😂 Good to see keeping the adult humour alive and your sanity real … sneaking “the mayo glory shot” and “pull em off” into another great video peeps. But swilling around the slippery mud to find the number plate in ya jocks was hilarious … well done.
Funny. Watching the lead up at the very beginning I said to my wife, The rego plate just flew off. "Wind it back, I missed it".i said "Nah, you'll probably see them floundering around later looking for it." Great episode team. What an amazing area. Thanks. 😊
Great episode Simon & Liz, a mix of humour, informative commentary & great scenery. We love the longer episodes and you both do a great job week after week. Keep it, fabulous ambassadors on getting out and exploring our great country 👏 Look forward to next weeks. Keep safe Alexandra & Russell
Brilliant bloody awesome track, good you found your number plate, lucky to get out of that hole. Can’t believe you’re doing that track alone and no winch!! What an adventure for the family though, thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the next one. Stay Safe guys. 👍
Great video. Wow you guys have really stepped it up a notch or 10. You seem so much more relaxed and enjoying what your doing. It's so good and enjoyable to watch you just get to it... 👍
Awesome vid along with the last with f2f. Family first always, so great to see the kids on adventures. My best memories as a kid were doing this stuff....but, How about a crazy idea. Remember the cheese cloth type fly screen table plate protector. How about a fold down and out spread from the troopy door.... for food prep over the bench. Bit like a sandblasting booth. Look forward to the next vid. Cheers.
OK, the production quality has gone up another level; I loved the intro. I'm enjoying the longer format, chatty version too. Nice Bog Catches Simon :-) P.S. I'll be at Bendleby Ranges from tomorrow for 4 nights... can't wait!
Wow, epic episode. Love that 76 of yours, its a seriously nice vehicle. Looks like an amazing track to explore. We've just finished a Simpson Desert crossing, and it brought it all back. The remoteness, not seeing another soul, the simplicity of living out of the back of the car. A real adventure. Can't wait for part 2.
So it seems I did the Hollande Track back in 1996. We were on our first big trip from Sydney to WA. I had seen this feint line on the map and couldn’t help but be drawn to it. We asked about it at the Tourist Info Centre in Coolgardie and I think they knew less about it than me and I knew nothing. I was with my wife and three kids in a GQ Patrol that had been built by ARB. It had lots of extra buttons. It was also our first trip towing our brand new soft floor camper. Our first night on the Holland was also our first proper free camp. Your video shows the Holland exactly as I remember it. Beautiful country and a fun track.
This is a great video guys we are just sorting out this set up for a trip so keenly watching 🤓 I can’t believe you don’t have an Aeropress though! Can’t do coffee bags 😕 must be a total coffee snob 🤪
If ya want a big jump up in comfort in a swag put blow up mattress in 7/8th pumped up and it’s bliss soft and cosy ya have plenty of height in yours so not much loss difference. Great way of showing the new to 4x4ing about deep bog holes without being in a wet one and being recovered lol 😂 OH and now you know why they put 4 screws in a numberplate ? For water holes hahaha 🤪 at least ya found yours again ! Really enjoyable episode , was a bit worried about what was holding up ya hat in the thumbnail hahahaha
Great episode as always guys. Simon that opening voice over was just 👌 We are so keen to take the new Reconn on this track once we get to WA would be so much fun. Not sure my eyes have recovered yes from your paddle in the bog hole looking for your plate 😂 Matt and Leisa.
It’s great to see you guys have an adventurous side and enjoy getting out on some decent tracks. Playing with your rig is obviously an important part of learning it’s and your capabilities. Question for you though - how exactly would you have tried to get your rig and more importantly family out of the water hole if it had gotten stuck without a winch? Do you have a hand winch in the back? Or just rely on the max trax and luck? I suspect it could be days or longer between vehicles transversing the track. Having fun is great, but! Cheers
Thanks, Jeff. We loved it, and like you say, getting used to the vehicle and it's capabilities. No hand winch on board. It would be shovel, tred boards, logs, tyre pressures, whatever it took! We would've loved to tackle more of them though!
Definitely get the Starlink mini. Mine is set up in the car. Wired to a rocker switch in the dash. And the dish is a little bit bigger than an iPad. And running on 12 volt . About 100 metre radius.
Not only for 4WDs. In the last 3 (or 4 years?) 3 Citroen 2CVs from Perth traversed that track (unsupported). They are, afterall, originally French farmer's cars designed for shocking postwar country roads and ploughed fields.
Just wondering whether you guys pick the length of your ads? I’ve noticed since RUclips updated and removed the ad timer that a lot of videos have ads that are 2-3 minutes long through the whole video. Just wondering whether they’re doing it on purpose so they don’t have to pay because they know people won’t sit through long ads.
I love hearing them talking. If you want just views then I'm sure there's plenty of photographs out there and documentaries you could possibly view. Just a thought 🤔
So what's the logic of not putting a winch on your ultimate touring build ? would of thought it would of be on your rig given everything else you have fitted.
Yeah, that's a fair assumption. We were concerned about weight more than anything, cost to a lesser degree. There's only been 2 times in the last year where it would've been handy. With that said, we're seriously considering it now.
@@TheLifestylePioneers agree with your logic, guess it comes down to how much you are going to push the limits and move away from just a touring vehicle setup. Maybe a portable bilge pump for those large water holes would be more appropriate HAHA😂😂😂
Love the beer box. Love it. I would marry it if i could.
🤣🙌
😂 Good to see keeping the adult humour alive and your sanity real … sneaking “the mayo glory shot” and “pull em off” into another great video peeps. But swilling around the slippery mud to find the number plate in ya jocks was hilarious … well done.
Glad you enjoyed it, we had to keep things real! 😂

Thanks so much, we appreciate the kind words! That's great feedback 👌
Thankyou guys you've just SOLD Australia 🌏 love it
Or shall we say
Where the bloody hell are ya lol
😂 Cheers, Stuart!

