A beautiful song, amazing. Outstanding writing and performance I miss my husband Andrew Cathey so much today, we danced to this all the time. RIP , I love you so much
I was at this show. At the time, "Cult of Personality" hadn't hit it big yet and nobody knew who they were (at least nobody in Auburn). The show was at the Student Activities Center. They blew the roof off of the place! I was hooked on them after that. I saw them a few years ago on the "Experience Hendrix" tour in Atlanta. They haven't changed. They stole the show both times.
wilbo09 It was actually at the Student Activities Center, not the Coliseum. It was a show sponsored by MTV (back when the "M" stood for "music"). Living Colour's album had just come out but hadn't taken off yet.
+Kaliye Palata: Vernon Reid was/is awesome. I saw Living Colour back a few years ago in Atlanta as part of the "Experience Hendrix" tour. He's incredible.
+Craig Phillips My problem with vernon is that he shreds too much and he likes to make blurs of noises when he plays instead of making melodies. he can play very well but I feel that he chooses not to.
Very glad to read that. This show was my introduction to the band (that's me just to the left of Will's crash cymbal on the over-the-shoulder shot), and I've been a fan ever since.
The things you lose are often the things you miss I miss you mom and dad Rip it sucks when you lose your parents you lose apart of yourself and family unit
Such a mesmerizing song. I could sit and listen to each part of this song from each of the individual members, on its own, and marvel at the musicianship. Then you put it all together.
Do it to it platoon Corey voice was strong as hell Rock n soul is all you can say they were up there on talent with the white rockers love ya guys living color rules to this day
Leyna Laraqueen *Me too. I really appreciate it. It just seems like he really* *doesnt want to be with me from what assumptions I am* *making but I just need to play it cool as it says. Now,* *everybody wants us to get back now.:))*
Kinda bullshit. I remember all the songs off Vivid getting tons of air play on “white” rock stations…problem was they couldn’t replicate the success of Vivid going forward.
i understand, because i too dreamt about taking his place as a replacement but unfortunately william calhoun decided to stay with the band and thus in the process shattered my dreams. lol 😅

Long life, living colour!!!!! Great band!!!!!

Hey Auburn Alumni here. Wasn't aware they played at Auburn. Where was this? Coliseum I assume?

+Craig Phillips how'd you like the guitarist?

Hands down my favorite song on the album. And that's saying a lot when you consider all the great songs on Vivid.
Tv Boost
Much agreed
Very true
That drum snare is powerful.
I met him at a drum clinic he did around the time Stain was out. He told me it was his biggest priority that the snare was always up in your face.
"sometimes the things you lose are often the things you miss"
Beautiful!
That album was such a thing. Amazing musicians.
They sound amazing live.
Great frettless bass solo, LC !!
my favorite song of this spectacular band ,,, ... millions of memories listening to this song
Very glad to read that. This show was my introduction to the band (that's me just to the left of Will's crash cymbal on the over-the-shoulder shot), and I've been a fan ever since.
After all these years this still is fucking incredible 🤘🏾
This and Open Letter To A Landlord...
close up on the solo is incredible!!!

I taped this off Mtv in 88. Watched it constantly. Thanks!
Grandes baquetadas de puro groove com Will Calhoun.
Long live to the Living Colour.
oh this is sweet ...a soft sad one. The instrumentation is really what LZ reckon is missing from rock and roll today. Glad i came back to this.
just amazing rythm of voice to music.
Shivers.
I've had my heart broken all too often, this tune helps, plus a lotta zanax :-)
Amazing improvisation over one of their best songs! Thank you for helping me through the loss of so many of my pets and friends!
Love it!
MTV used to be so good.
God I love this song
Probably the only MUSIC mtv ever played!
Nice guitar solo from vernon
including that epic bass solo
Wonderful!
Special!
Corey was a handsome devil wasn't he? What a band.
Great album.
Que Apresentação👏👏
Stunning!
Cory Glover hasn't changed a bit.
I saw them at one of the Lollapalooza stops that first year. They were excellent!
Simply flawless.
These boys belong in the RRHOF!
I love LC

Holy Shit! An amazing performance of one of their Greatest Songs!
The sound man is a Legend!
Yes, she was. .. RIP Judy
Unas de las mejores bandas del mundo
yeahhhh this was some good s**t back in the day right?!
1:00 Love thy drummer...
sounds recorded but is live.
Bad ass band. Have to be a Gen Xer. Will(the drummer) and the band were great live!!
Will Calhoun rules!
Great Fucking band
♫♥♫
So f.....great. This band is not from thir world.
1988
Wait... MTV used to show music!!!!!!!! LOL!
I liked the album solo a lot better, These guys were great back in the day.
The fact that they are black they never reached greatness. Fucking shame. They kicked ass...and yes I'm white. Played drums for 37 years. Respect
Kinda bullshit. I remember all the songs off Vivid getting tons of air play on “white” rock stations…problem was they couldn’t replicate the success of Vivid going forward.
Vernon Reid is Jimi Hendrix's heir.
What white guitar is that on the floor at 0:07? I've never seen Vernon play it, or was that his?
great black rock band i thought they were ace
HEY now that (excluding a few big names) hip hop is becoming more and more empty,
my brotha's will start playin instruments again fingers crossed :)
Seven years later, I hope that it happens. Music is shit, I hate all this auto tune garbage coming out.
Muzzy tho...damn
Muzz !!
It's too bad Muzz Skillings left the band. They're still great, but they don't seem to write tunes like this anymore.
Muzz Skillings is a bad man
Damn, Muzz I love ya but that was a LOT of bad notes. Someone put some fret markers on his neck. You're still the king though.
What the hell happened to Vernon? Techno instruments....... Jimmy would never approve you sell out
Sell out ? Techno ? Jimmy ?
Oh, by the way if you wrote them off because they were black. You just don't know. Shame
I was never a fan of their drummer
Lol he's probably not your biggest fan either !!
Things idiots say...
i understand, because i too dreamt about taking his place as a replacement but unfortunately william calhoun decided to stay with the band and thus in the process shattered my dreams. lol 😅
