This brings me back to the snes game Robocop vs Terminator .. good times .. good times.

well you have to think that the fuel cell took twice as long to explode in the movie.
hell least two hours or so cause he was shot at night. when he met up with john conner it was day light. figure it's atleast 4am in the parkinglot. and around 6 am when he met up with conner in the truck and took out the fuel cell
there is something i am trying to understand when the cell explode in the movie, did he forced it to explode by itself or did it happen for other reason?

For people who raged why robocop won:
1.robocop has 3 layers the terminator only has 2
2.the armor robocop had was thickened.
3.the terminator didn't have outside layer armor.
4.the terminator's hardballer was blown up by the ordnance.
5.terminator's grenade launcher glitched.
6.terminator was programmed and didn't have own objectives.
7.robocop's jet pack malfunctioned it didn't explode.
8.arnold's minigun wasn't meant to destroy titanium.
9.arnold was not meant for taking down cyborgs.
10.robocop's more strategic.
Ah man! Someone spoiled Luigi vs Tails for you? Would've liked to see your reaction to the reveal. Anyways, it actually comes out March 21! Since they spent so much time on Robocop vs Terminator, it allowed them to get a head start on some fights.

Here's my big problem with this fight. The Terminator has a CPU capable of some incredible calculations, data analysis and processing. Yet it can't keep count of how many shells it has left? Not to mention the whole obvious part about how the Terminator is accurate enough to fire a fucking minigun into a crowd of police officers without causing any fatal injuries, yet he can't seem to aim at Robocops exposed jaw?

*slaps my own face* The animations battles are not meant to be 100% based on what happens. If two attack methods are shown against once an other the fights will show which person would likely win. Thus the count of shells was done for the "movie". This can be argued for many parts of these animations where it works and it does not but overall its for entertainment and semi teaching. Its not done extremely well every time.
As for Robocop exposed Jaw, and his perhaps Glass Jaw since its still humanish........your right they might have very likely missed on that.
Mazzmaker69 They stated that the Terminator can develop emotions. This can include anger, which to humans, is a hindrance to perfection (or in fiction, a protagonist/antagonist power-up).
So to summarize, the traits of anger is inability to realize, remember, or think logically. Terminator got so pissed off that he forgot to keep track of his ammo and just wanted Murphy to die.
Alfred Chen Oh you know damn well that's horseshit. Show me a single moment in any Terminator movie where a Terminator makes a mistake because he's pissed. Hasn't happened. Death Battle pulled that gold nugget straight out of their own asses.

If I may offer some insight,(I apologize if this has already been addressed) they actually do put things such as Robocop's strength in the analysis, jsut in the sidebars to the right, such as the Feats at 11:37 where it said that he survived a 3000 PSI hydraulic press. On a sidenote, I laughed a bit at Robocop's vision at 15:54 with the "Cool Sunglasses" sighting at the left.

One thing I realized about this battle is if they stuck to usual equipment Robo-Cop would have his pistol, his weapon arm if he could manage to carry it on him and his mines, The Terminator would have nothing. The Terminator always shows up in the past naked with no weapons, armor or anything, it has to find weapons to use so it has no common equipment. I saw people saying that Robo-Cop's jet pack and sniper rifle aren't common things he has, well Terminator never has weapons when he goes to the past, he has to find them and in the animated fight he was just lucky enough to land in a gun store, he'd be out gunned in a realistic setting.
i remember using this channel to get passed the age restrictions on death-battle episodes. (once those became a thing, god im old)

Robocop killed his own anti twrminator. In his second movie, he killed a robocop 2, a massive model meant to replace him and had far deadlier weapons. But robocop got on his back and ripped HIS humanbrain right out of him.

