Well since i think viewers didn't meet Marilee until after her husband's suicide we don't know what their marriage was like and in a way maybe Marilee was grateful for her husband's death because his dying gave her power in Dallas.Plus her husband's suicide happened off-screen and how we sure Marilee didn't have a part in her husband's death.For example after learning that Seth was tricked by JR maybe Marilee lashed out at him and as a result it pushed Seth to kill himself.

@@aph1976We met Marilee several times before her husband died. All of them were with Sue Ellen and sometimes Miss Ellie involving the DOA meetings.
Yeah. Marilee was always smirking at Sue Ellen at the DOA meetings.
