I do 5 hooks for each new VSL script in 1 CBO. So each VSL has 5 variations. Once I crack a VSL for a product, it usually lasts for many months (one script can last for years, just by remaking it with new scenes/spokesperson/hooks), so I either make a new VSL for that product to hit a different angle and penetrate a new audience pocket or move on to get another product/funnel profitable.
