- One pair of the Schmolke Carbon shifter clamps on the scales.
24mm for Standard handlebars, External tread for Shimano Levers
Is it worth "upgrading" the Stock shifter clamps on Dura Ace?
Claimed weight is 8g for the pair.

These videos are not reviews, nor is it an endorsement of the product in question. Just the checking actual weight of the thing.
I got the next suggestion for you, I found titanium shifter bleed screws on eBay $25 a pair. 😂
I had these. Unfortunately ripped the stud out of the carbon. Went back to the Titanium clamps and feel much more confident
Yeah I had that thought too... there is being a weightweenie, which is great, then there is taking silly safety risks for a couple of grams. Frankly the finish quality looks like a kid made them in their garage.
I would not have thought that you can save ~7g by replacing shifter clamps 😱
Mine came in exactly at the advertised 8.0g.
Really opening my eyes to what's out there in regards to saving grams
Those metal clamps look like a relic from the 70's. Is there not a better clamp design?
I’m a huge weight weenie, but even that’s a step too far for me. I respect giving people the option though
You can get the top nut part in titanium for another few grams less (available on ali)
The torque specs are really low so you can even go aluminium for a bit of extra saving.
Can you tell me what to search for? Cant find the Ti bolts on ali.
This is getting out of hand :D - sincerly hope they are more robust than that seatpost binder.. otherwise I fear for your safety on your next DH KOM, when the shifter suddenly gives out 😬
You never descend on the hoods 😬

Any longer term review on these? Do they hold up fine?
No problems this far
has it someone on the roval rapide cockpit? Does it fit? Would like to replace my ultegra clamps when I can not get a titanium dura ace clamp...
How much truque does this thing needs?
Seems a little sketchy, especially long term. It goes to show you how well designed the original Ti clamps are that they are as light as they are and be very robust. I would rather change to a ligher bolt.
what size of the screw?
🤩Beaut
Not for me that seems like they will eventually break and a ride home with a floppy shifter.
Ditch the disco brakes & run THM rim brakes…with some decent tubulars on AX Lightness or Lightwight 32mm rims…keep the disc rig for sketchy weather…
Schmolke is just punking their customers
i never do this thing. risk life. cannot imagine the handle suddenly break when off saddle.
Poor design---the shape is round and not oblong, so don't think it would be possible to mount these on some handle bar styles
Spending silly money trying to make a disc bike slightly lighter is pointless. Start with a rim brake bike if weight weenie is the goal.
Yawn 🥱
