- In this episode, we are diving into the dark world of Gotham City with Selina Transforms from 1992 Batman Returns.

A feeling of a poison slithering and running in your veins. It’s horrifying but there is also something sensual and feminine about it too. Almost like seeing something horrifying but you can’t look away.
Dark piano series wouldn’t be possible without you and other viewers - you helped me to get the new piano. Without it, the series wouldn’t exist. The series is giving me an excuse to explore, research, and analyze different kinds of dark and twisted pieces of our culture. The process helps me to grow in my own composition work as well.

This was a beautiful dark piano piece, Katja. I really enjoyed it. Batman has always been my favorite superhero and of course Catwoman my favorite villain from his Rogue's Gallery. There is such an air of mystery about this song, drawing you in, dangerously closer and closer, captivating your attention all while feeling just a little bit "wrong" until the very end when there's no escape and you're captured by the cat's claws. I love many of Danny Elfman's songs too and hope you will cover more of his music in the future. Kävele aina pimeässä, Katja.

Batman Returns is my 2nd favorite movie of all time. I have the vastly underrated score by Danny Elfman on my iPod playing quite frequently. So, to hear a very well done piano/keyboard cover of one of the best cues of the soundtrack while adding their own dark flare to it just makes it that much more rewarding to listen to. Keep up the good work!

Hadn't heard this one, but you can tell pretty quickly that it's Danny Elfman. Very nice piece of music. Perfectly played and the arrangement is beautiful. It's always hard to transcribe orchestra to piano, but I think you did a very impressive job. You capture all the important details, both harmonically and dynamically. Love your piano covers.
Danny Elfman is unique in a way that you can definitely recognize his stuff from others. This was fairly difficult to transcribe and arrange for the piano since the original has string instruments. I believe it's impossible to get the same feel with the piano so I changed the approach and style a tiny bit. Thank you, Daniel! You rock, sir!

Wonderful work, as always! I love Danny Elfman’s scores, especially his work in Beetlejuice and Batman. You took a very tense and percussive score and made it your own: haunting and beautiful.