Cheers! We're stoked we got out of that one too!
Enjoyed this one. Def on the list
Glad you enjoyed it! We love that track!
@TheLifestylePioneers looking forward to seeing what you think of the GCR. My wife isn't too keen to do it again. Me, in a heartbeat.
Plenty of laughs this ep - what a great one! Thanks guys!
Cheers! We had a good time making it too.
Love this weeks episode. Cannot wait for next weeks.
That's so great to hear, thank you!
Great episode great scenery glad you found the number plate
Thanks mate! We were lucky to find it!
Great video. Wow you guys have really stepped it up a notch or 10. You seem so much more relaxed and enjoying what your doing.
It's so good and enjoyable to watch you just get to it... 👍
Cheers mate, we're trying to find a better balance of work and play these days! 😊
Great episode. Can’t wait for the next one. 😄💕👍
Thanks so much, we're stoked you liked it!

Love the idea! Maybe we'll give it a go!
Wow what a trip! loved it great episode guys 🙌🏻
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a fantastic episode THANK YOU so much
Thanks so much!
great episode. I have another one for you... the Oombulgurri Track in the east Kimberly.
It's on the list! Cheers
OK, the production quality has gone up another level; I loved the intro. I'm enjoying the longer format, chatty version too. Nice Bog Catches Simon :-) P.S. I'll be at Bendleby Ranges from tomorrow for 4 nights... can't wait!

Loved this episode- what great fun.
Thanks Jan, great to hear!
Whoopsy doozy 😂
Great job
For sure, thanks!
Fantastic episode. Thanks for taking us along. I’m also planning a solo trip along the Holland so great to see what it’s like 👍
Awesome! It's a great track for sure. Enjoy your trip!

Just found your channel this week, great viewng, the videos go quickly. I've done the Holland track in a 2CV!!!
Wow, a 2CV, that's impressive! It must have been quite the adventure.
So it seems I did the Hollande Track back in 1996.

Thanks, Duncan. Sounds like an awesome trip!
Great video guys. Good content. Absolutely loved Liz’s comment “get over it” for the fly on the lens . Cracked me up 😂
Thanks, Michelle!
Great video looking forward to part 2 and hopefully getting to drive it next year when we get to WA.
It does remind me of the Vic/SA border track.
The Holland Track is a proper challenge for sure, but so rewarding!
This is a great video guys we are just sorting out this set up for a trip so keenly watching 🤓 I can’t believe you don’t have an Aeropress though! Can’t do coffee bags 😕 must be a total coffee snob 🤪
Haha, we're actually huge coffee fans but we don't have one on board! Maybe it's time for an upgrade...
Just get the plain plunger style 👍 they have come down in price heaps in 15 odd years, it’s worth adding a stainless steel filter as it lasts forever.
Thanks
Cheers! So glad you enjoyed it!

Cheers! Good tip for the swag! Our bullbar only has two holes for screws unfortunately so we're going to have to get the tools out!
Great episode as always guys. Simon that opening voice over was just 👌
We are so keen to take the new Reconn on this track once we get to WA would be so much fun.
Not sure my eyes have recovered yes from your paddle in the bog hole looking for your plate 😂
Matt and Leisa.
😂👍 Cheers, guys. I wouldn't reccomend towing on the Holland, you're better off leaving it somewhere.
@@TheLifestylePioneerswhere is the fun in that? 😂 Remember we will be towing a Lifestyle R2SE hypercamper so it’s not big and very narrow.
Love the 76
Cheers! Us too.

I'm spending the day at 3 Mile Dam...fishing.
Awesome! That’s a great spot. One of our favourites 👌
great vid... must do... one day.....
It's worth the wait, you'll love it!
Definitely get the Starlink mini. Mine is set up in the car. Wired to a rocker switch in the dash. And the dish is a little bit bigger than an iPad. And running on 12 volt . About 100 metre radius.
Good to know, thanks for the info!
also, i would like to know the budget for the trip with fuel food and everything. thank you sir.
It's pretty hard to nail down a figure. It's just fuel and food for a few days. Camping, etc is free
i hope they carry their trash and load it off somewhere else and not in this beautiful wilderness. good video mate.
Thanks!

Maybe his mates. But I doubt it you are fantastic 👍
Thanks, mate!

Yeah, we don't control the ads. It's all RUclips! We donate 10% of the ad revenue to charity, though.
We bought our starling in lieu of a sat phone, we keep it in an out camp bag.
Nice one, cheers!
Some more driving would have been great viewing and less talking about how good it is. Definitely putting on my bucket list 😊
I love hearing them talking. If you want just views then I'm sure there's plenty of photographs out there and documentaries you could possibly view. Just a thought 🤔
@raelenekay4565 yep your right 👋
Cheers, it is a great track! Hope you get to do it! It's always a balance in videos.
33.35 that plant can be eaten in a salad but cant remember the name of it, common name was pigs ear i believe
