@@bl00dhoney I agree, he could play Bond. It's not that demanding a role. (Except physically!) Owen is fully capable of being a cool, professional agent. Doesn't really have the upper class accent (I don't think I've ever seen him in a role where he doesn't just use his regular voice), but that seems to be less of a priority these days. I remember seeing him in King Arthur, and his modern accent was quite anachronistic, and Ioan Gruffud as Lancelot frankly blew his performance out of the water!

My rule about Stephen King's movies. If he has any hand in production I'm out. But even then Stephen King the majority of the movies just have lame story endings.
i liked The Shining mostly bc of Kubrick. Not really a fan of most Stephen King written films but I have enjoyed READING his stuff, and that's even though it's not quite my thing. Also his Twitter is pretty fun btw.
@@nadiamccall4311 Exactly, thank you. Over the years of sitting through a whole SK series only to be let down at the end. It feels like I've been scammed. The Trust is gone.
If you haven't yet, you have to watch The Mist. Go in as cold as you can - one of the most effective and dark horror stories I've seen, and they changed the ending from what King had. He's on record as saying he wished he'd thought of it, it's so chilling and effective.
@@othoapproto9603 Maybe, but the one I'm talking about is from 2007. Frank Darabont script/direction, Tom Jane and Marcia Gay Harden as two of the leads. Can't recommend it enough; but wouldn't watch before a social gathering. One of those films that needs a sleep to help reset your emotions haha

He never really broke big. Such a shame.
Absolutely! 🤩
I've always really liked him. I'm only 30.

@@EdwardLindon I guess. It's because he never had any scandals and was in a lot of smal British productions.
I always liked him and enjoyed him as an actor but now I like him as a man, husband and father. Very endearing interview.
I was hoping for two segments. LOL. I love this actor, very underrated. A few years ago I thought he would have been a great James Bond.
I just posted that! Absolutely agree.
I seem to recall they seriously considered him as Bond, but he didn't want to get typecast.

That’s sensible

Good bloke. Straight up good guy
Children of Men is a great film.
I know him from Gosford Park. Despite the amazing talent in that film, he really stood out IMO.
Clive Owen is a wonderfully nuanced actor. So many great performances.

the new miniseries lisey's story the new miniseries
He was superb in Gosford Park!
Another great actor from Great Britain 🇬🇧.
Ohhhhhh, Lisey's Story is my faaavorite King story. This series looks utterly incredible 🤩
‘Children of Men’ is one of the greatest films EVER. Fabulous actor.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍🏾
he should have been James Bond. Also Colin Salmon
@Neil Deep Croupier (1998) is the movie that had them considering him as Bond. I think he'd have made a good choice.

He killed it in The International as well! Really like seeing him. Too bad this series is in Craple+
Such a class act and as many say an underrated actor. He’s so diverse in his roles.
Why did the audio switch to mono left channel only at 1:00
That made me fiddle with my earphones, I thought something on my end had broken.
@@horseshoecraft same with me, I thought my earplugs needed to be tossed away but luckily I watched another video before doing so 🤣
I really appreciate this comment, because I've been having speaker problems, so this helps me worry less about that (for now).
Yes! It lasts until 3:28
I loved Mr. Owen in Second Sight, and really, everything else. A class act, in every way.
Second Sight was my first thought, as well. Watching that mini-series, you just knew he was something special. Must revisit it soon. Cheers
In Closer with Natalie Portman and Julia Roberts

I highly recommend everyone watch the BMW Short Films series with Clive Owen. Absolutely brilliant!

Wow, nice deep cut! I totally forgot he was in that
My 2 favorite Clive Owen movies are King Arthur and Last Knights.
Have you seen Closer or Gosford Park? Children of Men?
I even liked him in that *terrible* King Arthur movie years ago. But what happened to the right audio channel?
Good to know I'm not the only one; thought either my ear was going deaf or my headphones were broken!
Love that accent!
Pure class!

Haha, Carl Pirlkington deep cut, nice 😄
I wish they would have cast him as Max Payne.
the movie adaptation was terribly written, there was no saving it
Children of Men is a phenomenal film🔥
What a gripping clip! I have to see this
I suspect Julianne shared the technique of absorbing the essence of youth from extras.... 🤔