***** Late reply I know but in Robocop 3 someone shot a grenade launcher on his chest and it made him go on his ass and have power failures.
Also a T-850 is made with material that far exceeds Titanium in durability and the fact that plasma weapons in the Terminator universe can easily kill a T-800 (850 are build to survive plasma blasts btw 800 can not) I think it would of amputated Robocop at the least. Also the lasers Robocop was able to take in his tv show do not come close the the power of the phased plasma rifle.
Andy Doe first of all. he took a shell... not a grenade, a shell. it's called a grenade because apon impact it explodes and sends shrapnel all over.
secondly, he was hit in a central power point, and the heart, which is why his power was failing. it was a close range attack.
thirdly. colton isn't stronger than titanium, it is however a higher melting point metal. this means it won't melt as easily as the prior t-800.
finally... a plasma shot is a plasma shot. you can't compare one to the other. and a plasma shot isn't 100% electrical plasma needs to be radiated off something... like a ceramic shell. and we all know ceramics won't even dent titanium.
hell proof plasma won't do shit to Robocop. when Kane(Robocop2) used an arc plasma cutter against Robocop's helmet, all he did was scratch it, he didn't cut through it or break it. notice Robocop's visor was still intact??
plasma shots won't take him down. feel lucky they allowed them to paralyze his limbs for the fight

Firstly in the very beggining of the fight Terminator managed to scan Robocops heart. And later on when Terminator clearly has 4 more shots left in his GL he just discards it like nothing.
Plus I don't know how powerfull lasers are in the Robocop universe. In the Terminator universe they can eat through T-800's with ease. And when you realise that T-800's are made with material stronger than Titanium (hyper alloy) you realise that maybe they can severly damage Robocop. If armor piercing rounds can why not a god damn T-800 killing laser rifle.
And there will be plenty of times where Terminator can get Robocop up close he even managed to overpower Robocop in close combat and easily blast a shell point blank in his chest.
All im saying is that people severly underestimate the Terminators weapons a minigun would of taken of the metal plates with ease. Remember back to Robocop 1 where the police force managed to paralyse his limbs.

I do agree with the fact that Robocop is the more durable machine that may lift more but the Terminator is a mixture of Strength,Speed and durability and functions non stop for an estimated 120 years non stop while Robocop needs to charge up.
In a real fight I can see that Robocop may have him at close quareters combat but then the T-800 scans parts of Robocops body that may cause it to malfunction and then in the end ultimatly kill him.
Also theoritaclly the T-850 may remove its hydrogen cell processor and use it as a projectile against Robocop and easily destroy him. (Has the strength of a mini nuclear bomb ad the radiation may affect Robocops machinery) And in the end finish him off.

That was brilliant. Many parts of Robocop's research came from a Robocop miniseries and an old animated series.

you have to consider the idea that Detroit is supposed to be a war zone. typically that means the bad guys more likely won't run, they'll stand and fight it out against anything in their path. so him being constructed like a tank does mean a bit of something. figure in a fire fight he'd have an edge. remember the first movie. people wouldn't run from him, they'd come at him guns blazing. they'd fail, but even a knife wielding punk stood against him.
this means him being a walking tank is in his favor. durability over mobility
The context is he'll return with the same person seeing him. It was used by Arnold in the running man and other movies.
Hey +Ris Grester I do slightly agree with you, but if you watch the hydrogen full cells exploding part again, watch the percentage of energy go down closely and you'll see it goes to 1% towards the beginning of the countdown so it should have blown up before robocop could have strapped him to the jetpack, also I noticed this video was posted a little less than a year ago and was wondering if you have had the chance to watch the new robocop movie if so what did you think. Operative word in the analysis is "immediately." Depending on how fast the Terminator can "learn," how much processing power is needed to do so, and the amount of "experience" that particular Terminator had, the analysis could be true.
Please note I have not seen any of the movies from either series.
Absolutely Nobody OK but in the movie Terminator Salvation you can see in the labs of skynet on a computer it says downloading basic human activity and thinking and is plugged into the terminator which was on a assembly line with many behind it meaning it is programmed to predict humans the learning factor is a boost p.s. There are many versions about Terminator vs Robocop but this is better.
Also skynet has a camera in each terminator to see what they've done and transfer it back to HQ to adapt a new terminator suit for that area or send in one they already have that they know for sure is capable of completing that task.
Why did they gave the T-850 the T-800 weaknesses? For one The T-850 was able to stop and push back a giant blast door which is designed to withstand a nuclear attack, with one arm and one battery ! Near the end of Terminator 3.

The only part of this episode I'm iffy about is the arsenal they gave Terminator. Everything else is accurate. I know both of those combatants too well to disagree. I even predicted the governator would win by a string of lucky shots!

Fanboys...they used all the media for both characters. If it was solely based on the movies, Terminator would have won. Robocop won because feats and weapons from his TV series and cartoon were taken into account and Robocop was OP in those medias...

