On a DP group I read yesterday someone saying that they had discovered DAC and now they know to only buy from them. I was rather surprised that their entire body of knowledge was one budget company they had been buying from and now that they found DAC they wouldn't buy anywhere else. At the moment I read it I thought, wow, they have no clue about all the other really good companies out there. So perhaps your thoughts on how to get diamond paintings is a really good idea. If there's one person who thinks there is only one way to buy, I would bet there are many. Hoping all your medical issues are resolved quickly and painlessly.
My parents once had a woodpecker pecking on their house. I almost laughed myself to death listening to my mom fuss about the "blame woodpecker!!" She couldnt understand it either because the house was brick and aluminum siding so there was no wood for it to peck on. I once went outside and looked and you could see indentations that were small where the woodpecker had been drilling away on the house. So of course I laughed when you said you had one and it was confused!!! As far as your beginner series...Yes start with the very basics because some people may find your videos and know zero about the craft and could use that type of help. I know when I first started I knew nothing and I learned as time went on but having it up front is very helpful. Also, I still like seeing the perspective of starting as a beginner because I want to see how you would go about it. I love the idea of seeing something new that I may not have thought of doing. 00Youre definitely on the right track in my opinion!
From someone that is so new to diamond painting it would be nice to know where to get diamond painting kits. I live in a small town that only has Walmart which doesn't have hardly any kits. Also being a full time caregiver I'm not able to travel to stores. So for me it would be very nice to know the places online to order from that are safe and the ones that wont scam you. So I would be extremely interested in all of those videos.
Im so amused by your fascination with lace-making: because I've been right there! Well, I never wanted to actually get into it myself. 😅 A little while back my then roommate (and still best friend) started making lace and collecting bobbins! It's crazy how much time it takes to make even the smallest thing - but its gorgeous. As a crocheter I got the opportunity to gift her some of my lighter weight yarn that she could pull apart, and made her some little bobbin groupers! 😊
Hi Daphne, that is an awesome idea with videos especially with how to use coupons and codes. Sorry to hear you're not feeling well I have been praying for you so I keep praying because we could all use prayers. I am on vacation this week so I need to catch up on some other Diamond Painting creator's videos then I will look at the Tatting and Bobbin lace videos. Have a good week. Sending hugs from Ellis 🌻 💎
I just started diamond painting last April. I watched all the You Tube videos that I could find to learn all that I could. Each person had different helpful tips and tricks. I'm sure that what you put together will be wonderful.
So sorry to hear about your health issues. Those things can be so difficult and distressing. Looking forward to your new series. I'm almost two years into diamond painting and still learn so much from how-to's.
Hope you start feeling better soon! Yes, a Diamond painting video for beginners will be so helpful for those who’s are new. There is always so many questions we have and things we have to learn with: diamond painting kits, where to buy, costume pens and multi placers we can use with them, etc)
Hey Daphne, I sure hope the doctors figure out what’s going on soon! Over the years I’ve had issues with one of my parotid gland on the left side. When it would swell up, it was very uncomfortable and I looked like a chipmunk 🐿️ It doesn’t occur as often as it used to, hope I didn’t just jinx myself! I knit, crochet, and quilt too. I have tried tatting but not bobbin lace. Have fun with it!
I'm relatively new to diamond painting, so all the things you talked about for beginners would be great. I'm really interested in how the destashing sales go and where to go to find them. Good luck to you and all that is going on with your health and the move.
I met at the airport in Salina, Kansas who had just attended a weekend class retreat with Nuns in Concordia, Kansas that taught her tatting!! She flew in from New York to attend. We also both crochet so that’s how we started our conversation!
Hi Daphne, I’m new to your channel, but not really to diamond painting. I started diamond painting about seven or eight years ago and continued with it for around two years. Unfortunately, my work hours increased significantly so I had to stop doing it. I’m now retired due to health reasons and I’m considering getting back into diamond painting again, but after watching a few of your videos I quickly realized that some things have changed with the diamond painting world and I had forgotten some details too. I have enough kits to get back into it, but it would sure be nice to have a few of your tutorials/videos to get me reacquainted with diamond painting again. I hope your doctor figures out your health issue very soon. I know how frustrating and tiring it can be going through lots of tests over a period of time with no real answers yet. Praying for you. Take care, Janet 🤟
It is really fun to make lace and you can do it pretty simply bobbin lace is a bit more but still easy enough. start with cotton twine as you can do and undo easier and if want more color can dye it.
As someone who is learning the viola, at age 44, you will definitely need a teacher. Stringed instruments especially are extremely difficult to self-teach because there is a lot of technique involved. Until I found a teacher, I was ending each practice session in tears, unable to progress at all. There were so many problems that I couldn't suss out on my own, and it didn't matter how much I read or watched; until I got that face-to-face instruction, I couldn't progress. I imagine intricate hobbies are similar: a teacher is vital.
@@ViolasandStardust Oh, yes, I would definitely find a teacher to learn an instrument. I had a keyboard ages ago and tried to teach myself piano. Total fail. Thanks for watching!!
I hope you meet all your Halloween deadlines, especially resolution of your medical issues. With interest rates coming down, I think your house will sell quickly. I am looking forward to your beginner videos. Although I consider myself a seasoned diamond painter, I enjoy watching other’s processes. I am continuing to evolve in my diamond painting journey.
I would watch a video on where to buy diamond paintings from. It can be a bit of a mine-field out there especially with non-licensed art and AI. To have someone explain what to look out for would have been a blessing when I started diamond painting. Sending you good luck and good vibes on selling the house and your health issues. Fingers crossed both will be sorted soon ❤
Enjoy ur videos, being a rather new diamond painter u've taught me lots of tips. I'm hoping U'll receive great results from ur tests and they resolve whats'wrong soon, sending U healthy vibes, Have great day 🌻🌻🌻

I started diamond painting late 2023 and have thrown myself into it, but I know I could still benefit from learning everything from the get go. Plus like others said, this would be your take and your viewpoint on things. I look forward to the videos.
I saw bobbin lace in a book years ago and was fascinated. However, I believe it would be very hard on the eyes and very time consuming. From memory you would need a pillow, bobbins and pins as equipment. Maybe you could buy those and if it didn’t work out you could sell them. I’d start something small first if you did try it. I hope you can find relevant info.
@@ChristinePhethean For now, I’m just enjoying watching other people do it. After the move, I hope to find someone or a group so I can learn it. Thanks for watching!!
