  • Today is an exciting day over here at AFD Inc! Because we’re launching Single Purpose League TODAY (click this link / anniefdowns to find out more!!), we wanted to have a real conversation about being single in the church… because…well… it’s a whole thing. There’s a lot of beauty to it, but there’s also a lot of hurt, misunderstanding, and disappointment, so we invited my long-time friend, Pastor David Platt back on pod, so we could have an honest conversation about how singles can thrive in their church, what conversations we could be having with our pastors and church leaders (and vice versa) and how we help single people not feel invisible. If you're single, be sure to check out Single Purpose League over on Patreon and become a member so you can listen to more of this conversation. Today’s episode was a WOWIE ZOWIE and I’m so thankful for David’s insight and honesty.

So many of us in the Christian world have been led to believe that real life starts when you get married. We've also been made to feel less than because we're single past a certain age (I'm 44 and I've been through that). Hats off to you for being a real one and helping us maximize our single season (shoutout to Anthony O'Neal for that one).

Hi Annie, may the Lord bless you from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic! I'm 41 and still single. I used to feel anxious, depressed and lonely in my singleness but I know that the Lord is using them to shape my life for His Glory!

    Hi Annie,
I hope this message finds you well. Firstly, I want to express my gratitude for addressing the topic of singleness in your recent video. It's an essential aspect of many people's lives, and I appreciate your efforts in shedding light on it.
While watching, I found myself hoping for a bit more depth and quicker access to insights. Perhaps there could be a balance between the introduction, run and the core insights to maintain engagement. It's always a challenge to strike the right balance, and I believe your content has the potential to offer valuable insights more efficiently.
I understand the constraints of video length, but maybe streamlining the presentation could enhance the overall impact. Thank you again for your work, and I look forward to more thought-provoking content from you.
