I always feel sorry for Owen. He's a damn good actor, charismatic, but he will never live down passing on Bond. He made a mistake, and he tried to sort of power through it and even do his own spy film in The International, but really, he overplayed his hand when he demanded a financial stake in the series. He bought into his own hype probably a bit too much and too early to insist on this. And after 2009, his window of being trendy was over, his movies were tanking and that was it for him in the big leagues. Apart from few great parts here and there like The Knick, he pretty much is now reduced to being the guy who could've been James Bond. It's such a kind of bitter or sad legacy. He deserves better, but really, he messed it up himself. I still like him as an actor, but he is so seldom doing anything interesting.
