Am I the only person who didn't burst into tears when the giant dog died? I guess I didn't understand the context at first, but all I got from the situation was that I was fighting a giant dog. I even walked around in circles for about ten minutes after he started limping just to mess with him. Looking back at the situation....I'm a terrible person.
I never played a souls game but lemmie tell you something its pretty funny to see that most of these boss fights have you tuck and roll and thwack a giant monsters taint 90% of the time.
Dark souls teaches to overcome fear and intimidation. Even if the boss is larger than a building you can still beat it although it is very difficult to kill them you can still retry and use different tactics. (Sorry if my english is bad or i didn‘t notice a spelling or grammar mistake.English is not my first language)

If you are planning on playing as a tank character in Dark Souls 1, I recommend acquiring a broadsword or heavy axe for the most damage potential. DS1 has poise so no having to worry about being staggered all the time, unlike in Dark Souls 3. 👌🏼
Yeah totally agree that certain builds can make the game easier or harder. part of the reason why heavy armor was nerfed so hard in later games was because you could literally sit there and tank boss hits like it was nothing. Unless you WANT to play the game on EZ mode (which defeats the purpose of playing dark souls) then most of these fights will still be intense and live up to every expectation you have about the series. A great example is his fight with Ornstein and Smough had he not been in full giants armor, that fight is wayy harder because when you get hit by either of the YOU GO FLYING and then Ornstein is all up in your face when you're desperately trying to get away and Smough waits to ambush you when you want to heal. Although I only died to them a few times, most people lose to them 20+ times before actually beating them. Don't even get me started on the Capra Demon either. I died to it so many times, it's fucking maddening. (Small ass room + Multiple Enemies + Hard hitting boss = Utter Hell) Trust me should you pick up this game it will not be a walk in the park by any means.

I'll never forget my first experiences with this game. I haven't been much of a gamer since I was a kid but I was bored with games that had gotten too easy. They would auto save constantly and there was no real penalty for dying. You'd have to redo a few minutes is all. This game forced me to get decent right from the start and taught me quickly to be patient throughout the rest. I don't think it's nearly as hard as people have made it out to be but maybe they had also just gotten used to easy games.

With ceaseless discharge, just run back to where you entered the area and it will chase you to a lava fall and starts losing its balance. One arrow kills it after that.
@@hiagain1 boring is the boss fight not doing this, the boss is meant for you to kill with that strategy, he has an attack that just explodes everything and cant be dodged, if you trapped him in the first attack its just the same and the same for a good amount of time until you kill it, its just boring.
Fun fact: during the Dragon Slayer Ornstein and Executioner Smough fight, if you turn down the music you can hear Smough laughing manically the whole fight.

The first time I have seen it is from watching PewDiePie's "Lets play Dark Soul" videos. At that time, I was like "Pfft, this butterfly would not do any great damage", and then...
Finally made it to those damn gargoyles and died within a minute. Thought about going through the level AGAIN. Decided to go back to Candy Crush and never looked back.
Back when stamina management wasn't needed, and you could just mash your R1 button everytime you gained back a little stamina because you don't take damage and you have poise.
Yeah true, it's ironic how in Dark Souls III the early game was more difficult but it stayed at that level, but in Dark Souls I the early game was difficult, but it got waaaaay easier over time. At least that's my experience.
The only one that I thought was painful was the moonlight butterfly. This isn't a gripe against the player though. It looks like a boss you just have to wait for at times which makes for a boring fight.
Having played all 3 DS games, (the first two on PS3, and the third one on the PS4 along with bloodborne), I am honestly considering Demon Souls at this point.

The Capra Demon was really tough for me. Here the choice of the pyromancer can be very helpful. With the other bosses, NPC's can help you too.

Yeah true, it's ironic how in Dark Souls III the early game was more difficult but it stayed at that level, but in Dark Souls I the early game was difficult, but it got waaaaay easier over time. At least that's my experience.

it's painful to watch someone defeat bosses with such underpowered weapons
The only one that I thought was painful was the moonlight butterfly. This isn't a gripe against the player though. It looks like a boss you just have to wait for at times which makes for a boring fight.
hes probably doing it to show the bosses full moveset for new players instead of showing off jn a speedrun

The moonlight butterflie's boss theme sounds like Aldrich's in ds3
it was influenced by gwyndolins theme, which is the exact same as the butterfly

Aldrichs Theme comes from Gwyndolin, because Gwyndolins corpse is a part of Aldrich.

ThatOneGuitarGuy 98 wrong, the area is not apart of the boss fight idiot. He could have also just shown the half where he killed him. This isn't a two part fight, you only fight him for real in one or the other
It's like Pluto I believe the asylum demon is a real boss but it is technically a tutorial boss
