    I have a close tuvaluan friends, im from yasawa , island of the coast of Lautoka and its amazing how the tuvaluan language has many similarities with my dialect as well as some words from the interior of Fiji such as a word from naitasiri as well as ra. Funny thing though some words have same pronunciation but completely different meaning.
    Anyway thanks to the Fijian Govenrment for also lookimg into the needs of the Kioans.
    I grew up thinking Kioans and Rabians were originally from Fiji.

      @Esira Koli ???, They were mostly Banabans who left Gilbert Islands due to excessive Phosphate mining.

    Wow those early arrivals on the island of Kioa they find it hard to familiar with the environment but they survived...of course they'll survive the land is so rich in many many ways ....

    I'm tripping out on this.
    I'm from Tonga my last name is kioa and my brother's name is tuitakau kioa.
    I've never heard of this island before
