I have enjoyed your video and it really helps me with my recovery from my brain tumour and stroke as I try to get back to my modelling Thank you I mention my illness so you know who is watching and why thank you again Keep up the great work
Thank you so much! Comments like this make all the efforts of putting the videos together worthwhile, and I'm very glad you find it helpful. Wishing you all the best in your recovery!
Thanks very much! That would be amazing, although sadly at the moment I've only got a (very much work in progress) home layout which I don't have the ability to transport. However I am planning a portable micro 009 layout, so maybe once that's finished!
Great video, in my experience Nigel Brooks kits knock it out of the park, the wagons are better then Dundas kits, easier to build, better detail and cheaper, superb 👍
In the end, it’s a very Nice locomotive. In fact, one day, hopefully, I could do a locomotive just like this one. I have my own Thomas & Friends OC’s, and I want to Recreate them in OO scale. I actually have an OC who is based off of the exact engine this model is.
Really impressed by that! Looks great and fits in to a small budget too. Hoping to build a small oo-9 layout myself and trying to keep the cost of the tracks/loco/rolling stock initially to under £150.
Yeah, it's one of the best kits I've found in this price range. I'm not a super skilled modeller, but I think it came out really well. Good luck with your layout!
I am getting something similar . I am trying to find one that resembles one of the talylln railway douglas no6 engine . To fit on this chassis . However I can’t seem to find one . Tho I will eventually . Or if I can’t then maybe a hugged falcon engine to fit on the chassis maybe . One of them
I've got a spare 107 and just checked it. The motor housing is slightly longer and quite a bit taller than the one on the 109. It could be made to fit, but you'd need to trim a small amount of material from the end of the hole the chassis clips into. You'd also need to trim a little from the bottom of the boiler blackhead/firebox, and the motor housing would be slightly more visible inside the cab.
I have an airbrush, although it's in need of maintenance at the moment. I actually really enjoy the process of brush painting and find it much more therapeutic and rewarding than spraying. From normal viewing distances the difference is much less pronounced than in close up photos and videos
I do enjoy the standard gauge too, and there's plenty of SG vids on the channel, but I do have a definite affinity for the narrow and I'm currently only modelling in 009

This is where resin comes I to it's own. The finish is superb. Pla wouldn't even come close
I have delt with nigel brooks. He is a friendly and nice bloke. Will be buying again when i get my layout sorted.
Pretty cool kit that.... it even comes with the windows, which 3d printed kits never seem to do!
Yeah, the amount of extra details included is really impressive, particularly for the price!
@@FortheLoveofSteam Definitely. Just been looking at their site and kits. Cheers for the prompt.
He does have a good range of stuff with more in development, but this is the only one I've tried so far
Admire your dedication and patience.....
Thank you so much, I certainly had a lot of fun putting it together!
Lovely build, well done.
Thank you very much! It's a lovely kit, and whilst I'm a more enthusiastic than skilled builder it goes together really well
Good work! Maybe this year we could have you visit our next event with your layout! 🙂

Aah no worries. Well keep intouch with us about your portable layout, and I'm sure we could fit you in somewhere at the next event. 😉
Thank you, now I've got an incentive to start building it!
Looking forward to seeing it! 👍
I’ve been to the Glyn Valley Tramway!
Thanks for visiting! We hope we will be doing another event this year too. 🙂
Very good work 👍🏻
Thank you very much!

Thanks, I'm looking forward to trying out some more of his kits!

3D resin printers have changed our modelling. Anything we can CAD we can print now.

Does a 11-106 or 11-107 work too?
If so, are there any changes? Or will it just work a little less faster stronger etc-

I just subscribed I’m your 1000th!
Amazing, thank you so much! 🎉
Yw!
What type off glue did you use when building the model please ?
I used loctite power gel, as I find it has a nice precise applicator, and doesn't run like some other glues
@@FortheLoveofSteam thank you it looked like it worked very well
See I cant do models
do you not have an airbrush thew finish is so much better

You dont like standard gauge only narrow gauge