Im assuming that you have yet to see the Terminator vids, so let me explain. When CyberDyne, the company that created Skynet, brought it online, Skynet became self-aware, and viewed humanity as a threat to its existence. Thats why it used the entirety of its nuclear arsenal to annihilate humanity.
And from the sounds of it, it did a pretty good job.
Terminator shoulda won.. I think him being outta ammo at the time of him about to win... was so unfair Robo cop didn't reload any of his guns and seemed to have unlimited ammo so why does the Terminator have limited ammo? And.. And... Why the hell did he ditch the fuckin grenade lancher?! If he's grounded!! easy shot with several grenades to the face to weaken him! This fight should have gone differently
Keep in mind, we're dealing with a dramatization of how the fight would go, so there's probably going to be inconsistencies. As for him running out of ammo on the last bit? You can take it as a shout out to Terminator 2, where one of the characters was about to kill a Terminator... but when they went for the finishing blow, they were out of ammo.
Also, as for why the grenade launcher was thrown away, he probably didn't want to risk anything and probably planned to go in at close range, where he was faster and had the advantage. He probably didn't want the same trick he pulled off with the Gatling gun to happen with the grenade launcher too. Would YOU like someone shooting a bullet down the barrel of your loaded grenade launcher?
Well if im made of the same material as the terminator yeah i'd deffinately go for the chance while he's on the floor after crashing to shoot him in the face with my launcher, wouldn't you? it woulda even prevented robo cop from changing weapons and majorly changing the outcome of the fight let along im pretty sure the terminator counts his bullets and wouldn't let the whole ammo thing happen he does have a vast knowledge of all weapons it would make only sense that the most advanced killing machine would count his bullets accordingly. and not let such a amateur thing to happen like that

The animation isn't what determines the winner.
Lostcheetah It's easy to say 'he should have done x and the fight would have gone differnetly'. The thing is, the Terminator was using logic. And logic dictates that if he has the ability to shoot down the barrel of a gun, a grenade launcher, which has a bigger barrel and a stationary one to boot, would be an easy shot for him. This made it, logically, an ill-suited weapon. Like I stated before, the Terminator held the advantage at close range, with his speed. So, logically, with the jetpack down, the best way to take the momentum was to getinto melee range, again, making the grenade launcher a poor choice.
The entire reason he did that was due to functioning on pure logic. This was the logical course of action and it got him screwed over.

I thought robocop's jet pack got destroyed by the terminator in the beginning. It doesn't take that long for the cells in the terminator to explode.

I think the reason why they keep certain information about characters till the end, is possibly cause they want to keep the mystery of who will win open. If they threw in the major differences as well we probably would have a reason to look at the fights lol.

There has to be no mystery here. It has to be crystal clear analysis and not some MCU type cartoon which someone dare to call "Simulation". It really sucks. Many things were disregarded about terminator as T-800 series. This episode is baffling simplification.

Interesting thing about the M134 is that I heard that you can't fire it as a personal weapon irl. The kick is just too strong, you have to vehicle mount it or put it on a tripod. Of course, Arnie can get away w/ it as his character's a cyborg and the weapon he's firing is blanks, and is also a rl bodybuilder carrying a prop instead of the real thing..
Loved this battle, close don't know who wins until the last blow and good animation. Can you watch Samus vs Boba Fett?
Sense people are telling you about it I feel I should let you know that Samus vs Boba Fett was the very first episode ever made and its VERY rough. Wiz and Boomstick sound really weird, the analysis is not nearly as in depth, the fight itself is not very well animated, and its very short.
That's not to say you should not watch it, its still a good fight and I think its important to see where the show started to see just how far the show has come sense its creation.
However, do to how short and odd the episode is I suggest you watch it alongside Shang Tsung vs Akuma (The shows second episode) in a double feature. Because they were the first fights ever, you can see a lot of minor errors and odd growing pain type moments. So if you watch both at once, you spend 14 minutes watching the shows very first fights and you jump out of its awkward beginning stages in one fell swoop.
This is just a suggestion regardless, please feel free to do whatever you please and I look forward to next weeks video no matter what you choose to watch.

I don't like that the Terminator missed like 3 times at point blank with the plasma rifle...also why did the bomb Robocop detonated at the end destroy the Terminator but didn't hurt Robocop who was already almost dead?

