I know there’s software that already does this, but having it integrated with the ability to use the automatic scale feature would generate endless possibilities. I want to separate drum loops and have each element stemmed out. I don’t think there’s anything currently available that separates drum elements like kick, snare, hi-hats, etc off of loops .. then being able mix and match … that’s all I want .. hint hint Ableton lol
@@DDaniels3000 out of all examples, separating different elements of a drum break is like the most useless use of a stem separator you could've mentioned

Yeah, I use logic for stem separation that’s such a sick feature.
And a de-noiser and a de-bleesimgnfor the voices
ARA, Noise Isolation tools, Stem Separation, and also something Pitch correction in logic (it’s like a simple version of Melodyne) ☺️

Just looking at the available options such as strength, smooth, and vibrato with fade in, there's definitely the ability here for natural sounding vocals. I think this will be a very versatile tool. I can already imagine using this for someone with no singing abilities, hard turning it with 100% strength, adding a little bit of smooth settings, and then a small amount of vibrato with a nice fade in, and getting a modern pop vocal type of sound.
Finally! Latency is probably better than VST alternatives

Please make an update so that when exporting individual tracks, sounds in Drum Rack are assigned to individual channels by default, so that when exporting, all drum one-shots will be separate tracks. Extract Chains is a crutch.

the speedy editing of clips is now bloated and more daw like instead of the performance based ideas tool it was..

It remains to add the *ability to adjust the fade-in/fade-out of simultaneously selected sample files in the arrangement mode* and *add “automatic” or dynamic synchronization of the delay with the project grid (for easier monitoring)* and thus close the mouths or satisfy the most “demanding” modern musicians 😌
Somehow I'm sure that all these possibilities you, the Ableton team, will realize in the near future. Maybe not this year, maybe not next year, but it will be. I'm 90% sure.

Fast forward and rewind using shortcuts such as 5 and 6 or * and /. So, so to speak, controlling the position of the song (play) with the keyboard, which is unfortunately still missing in Ableton 12.

Welp time to wipe the dust off of my mic and get the workin. Definitely a game changer for the folks that were using waves tune/could not afford autotunes hefty price tag. Interested to see what people do with this device on stuff OTHER than vocals

Having it native Ableton is really nice for the UX approach is unmatched. Most of the third party plugins are UX hell especially those skeuomorphic onces that mimic hardware which makes it hard to use let alone modulate.

Ok, there's what we all REALLY need. Here u go, Ableton:
-Feature to adjust fades for multiple audio clips at the same time
-Feature to adjust the gain for multiple audio clips at the same time in the Arrangement view without going to the audio clip settings.
-Feature to apply audio clip settings such as volume and fades to all/selected range of audio clips that have the same content at once
-Feature to do a quick hot-swap of audio clip content right in the arrangement view via Q-button on a keyboard or smth, without having to use clunky sample manager, which will be a significant time saver for those who for example makes drums in audio and are faced with the problem of replacing an inappropriate snare in the whole project.
-Feature to loop an audio clip when it is not warped. Sometimes you need to loop the audio, but don't want to destructively affect it.
-Feature to hide unused audio and midi tracks, track groups in the arrangement window
-Bring back the feature to turn a midi track into an audio track when a sample is dropped on it straight in arrangement view. This was in ableton 10. And it was quite handy.
-Feature to freeze groups. Really. Its 2024. Maybe it's time.
-Add a keyboard shortcut to show the Track Options menu. PLS.
-Allow user to delete all tracks in the arrangement window.
-Allow random colors for tracks even in custom user templates. Sometimes the same colors get boring. A slight variation every time can make the process more fun.
-Feature to display a window of custom templates and existing projects at startup.
-Feature to search through samples within a user-specified range of tempo, notes, musical scale etc. Like in splice.
-Make the sample preview window resizable for better display and user understanding.
-Allow the user at the stage of searching and listening to sounds in the browser to hear how this or that sound will sound in the project taking into account the tempo and ---musical scale of the project.
-Feature to make modulation of plugin parameters visualized in order to see what is being modulated in real time. Also precise keytracking feature would be insane.
-Feature to type music note values like A4, G#3 as frequency parameters in plugins like EQ Eight etc.
-EQ Eight. Pls provide more slope settings. 12/48 seems limiting. Also offset button w keytracking in cents and semitones.
-Fix a problem that prevents default settings for plugins such as serum, etc. from being correctly saved for further opening. This is a very old problem.
-Sandbox system for vst plugins. Makes a music session less stressful in case some of the plugins may crash the project due to their buggy behavior.
-Feature to disable plugin. Not only deactivating it.
-Feature to DRY/WET KNOB for EVERY PLUGIN.
-Feature to change parameters in plugins using mouse wheel.
-CLAP support.
-ARA2 support.

Is that a harmoniser and tuner in one? Ok Ableton, good work you finały came up with a harmoniser. So far I've used Eventide Quadravox, no competition. But now please make sth like Melodyne, pitch corection for vocals and instruments. Logic has one, not as goog as Melodyne, but they've had it for years.
The similar tool in Cubase is crazily good. The only big thing I am missing from Cubase which Ableton doesn't have together with multitrack MIDI import/export.
I'm happy they made a useful stock plugin, but in this video it doesn't sound as good as waves or antares pitch correction plugin.. so unfortunately there would be no situation to use this plugin. unless the "live mode" is 0ms latency and super low cpu taxing. edit: midi input would be easier than 3rd party plugins and what I really hope is that multiple "Auto Shift" plugins can be synced on different tracks like "KSHMR Chain"
live mode is 0ms latency and basically no change on the cpu meter
I don’t think this is meant to be a pitch correction tool it’s more of a creative effect

That's why it is in a free update and not a subscription plugin (like Antares or Waves - technically) :D
(Of course, Waves are selling perpetual licenses but you actually have to do a paid upgrade each year if you want their plugins to work properly, at least on mac)

Is there a more transparent/natural mode? Because that doesn't sound too great.
I mean its cool to have it natively, but it doesn't sound nearly as good as other 3rd party plug ins.
There's a strength adjustment in %.
I thought the same thing and it's making kind of nervous about how useful this will be, but, also the really weird sounding note in the video that sounds like a bad artifact of the pitch correction still sounded pretty strange and unnatural even before the pitch correction was applied. No offense to the singer, their voice is fine, I just think this might not be the best source material to show the effect on?
Edit: I listened to a third party video of someone using it (Seed To Stage) and the pitch shifting algorithm sounds super clean and totally useable! I really think it's just the source material Ableton chose for this video.

please add back in VST3 subfolder presets in the browser. it doesn’t work in Ableton 12 ! the arrow is there next to my VST3’s but it does not expand the Manufacturer presets like in 11. I have been reporting this since 12 Beta and still have not had any response addressing it!
Needs a key detector device
PLEASE MAKE GAIN AND PITCH EDITABLE WITHIN THE CLIP without have to double click the clip to bring up the edit audio clip screen. and if you can somehow ADD A WARP HOTKEY, and even a reverse hotkey just to avoid having to change screens would maximize workflow even more. Then the only time we would really need that window is to fine tune transients. Add those and Stem Separation and Ableton i feel will be even further ahead as the. workflow gods
