This is the first I have ever heard of this tank. My Berlingo is 5 years old now and already having adblue issues. Dealer was £2000 to replace the adblue tank. For some reason the warning lights have gone off and it's back to normal. Great video. Something else to go wrong.
Hello there. I have been learning a lot from your videos, but there is one thing that I believe might be incorrect. You mentioned that the Eolys additive is added to the fuel tank after each refueling. However, I believe that the additive is only mixed with the fuel that goes to the DPF during regeneration. My own vehicle went 153,000 kilometers (95,000 miles) before needing a new additive.
Mine was about 80000 miles and again with that fluid the price has at least doubled if not trebled over the last few years some garages didn't know what i was talking about and kept saying ad blue so i did it myself.
So basically the system is overdosing if you fill up frequently on low miles. Or does the overdosing help to keep the dpf clear, in a car that will be suspectable to blocking the dpf by not doing many miles?
All news to me, I’ve been having continuous AdBlue warnings for sometime now. How do I tell if my vehicle needs AdBlue and Eloise additives please? It’s a Citroen grand Picasso 1.6 HDI 2015
Citroen C 4 1.6 --> Eolys is still around 380 ml after 100000miles, dpf at 85% full of sud. Drive max at 2.400 rpm, use good diesel and oil, give the dpf chance to regenerate at the motorway
Ould help me, I need reset the eolys additive level on my DS3, however I don't have any professional diagnostics tool, I just bought the lunch crx129x but I'm not sure if will allow me do the reset What machine will do this for me not costing my eyes 😂
What year was this introduced? I have a 2012 peugeot Expert. Its never been done and is on 104k. I know its not a dual mass flywheel so do i have a dpf and eolys system? Can you tell without climbing underneath?
What happens if you take the magnet off the fuel flap door and leave it in place on the sensor? That would stop the system from using any fluid but i guess it would eventually throw an error or potentially upset the DPF.
I read it takes a signal from the fuel level sender unit. Works out how much you just put in. And makes some sense as there isn't a switch of any kind on the filler flap on a C4 Cactus...not even a lock.

Thanks for making this video, I never even know that it had it, even though I'd seen the tank underneath!
Glad I could help!

2017 boxer, filled mine up as was close to empty. Never touched the software. So good so far…thank to your videos.
Great video and very informative! Thanks a lot mate!
Glad it was helpful!
The limit is around 30L when it stops increasing the amount of eolys injected (for PSA cars). Fill up more than that each time.
Curious as to why manufacturers don't put gauges on EOLYS or ADBLUE tanks like you have on the fuel tank? Why no easy way to top up the EOLYS?
They do on the Ad-blu tanks but you need a tool to get a reading on them.
Not on the Eolys though.
@@MrByootox The adblue level on Peugeot seems to be 'not enough' vs 'enough', no actual level..
Think a vid on what the Pat fluid is would go down well, i have never heard of it?

Thank you for the advice.
No worries!
Hi can you tell me what gearbox oil goes in partner 1.6hdi 2012 thanks 🙏
What software is that? For resetting

It will have one

It won't dose the fuel tank with any Eolys fluid at all then I'm afraid.
brilliant !!
I take it the car isn’t smart enough to know how much fuel you’ve put in, and dose accordingly?
that would mean a lot more complicated system
It's braindead. You can tell the computer the tank's been refilled and it'll happily keep pumping nothing...until the pump dies.

Jimmy you have been reported to the authorities ..............for starting late today 😂