Because if you look at the design, robocop put the grenade in the central core of the terminator. Meaning that it would do more damage exploding outward than on the surface.
Add to that the fact that robocop has tanked explosions stronger than that before with littlr to no damage, and the fact that he anchored himself prior.

perhaps. But the weapon used to render his arm and leg useless was something that the terminator never should have had on him at all in the first place. Anyone with basic knowledge of the franchise knows that he couln't take it with him through time traveling.

That fas nothing to do with the original being sent through time, and in the process of doing so, being limited by only living tissue being capable of being sent.
He's right, they shoulda told is he can tank future guns in the beginning, but I guess it'd be less exciting.
The stuff they mention after the battle is when they compare the two combatants so you don't already know what counters what. The descriptions beforehand are just one combatant at a time, so you can see what their character is like and their basic structure. Then they compare the two so you can see what counters what and why their death battle played out as it did. If they showed this before the battle, a victor would most likely already be decided without getting to see the work they put into the animation of the fight. So it's individual analysis of the fighters, the battle, then comparing the two.
This episode of Death battle is a decieving crap! T-800 was shown too weak in that "Simulation". No way it's so easy to break T-800 to pieces. You have to be shooting at it with an RPG or rocket launcher to achieve that. While Robocop can be just sawn down into parts. What, are you kidding? Moreover, T-800 was never totally destroyed nor defeated when he was a protagonist, and Murphy is clearly is still vulnerable too much, just as human, if it wasn't for help of his comrades, mostly he couldn't survive against simple thugs hunting him down. T-800 endoskeleton is much more durable and advance thanRobocop's Armour that easily gets destroyed on every occasion. On the other hand, Terminator is made from hyper alloy that doesn't get destroyed by anything except something really large.Popular opinion that Robocop is the superior one is based on his character being a protagonist as being force for good and even human with backstory, besides he's underdog and the underdog always wins against evil terminators. But by technical points, he's much weaker, although he has more toys Terminator can also be equipped with special inventory (or maybe a jetpack), especially if they send him after Robocop, and not stealth liquidation mission. RoboCain is not actually more powerful than a T-800 (at least not in terms of overall design and capabilities), he's really stupid one to fall down from that skyscraper like that and not once find a way to kill Robocop while the last had no ways to run . Straightforward, his stupidity and irrationality is what contradicts any of his physical potential.T-800 is advance killing machine, much smarter that Cain:it can just punch through layer of Robocop and injure him inside real quick, whereas Terminator has little to no weaknesses. Besides, even if you achieve to tear apart some of its parts it will be as effective as before and can even repair itself. Everybody says that PIPE BOMB indicates how easily it is to destroy a T-800. It was just due to limitation of the budget that he was damaged at the end with that small piece. Writers could have used some more weapon explosion, then afterwards is very thoughtfully targeted into this one of few existing weaknesses in the whole endoskeleton . It was a movie like Salvation where we see clearly grenades don't do shit against it. Depiction of T-800 in first movie was just too minimalistic, but still nothing but hydraulic press could stop it, Robocop fells in agony everytime some serious damage is inflicted. In Robocop 2 when they fell he used RoboCan as a shield to not get his body decimated. T-800 would get some minor damage and keep on going.
More to it, Robocop is just slow, clumsy, not agile enough.He's an easy target and can be disassembled by some primitive tools and even beaten to death by some shitty scrap of metal.T-800s in reality are able of running as fast as cars and even jumping as the newest version the Robocop from 2014 (but it doesn't make sense for them do it). They never show them do it but they actually can maneuver.
Remember how T-800 was pounded down by T-1000 on his skull several timse with that giant agregate, this force wasn"t even enough to remove it from action. What would hapen with robocop's head after just one that hit, something terrible. Apperently, he would die almost immediately, because he has a brain. Furthermore, all of his body has many connections to his organic parts, he can be put out of the game much faster than T-800s. T-800's endoskelton is super dense like the strongest tank ever created. Of course, Robocop is able to outsmart an average T-800, he has some tactical wisdom, the same terminator can fight dirtier than Robocop and outsmart him. But, anyway, no way Robocop is more powerful.Robocop without a jetpack is just a can with hevy weapons that he really relies on against dangerous enemies, he doesn't have any real advantage over T-800s. It would probably happen otherwise. T-800 would rip Murphy's head off easily. It's endoskeleton is proven much more durable and constructed of much more dense material, hyperalloy. The Terminator is what Robcop would have been if they decided to fix all of his flaws and make him the perfect weapon, not a cyborg cop.Robocop was outmached by every single opponent even as outdated as ED-209. Not that ED-209 could kill Robocop on its own, but Robocop would be struggling really hard. Whereas T-800 were fighting much more effectively the invincible and stronger machines toe to toe with them. He could take on RoboCain and give it a hard time.Discussing which in summary is even more embarassing for RoboCop
Great Video, and you've never seen the movies, you've missed out, Robocop, Terminator, & Terminator 2: Judgement Day, are all smartly written, completely awesome, and totally enjoyable movies that I guarantee You'll love.
Since Luigi vs Tails comes out In 2 weeks maybe you should watch another Death Battle with a Mario or Sonic character in it, like Koopa vs Goomba, Peach vs Zelda, or Eggman vs Wily.

