This song kills me every time I listen to it. I always tear up and then eventually just let go crying. My mother passed away in 2011 and she loved this band. Her name was none other than Virginia. Most of the lyrics in this song describe my mom. She was the best mother who gave me the best childhood a little kid could ask for. I am 31 now and miss her so damn much. If you are reading this and you still have your mother, please tell her you love her all the time and hug her tight. I love you mom. I can't wait to meet you again Virginia! Update 4/6/2021 I've been completely surprised by the overwhelming positive responses since I first posted 3 years ago. I wish I could hug you all. Instead I will raise a toast to all of you and enjoy a bottle of wine. Since my post, my wife and I had a baby girl in March 2019. We named our daughter Alice Virginia in memory of my mother and my wife's mother. Both our mothers passed the same year of 2011. I decided to respond again because I just lost my Uncle today. He is my mothers only sibling. They were the best friends of each other, because of losing their own mother as baby's. Their mother was only between 20 or 22 and they were 1 and 2 years old. They formed a bond that could never be broken. They were raised by their father, who died at 55, their grandpa, and their second mommy, their grandma. I was reminiscing and decided to listen music that takes me back to the great times I had with my mom and uncle. Losing my uncle today has literally left me with nobody on my mothers side of her family. I am just devastated. The loss of my uncle was the last of my mothers memory. I am very grateful he was able to represent his mother, father, and my mom to witness my kids being born. My wife had a miscarriage in January of 2021. It would have been a blessing to have a third child and my uncle witnessing it. We lost two lives this year sadly. So on this day of April 6 of 2021, my uncle went to heaven to Meet Virginia, his sister...again for eternity. RIP Mom and Uncle Joe. Life just got harder without you both. To you reading this, I Love You.

I can relate to this song. There are many Virginia's ( that aren't named Virginia ) out there. The girl that isn't sure what she wants in life, has gone through a lot and learned to lie and steal to get by, acts strange from the rest, and is not happy with the direction their life is going. Despite all of that, she is loving and nurturing. Finally, their intuition is magic. I consider them to be roses that bloomed through concrete.

Very young. So sorry
There is a reason Silent and Listen are spelled with the same letters. If only we could be silent and listen, ooh the many Stories Untold, we would have heard. Meet Virginia! To all the Virginia's out there, Keep On Keeping On. Soon, and Very soon, All Will Be Well and Not In Vain. Your Day Cometh Steadfastly.
This Virginia needed to read that today! Thank you :-)
The anagram of my whole name is The One Naive Girl Wins....lets hope.
