Perfect turn around for everyone involved. Good eye on the previous damage as a layman might miss that and pay too much money for a cat N. The car checks are so important for the price they are well worth it
I love the fact that you guys are all about the bigger picture, helping the next man, the industry etc. I don't think that is as common as we would all like it to be. It gives me faith in humanity and makes the channel all that much better. Keep it up guys 👍👍

@Steve Jones yes, because it means there is an industry for the customer to use. If everyone squeezed every last penny, then prices would go up for the customer, and most likely many dealers would go out of Business ultimately resulting in less choice.
The saying goes it's not what ya know it's who ya know but in this video it's what ya know, who ya know and who knows ya back lol. In all seriousness though in terms of business acumen this channel has become an asset in that respect because so much coming through is via here and word of mouth and it's all credit to the content, the hard graft, the exceptional quality and ethics of work, and of course the character of you both. This is a perfect example of making your own luck come to fruition and I won't lie, the more I watch you the more inspired I become and i'm sure I speak for a lot of other people too.

Josh knows his stuff. I have a 2.0 turbo diesel black R-Line version of the Tiguan on lowering springs, 18” VW GTI wheels with spacers and side steps fitted. It is also stage 1 tuned (for economy, not speed!) and it is a wonderful car. Comfortable, practical and looks absolutely stunning. If you can pick these cars up at a reasonable price then purchase them because there will always be a profit on such an awesome vehicle.

Love the turnaround on that one. I once bought a MK4 Escort at Auction and then sold it for a profit at the door without even sitting in it!
Same as what I have, although mine has only 60k on it, mine is manual and kept to tow our caravan! - VW have crazy ideas when it comes to tech, they put self park on that model as standard but not cruise control. I do like the tiguans, very hard wearing cars, if you get any others weak points are rear suspension & panoramic roof leakages (spider traps get blocked).
Great turnaround. Would still be good to get a quick update in a future video on how josh got on with the car and what he did to get it running perfect.

These type of gearboxes respond amazingly well to having their oil renewed... Good spot on the damage.
Completely agree. You hear all sorts of horror stories about these autoboxes, but if you change the DSG oil and filter every 35/40k they seem pretty reliable. My 2014 Touran 6 speed DSG has been serviced on the dot, is currently at 193k and I’ve had no bother at all with it.
That was a good decision. Fast turnaround. Love it. I buy and sell a lot of secondhand goods and do a bit of restoration work or just clean it up a bit and sell it. I always put a cheaper price on things to get them gone, rather than put the price on that I know I will get if I hang on to it for longer. In and out with a good profit still means your making money. I am looking forward to your next auto adventure. Thanks guys.

That must be one of the fastest turn rounds for the least amount of work that you have ever had. If 2023 continues this way, you are in for a great year. Not a moment's spanner work, no going out shopping for hard to find parts, and absolutely no bodywork for Chris to get stuck into. I call that a result, nice one for the pair of you. A lot of my early cars were in those days cat c and I’d never any issues with them and got 200,000 miles on most of them, as long as they are properly repaired and a good service history I was happy and always saved a few quid, looks like a nice car rob, getting used to the new posting times as well, nice one guys, nice to help josh out, well played guys

Diagnose Dan fixed one of those boxes was an interesting watch. Was hoping to see you fix it, i ditched a focus with dsg because it juddered badly when warmed up pulling away plus final straw was water ingress in car.

Well done lads, it always pays to help each other out. Business is hard enough nowadays. Your channel really helps us subscribers out too. I used Car vertical to do a check on a car I wanted to buy. "Keep fit windows", I have never laughed so much guys
Fantastic results. When I get a regular customer that needs an atv seat recovered or replaced, I look at the machine and ask a few questions. Then how much for the seat and it still needs tires but they've got something else on the hook but need to move this fast. Sometimes my offer is close enough and off they go onto the next machine, and I go into my shed and pull out a better set of used tires and do a quick seat cover job and everybody's happy.
Re the service history, Vw are really helpful as they have a centralised service database. I had an ex lease t5.1 I purchased and had no service history, but I know lease has to be serviced. Quick call to VW and they sent me over their service record from the central database and it confirmed full dealer history from new Including a warranty gearbox and flywheel replacement
Just walking home from the pub and thinking, ah, I can watch Salvage Rebuilds when I get in... I wonder how I can message them and suggest they do a Tiguan... blimey, I fire up RUclips and there it is, I couldn't believe it! Great vid but disappointing you didn't do the numbers.

We have had 4 tiguans in the past. Cracking cars, a great all rounder. My fave was a white R-Line, looked the dogs! Now a proud owner of a 71 Hyundai Tucson N-line hybrid. Love it and tows my tin tent a dream. No crunching numbers though 😢. Great flip guys.

Everybody was happy ,I got a small profit quick to re invest, he's doing the work and should do good on the other end. The only bit I feel bad for him on is having to deal with all the time wasters and scam artists when he advertises them, Whats that saying about "if only i had a quid or dollar in my case for every one of them" L.O.L !