I'd just stick with the first 2 Terminator movies and the first Robocop movie. The later Robocop movies and tv shows helped him win this fight, but that doesn't mean their good.

It's actually not just his, a lot of people feel that way. Terminator 3, while not bad, is no where near as good as Terminator 1 and 2, Terminator Salvation is widely considered the worse of the Terminator series. And everything following RoboCop 1 was pretty lackluster. RoboCop 2 is still pretty entertaining in a B movie sorta way. RoboCop 3 is pure garbage, the 2014 remake, while it isn't great, is at-least better then RoboCop 2 and 3, (though it makes me miss the original every time I see it).

The only reason why robocop won was because the creators made him almost unkillable just to help the plot should have been a tie since the jetpack broke and robocop had nowhere to go.

This was the T-850 design, it was able to hold a massive concrete, while holding on to the T-X, with the door making almost no advance, hand to hand, Robocop is dead (it is the T-850 for the fact that it had two power cells as opposed to one)
Robocop is stronger than T-850. Didn't you see the end of the Terminator? The bit where he gets squashed by a hydraulic press? Terminator didn't have the strength to push it away from him. Robocop has been in the same situation and pushed the hydraulic press away. You only have to look at the arms of the T-850 exoskeleton and then compare them to the huge arms Robocop has. Power cells? If Terminator can't damage Robocop enough to drain his power cell, your argument is hollow. The fight proved that Terminator CANNOT do enough damage to drain Robocops power cell, as his armour can deflect bullets and absorb energy weapons and explosions. Robocop is pretty much invincible at this point, Terminator got OWNED by a home-made pipe bomb.

In the Second Movie Beat The T-1000, Where Its The Best T Out There But With Help With The Girl And maybe the kid, Third Movie It Was A Draw. 4 movie Lost to John Conar And the Help Half human/Terminator. RoboCop Won All His fights. but just thinking About It If Robocop Fought T-1000 he Would of lost Cause Terminator in the 2nd The Reason he won Cause He was Running Away All the Time
T-1000 just happened to be one unlucky sob. First by pure luck he gets frozen by nitrogen (what are the odds) and if that isn't bad enough, he happens to be at a steel mill. Being frozen and blasted to pieces damaged him as shown in the director's cut of the film. He wasn't 100 percent after that and was acting glitchy and weird. Then T-80, who T-1000 thought was KO'ed at this point gets lucky with a grenade to the midsection and he just happens to fall in the molten steel below. If it weren't for the molten steel....the grenade would just have been healed up. T-1000 loses due to movie plot. Considering Robocop has access to better equipment and weapons, he might stand a chance more of a chance against T-1000 but hand to hand....T-1000 would whip Robocop and T-800-T-850. Even that ignorant awful T-X. TX beating T-1000 in that god awful comic book was beyond terrible. Terminator 3 is garbage. In fact, the whole idea of the T-850 with his two cells is garbage. Great design Skynet! The very Terminators you have fighting and protecting you are more of a danger then the people it's fighting. One damaged T-850 protecting a Skynet factory or facility could not only blow the other T-850's and cause their cells to rupture as well but it would blow the very places Skynet is protecting. HORRIBLE DESIGN.
I know this is really old now, but something just occurred to me after re-watching this. 23:28 Terminator could've have targeted his human face the entire time. He might not have the ability to scan for weaknesses like Robocop, but he's supposed to be a learning robot. Not like RC couldn't protect his face, but it's something I came up with in my personal overanalyzing
