It's amazing to me that you can see how upset Jordan gets when Kathryn is talking about every time Jojo got a little more broken by that guy. Seeing that it hurts him to know that she ever even had to go through that gives me an odd sort of hope for love in life.

I just adore the way Jordan comforts you each time a story was being told of how you were hurt, Jojo. Although he wasn’t there and you may never have talked about the details, you can tell from the way he comforts you with his small embrace that he hates you had to go through those experiences at all and it was almost a signal of confirmation that he could never dream of doing that to you. It’s like you are safe now. Love that. Every person deserves to be treated that way by a significant other.

Kathryn is a good friend! I don't friends often decide to bring up a hard subject like that when they know it'll make their friend mad at them. But I think that just shows how close you guys are. Like she'd rather you be mad at her than be in a bad relationship. It reminds me when I told my parents we needed to talk to my sister about her eating disorder and get her into rehab. I knew she would be so mad at me. And she was- she didn't talk to me for 2 months! But in the end she got healthy and our relationship is better than ever. It's worth it to have the hard conversations!

I just got out of a toxic relationship eerily similar to this. He would go out to bars with friends (including girls) and I couldn’t go with him. If we saw each other while we were out, he wouldn’t acknowledge me. One day, I brought him breakfast in bed only to find him in bed naked with another girl. And I stayed with him. Numerous red flags and dealbreakers, but somehow his behavior was always justified. I guess that’s what toxic relationships do. What JoJo said about not being able to see a future is so true. You become paralyzed mentally and emotionally. But it makes me feel so much better to see someone come out the other side of this thriving! Thanks JoJo! 💗

Hey Jojo, I have to just say you have an amazing friend in Katherine. I was in the same situation years ago with an ex and felt like I just needed change. It wasn't until my best friend spoke out and stopped me in my tracks. I am with my now boyfriend of 3 years and I can see just how different the relationship is; I'm more confident and calm. So happy for you and Jordan, here's to finding our #match
I still love how whenever Jojo was upset or about to cry, Jordan and Kathryn would do something to make her smile or laugh. As emotional as this was, I'm so happy that she got out of that toxic relationship and is surrounded by people that genuinely love her. ❤️
Thank you for talking about this. Your truest and best friends are the people that rescue you when you’re giving your all to someone who doesn’t deserve it. Even if you aren’t ready, and most of times you never are, but it’s the support and strength from people you love that get you through this. And I hate that so many people judge others for taking them back, but it’s so difficult when you love them.

I have been in a toxic relationship and it was awful. I was so in love that I didn't see any of the signs that my friends and family pointed out. I understand how crappy it was to go through but I am so glad I went through it because I wouldn't be who I am now.

The same thing happened to me! But he let her wear a set of my PJ's and they were beside the bed on the floor. We were living together. I packed all my stuff into my car while she was still laying in the bed. I said bye and drove 5 hours home to my mom's. I couldn't breathe! It was the worst feeling ever!! In so sorry you had to go through that bc it is painful.
