I have had so many problems trying to find products for my skin and hair in the UK climate! I need to go back and check out your other vids :)

Wendy...this is my first watch of you and you are just lovely!...You are naturally open communicative person who speaks with care, sensitivity and respect. I appreciate you sincerely and honestly you would be a source of support and encouragement to young girls from 9 to 16. Your warmth and down to earth sensitivity would be a powerful experience for any young lady who NEEDS to fully understand and respect her personal and feminine hygiene care. This is an important subject matter that by its nature is SENSITIVE by nature.
God Bless you for being a source of safe and healthy information that can be scary and daunting to any young girl learning about caring for her feminine body. You ROCK!...
BY THE WAY: We need to take Wendy’s advice about no matter what your size or age: BE SENSITIVE and GENTLE with yourselves and your personal care. This is key ladies!...Also you will learn your own body and see what works well or what does not. We are all women but we are unique as well so some may work and some may not. However this is a GREAT starting point.....

I'm a plus size woman who likes to be extra clean too. Nothing better than feeling and smelling clean and fresh! I use vagisil odour control and dove clinical antiperspirant deodorant, not because I really need to, but because they just make me feel cleaner and fresher than normal products. I have much of the same habits and routines, as well as for my hair and scalp. My experience of bigger women has been that they either have a very strong, unpleasant, body odour smell, or they always smell extra lovely, and I like to be of the latter group. I've taught my 2 boys and 1 girl how to keep themselves clean and fresh properly as well.

Love it when you do these types of vlogs! When I was growing up, even tho I had sisters & my mom, I didn't learn much about feminine hygiene til I was older. Our house didn't have indoor plumbing til I was about 13! But my mom always made sure we were clean. Every night in a big old zinc tub, in the kitchen where the tall Warm Morning wood stove was, she bathed me & my sister (7 yrs older) would bathe. My oldest sister (17 yrs older) was married just a month after I was born. I also have a brother between my 2 sisters, so everyone is older than me & I'm 61! I love the products you show that you use. I use the Bronner's unscented baby wash on my body & scalp (No hair!). I really would like to see you do a hygiene vlog for older, disabled women like me who has difficulty getting into a tub to shower, unable to stand for very long at a time, etc. I'm unable to shower every day like I used to & I feel really uncomfortable sometimes even though I try to clean myself good with unscented baby wipes & use talc free powder. I still have problems with my legs along my pantyline sweating & if I don't clean that area right away with a wipe or try to shower, I tend to get a yeast growth there. I have to use Vagisil or some type cream on it for several days & it still comes & goes. My blood sugars have been running really high for a few months & sometimes I will get real clammy & sweaty, but I don't immediately change underclothes. Maybe I need to be more conscious of that. I'm on insulin shots & Jardiance now along with the metformin & glimepiride so my levels are improving. I'd just like to see what your thoughts are, or anyone else's who watches your channel, about how to keep really clean when not able to shower. You talk about things so well & are so good at describing areas of our bodies without being "silly" but you're explaining parts, etc, that some young girls might not know about is very good & forthright. Almost as if they're hearing it from a doctor! You do a great job, Wendy, & a great service to all us ladies, young & old! I'm also proud you're using sunscreen! As you know, part of the reason I'm bald is from having 2 LG basal cell carcinomas removed from my scalp & also have alopecia, as well as having areas "frozen" on my face & nose. Everyone needs to be aware of the dangers of skin cancer & use sunscreen. I never dreamed at my age I would have 2 "craters" on my head from cancer & surgery. I hope this vlog gets lots of views! Women need to know their bodies! Thanks for doing such a good, no nonsense approach to feminine hygiene! Hugs & blessings! 💜💜

My mother has been disabled my whole life. Even when you are not able to shower cvs, walmart, or any other store like that. There are unscented bath wipes that become a life saver. Baby wipes are a bad idea, because of the chemicals coming out of your skin from the medicine. Will cause a film on your skin.

I started brushing my cheeks, gums, and roof of mouth! I read if yogurt is pasteurized it kills the probiotics. I use to use a peppermint foot lotion maybe after a long day and your feet hurt soak your feet using that peppermint soap. It was really refreshing. I understand completely about the using the showerhead I must never have been clean! If it doesn't have aluminum is it an antiperspirant and deodorant. You might want to try cornstarch under your breasts and on your thighs. I'm elastic sensitive and it keeps me from bleeding. I took a speech class and learned to use note cards or regular paper write really large what you want to say so you only have to glance at them to make sure you mention everything you want to. I don't know if I should mention this or not but it may help you and others so... I couldn't where tampons either because it was uncomfortable or painful. My husband ask if I knew how I was curved inside I said no. He told me to put my finger inside myself. I was embarrassed. I tried it and was finally able to use a tampon at age 25! I knew exactly what angle to push it in. I was able to take a water aerobics class finally. Hope this helps. Oh and make sure you push it in as far as plunger will go otherwise it's not in right place and will be very uncomfortable to sit.
