What a reassuring info from a CEO for a Chinese owned company

But it is a Swedish company. Chinese startups and companies aren't selling where Volvo is selling, like North America for instance and Volvo has been in North America since the 1950s.

It's not. Many cars are now China made only such as all polestars, all Lynk n co, many Volvos such as just released EX30

@@ciybersal9833 That is not true. Where do you guys get your information? Most Volvos are made in Belgium and Sweden. The Swedish plant is undergoing a huge transformation to be modernized for EVs. The next big Volvo plant will be in Slovakia. The batteries will be made by Northvolt, a Swedish company. Polestars are made in China but the Polestar 3 will be made in the USA and future Polestars will be made in Europe. But Polestars and Volvos are designed and engineered in Sweden. The Polestar 4 is based on a Zeekr because they wanted to get it out fast. The others are based on Swedish-engineered and designed Volvo models.
Lynk and Co is not Volvo. They're a CEVT company that has more Geely involvement in it. Zeeker is also a CEVT company. Volvo has some involvement in CEVT, but Volvo and Polestar are in the Volvo/Polestar division and they operate out of Gothenburg. Lotus is its own operation as well even though future Lotus cars may be constructed in China. The bulk of Lotus engineering, though, is done in England as well as some of Polestar's engineering. The best thing about Geely is it doesn't take over their acquisitions 'culture and operations and keeps a certain level of autonomy and heritage in those brands,.

ALL Lynk and Co, Lotus, Polestars, MG, Zeekrs are Made in China. New cars such as Volvo EX30 just released to great acclaim will NOT be made in Europe AT ALL. Mini production is moving to China and ALL of Smart Car production has moved to China shutting off in Germany. There are only a handful of people employed by these Chinese companies in Europe to do design and engineering. The bulk of carmaking has moved and IS moving to China as we speak. FACTS.

THat's not totally true. Only one Volvo, the new EX30, sits on a Geely platform. And that platform was partially developed in Sweden. Current Volvo's sit on the SPA platform, a Volvo developed platform. The next generation big Volvo, the EX90 sits on the SPA2 platform, a Volvo developed platform. Also, Volvo gets its technology from various sources, only some are Chinese. It's mostly Google based, uses Nvidia and they have their own software company called Zenseact.

@@ciybersal9833 No, it isn't Chinese in essence whatsoever. It is a Swedish product like it has always been and much more so than when American car company Ford owned Volvo .All Geely has done is finance and grow the Swedish operation. In fact, of most of the companies owned by a parent company, Volvo is one of the more autonomous and independent ones.
Since Rowen has taken over as CEO, Volvo has been looking to save money by using more of the Geely resources. But the Swedeish headquarters dictates the product direction, not the parent company at Geely. All the sustainability direction, move to EV power, that's coming out of Gothenburg. In fact, Volvo took over most of the Chinese factories to make them greener and up to Volvo's pollution and operating standards.

I would say that he is obviously wrong.. Look at the weekly insurance numbers in China.. Which is like 60% of all the EV'S sold globally.. Now add up all of the Chinese brands, & add all of the rest including Tesla.. The numbers are crazy.. China is already completely dominant in EV's.. What does this guy think we are stupid?? & Chinese brands are exporting to Europe, South America, & parts of the Middle East.. Most likely Africa as well.. Now the US?? & Geopolitics going on there.. Maybe he is right, for now..
