I watched this video years ago. Lately I have been preparing for new floors and the RUclips algorithm dropped this video into my June 2021 list. Imagine my shock when I discovered the link indicates a single tile is now $1.19! I also prefer no grout. The grout seems to grab dust, threads, hair plus it discolor. So much cleaner without groutlines and dust collectors all across the floor. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.

    My original msg didn't post:
EXCELLENT VIDEO! Thank u for taking the extra time to make this video & explain everything so well. I am a 69 yr old lady with some health problems & an artificial knee I can't get on. But because u made this look so easy I'm gonna try & do it while sitting on a step stool. I can barely afford the tiles & I certainly can't afford to pay an installer. My kitchen & bathroom floors are old & ugly, so I'm very excited to replace them myself😊

I forgot one thing! I wanted to tell this manufacturer & others that make peel & stick tiles, they should pay or reward u well! A lot of people can't afford to buy new flooring & pay someone more than the flooring cost, to install it! So because of u, they will greatly increase their sales!! Plz share this with other manufacturers of tile flooring & even backsplash peel & stick tiles. This man needs to be paid!!!😊

One of the best tutorials (because it is very detailed and he actually shows you how to cut up to and around the tricky parts) I have found for putting down Ceramica vinyl tile. If I had to nitpick, I would say NEVER cut your next tile over the floor you just laid. That is a huge no-no. If that blade slips, well, you won't be a happy camper. Just not worth the risk. So much better to just move over and cut over the old floor, not the new one. And since I am grouting my Ceramica, I would have loved to have seen this done. Especially since this guy does such a thorough job of showing and explaining the process. But I learned a lot and I am thankful for this great video.

    • @petebeasttexashomesteading

+SuzetteG316 Thank you, I'm glad you liked the video. Yes you're right about cutting tile over tile you just laid but I do put a tile up side down under the piece I'm cutting just in case :) If your grouting these tiles then it's really not any different then grouting regular tiles. Thanks again.

You did an excellent job. Also it’s good that you put the tile under where the appliances go because it makes it so much easier to service them. I’m a service technician and it’s miserable to try to get dishwasher levelling feet up over a finished floor without getting them caught.

I made the mistake when I used a quality peel and stick 12”x12” tile over vinyl sheet flooring, of not continuing the tile under the stove....Big problem! the tiles then had room to slide over time and separate at the joints. Water spilling on the floor in that area and being walked on further separated them. If I had bothered to lay them under the stove with the tiles butted up against each other and the wall, they would have held in place and not slid...So another good reason you continued under the appliances. Looks great, job well done 👍

The most perfect and easy way to cut your short vinyl plank, is to put your plank you are cutting. On your last vinyl plank, get another vinyl plank place one end against the wall and lay it down on the plank you have placed ontop of your last plank. Then you cut the end from the wall, that way when you cut the plank the cut end fits perfectly at the end of your last plank and the wall. Trust me it works i have done hundreds of vinyl plank jobs in Australia.

Looks great.A tip I learned for cutting the edge piece. If you take a full tile and lay it over the full tile in place then grab another tile and put it up against the wall and mark that full tile you laid down that will be the measurement.it is what the floor guys do.I hope i didn't confuse you. It's a great tip I learned from a floor guy.
