    Totally agree. I never had any experience with 3D printers. Bought an E3 S1 Pro and the features made it so easy to start printing for a beginner. A bit more googling helped prevent long term issues like cable damage, clog prevention, roller wheel tension, etc.

    A nice tip is that resin printing is awsome with its quality but with all that after processing it gets a little worser. I have tried both FDM (Filament printer) and resin printing I would suggest FDM for new comers. The thing that was hard about resin printing was that you cant have 1 flaw, if that happens the print will fail. The slicers are not always perfect and you will have to do some things manually. I like FDM better because of its easiness. If you want bigger and more toyish prints I would suggest FDM, but if you want stuff like minutures then resin printing is best. I like FDM because i dont really want my 3d printing life to be all about little minutres, though you can make articulated dragons or stuff like that in resin printers, its just not the best. In conlusion if you want a easy printer and a printer that you will only print cool things like articulated dragons or somthing a FDM printer is best, but if you want high quality level printers for projects then a resin printing is best.

      Can't go wrong for the price. I have a print farm with Ender 3 S1 Pros (x4), an though I could get a better printer, these just work. All the time. Every day. Sure, you have to tune them like any other printer, but once you do...
      I had a printer down for about 9 months (just didn't have anything to print other than toys), an it kept it's level an flawless print. Just wish I could get Klipper to work properly.

      For great details on small miniatures and saving up time when printing many miniatures at once - I'd say go with a resin printer!
      But be sure you have a good place for it (garage/outdoor/remotely room) since it's pretty messy and you need alcohol to clean your prints and printerhead/container with.
      It will also be quite smelly and not great to handle without decent ventilation around, so having the printer in an environment you and others don't spend much time in is prefered.

    Hey, a little off topic but what is the strongest plastic you can 3d print with? I have an idea to make something game-changing for my industry, but I don't know if the plastics would be strong enough. Could you make a blade to cut through aluminum?

    • @woutervanmoll
      @woutervanmoll 2 года назад

      You can 3D print metal with a 3D laser printer. Design what ever you have in mind in CAD and have a company make the print for you to see if your idea actually works. Those kind of printers are very expensive and they are not giving perfect results, so do expect some work to finish off you product.

    I think the Bambu Lab x1 carbon would take the filament printing cake if money is not an consern. Similiarly the Phrozen Mighty 8k or Anycubic Photon M3 Max if you want the absolute best of the best details with larger build volumes. Anycubic Photon D2 if you want to invest on the DLP projection printing future with more lifespan and the best details available on a smaller figures. You'll also lose a a bit of printing volume since D2 only supports printing in 6.5 x 5.1 x 2.9 in. / 165 x 131 x 73 mm (HWD).

    I have not had a good experience with the Ender 3 V1 Pro with CL touch. After 3 weeks I still cannot get anything other than the most basic items to print accurately. This one just might be a lemon, but the factory basically just ignores any requests for help. Releveled at least 30 times. I sent an email requesting to return within the 14 days and on the 14th day they sent me a link to a RUclips Video and told me good luck. Totally wish I had bought something that had better support. I'll sell this one now for $360.

      You have to understand that the Ender printers require you to tinker and get deep into it. Learning about firmware, sometimes tweaking your own. Testing different slicer settings & printer settings. I didnt print anything good for ages, after many weekends of tinkering. Theres no hand holding here, & if you put in the time to learn & watch a lot of videos/articles, you'll understand 3d printing very well. Can be rewarding when it works, but again, it requires your effort

    • @LEDchip_FLA
      @LEDchip_FLA 2 года назад +1

      @@rubberonasphalt I totally understand the points you made. Unfortunately for players like Creality, they will continue to sit in the past and service the cheap, low margin, do it your self market. I have ordered a Bambu Labs Carbon Combo with 4 color on demand printing to see if they got it right as every reviewer has said. It also has a larger bed size, LIDAR first layer checking, 100% auto leveling, included enclosure and printing speeds of at least twice (6 times???) as fast. It also has a built-in camera to see exactly what went wrong when something does fail.
      I'll take $340 now for my 4 week old Ender 3 Pro with CR leveling, 12 extra nozzles and 2 glass bed. I am thinking of just getting the a 10 watt laser cutter/ engraver for this Ender if I cannot sell it.
