As someone who is neurodivergent and lives with mental illness, this video speaks volumes to me. We have a very different way of feeling emotion, and despite common misconception, we feel emotion far deeper than the non-neurodirvegent community and read much deeper into the world around us than thought. I read the poetry to these lyrics and the video; the pain of feeling caught in a relationship, the desperation of wanting to keep yourself together, the agony of overpowering empathy towards the other partner, knowing full well that you're caught in a toxic relationship and that you can't love someone else freely until you love yourself. This suddenly becomes loud and clear in this interpretation of the lyrics.
