Yeah, there is no way they retcon it so megas only happen in kalos like z moves, dynamax, and tera only happen in their respective regions. Then how would they explain oras?

@@Syiepherze yes, but that was how they explained it to why megas were in hoenn. It doesn't make sense to have oras and then retconn it to only be in kalos when oras exists

It is wrong, it's already confirmed switch 2 will have retrocompatibility, so all switch games will be on switch 2

Starting switch 2 with gen 10 makes more sense
But at the same time lets go pikachu and eevee are gen 7 and released on switch before gen 8

For gamefreak to devote an entire game to interactive cities would make sense, especially for redevelopment. They like to sample test ideas before fully implementing them.
In Legends arceus, we were not only establishing Jubilife but also building it as well.
Im terms of open world, we had the wild area, then semi open with arceus, and then SV.
Agreed competitive Pokemon is such a small area most people dgaf about it anyway. We like pokemon for its excitement and pve.

Doesn't game freak always go on field trips years in advance before making a game? For example, during X and Y era the team visited Spain. If we go by this that'll mean the next games could be Africa or Australia theme regions cause the team visited during Sun/moon and sw/sh games.

My Guess where gen ten is in Australia This is a little detail if you look at the Pokemainac and at his shirt, you will see a yellow kangaroo so I thought of Australia this is evidence that Australia will be a new region

0:43 Does seem a little selfish to say that you don't care about about how VGC players feel about Megas
sure they're fun in base game but in online battles they can be annoying sweepers or just hard to counter if you're not prepared
they do more than just harm competitive play they also effect casual battles like Beedrill and Blaziken did when they got one swords dance up
and I also don't think Pokémon is bending backwards for VGC players too much. sure they did add moves and items advertised to them but it's not that big of a deal
and sometimes they actually do make the game better for battling by buffing or nerfing Pokémon Gen after Gen.
I think it's good we're getting Megas back but I don't think they would be good for Mainline games but I do think they'll be great for spinoffs and maybe even side games like Legends.
MEGA ELECTIVIRE and it's ELECTRIC/FIGHTING I have wanted this ever since megas were revealed. PLEASE let that part be true if any of that was. My boy needs that mega. Should've been electric/fighting from the start.

They will cater to vgc players. They bring in the revenue, they play the games the longest. They buy ShWh base game and DLC just for urshifu. Their whole new move pools are based for competitive play. They care more about them than the regular people that play the games a couple of times and don’t spend more money on them.
& it shows with their modern games, focusing more on competitive features over stuff like Pokemon Contests.
Honestly haven't thought about but that does make sense, I can you tell you first hand as someone who plays some VGC we'd pay for pokemon home, we have to buy the new games if we want to officially compete or climb the online ladder, have to to buy the dlc and potentially games like legends for certain pokemon and have even considered getting both versions just to make it easier to get multiples of legendary pokemon for restricted formats. Meanwhile my more casual friends are on the fence about even buying the game, quit playing half way through, or stop after league. That probably does open up a conversation about how good the game is overall, but from a business perspective it would make sense that they would have more focus on competitive players since they invest the more time and money into the franchise. Probably the reason why they do limited time outbreak events for shiny hunters(the other group of players that spends as much time if not more). I do think some form of new game plus for players that like challenge runs would help reach out to more players. I do want to clarify though it's not that I think these types of players are inherently better than casual players, but from a business mindset it makes sense to invest in consumers that are more likely to spend time and money in your business.

Pokemon is in its current state because of us. We keep buying C- effort Pokemon games, complain for the 1st month, then buy DLC…
That´s why I haven´t bought any game after Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon except for Legends Arceus. Pokemon was my comfort game franchise aside from Zelda and they RUINED IT!
A lot of the newer games have more effort than old gen. I do agree the reason the games aren't as great as they could be is because of the fan base.
A lot of the new changes in newer games are quality of life changes that make the game play and feel better.

Well they make money by selling a product we ckuldve gotten way worse with scarlet and violet but they had a story to tell with twists, character development, and an open world. Every game is a test to see what can be done better and by refusing to by because of graphics or how a tree looks is tone deph and doesn't really help unlike constructive criticism which ive seen that helps make a game better. @juanmanuelcardona19 Every time Gamefreak devoted a ton of effort to their games and tried to do something new, they get absolutely ripped for it and not even in a constructive way. On top of that when they do listen to the community, the community rips them for it even more.
They do try to listen to feedback and implement it in their games as well.
Gen 5 now get a lot of praise for the story, animations, and a lot of other factors. However, back when they released, they got absolutely slammed with criticism worse than SwSh.
People wanted more story, harder fights, and were tired of the gym challanges and more content. What does GF do? They announce Gen 7 as a vacation and take a break from the gym challanges, heavily focus on the story, and introduce fairly challenging bosses (besides U.Necrozma). Side note: These games had to be a bit more hand holdy because of Pokemon Go's popularity bringing in so many returning veterans who havent played in years or new players who have not idea what to expect. Which they get blasted for again.
A lot of people complained about the insane amount of grinding you needed to do for HGSS and in Gen 5 so what do they do, they add a huge QOL feature by making the experience share effect the whole party in Gen 6. People in Gen 6 were complaining about HM's and how restricting they are to your team. What do they do? They add ride pokemon in gen 7 to replace HM's and in Gen 8 they made it significantly easier to raise significantly more pokemon than just your main party.
The point being for every 10 things they do right and try. There's always one major issue that gets focused on and regurgitated throughout the community.
I love Megas so they better keep em

It's almost a certainty that switch 2 will have backwards compatibility (not confirmed, but highly implied). So i don't really trust anything from that first rumour.

Dude, these companies see us like peasants, they don´t like us or care about us. They put a friendly act in their Pokemon presents and they claim they care about their fans and what not when they really don´t, they just want our money and for us to f*k off, they don´t care if we hate their game or not because they will still get the money from the fans and normies who don´t know any better

The Gmax would've been a lot better if Game freak didn't place the Dynamax mechanic within the gen 8 games. I feel like Gmax was a golden opportunity to bring that feeling of Mega evolution back into competitive play. They just needed to increase the Gmax roster in PLA.
I seriously don't think Litten will be a starter in ZA. There is no connection what so ever between wrestling and France. It's nowhere near as popular as soccer. Scorbunny is a much more obvious choice when you think about how much France absolutely loves soccer. Heck, XY even had an entire feature themed around soccer
I can give you two reasons why that last leak is never happening:
1. Supposed regional Litten’s evolution sounds too much like Pyroar, and you know they won’t do that cause it’s the whole reason Talonflame was given the awful name it has.
2. “Lightningsteed” is too long of a name.

If these leaks here are true. I'm so hyped for it. Literally all my favorite pokemon getting mega and new types. New forms. I'm so hyped man. So excited. My son and myself just had a freak out session about this news.
The idea that ZA is intended for them to play around with more interactive cities is honestly interesting. Not just for what it means for ZA, but what it means for future titles. Imagine if they played around with new features for every future game, by making new Legends games?

I would love to see Gen 10 based on Eastern Culture. Every main series generational staple (excluding remakes and DLC) in 3D has been based on Western culture. Give me like an India or a Thailand game
