More new features than you’d expect, some are a little buggy, old bugs are still present, but overall a solid update.
Sept20, 2024: Hands from people, WARN,
- For M4 iPad, Apple has removed iPadOS until they can determine a fix for 18.0. - It will brick the M4.
- Until Apple’s folks determine a fix, you will not see 18.0 as a choice, only the 17.7 security update..
- Meanwhile by most I’ve see reported, the M2 shows the 17.7 security and the upgrade 18.0. I think it is wise to do the 17.7 for sure.- Make sure you have backed up you iPad before doing either. At the least.
Note: Beware of any RUclips or other companies selling fake fixes that want your money.
Note: As with any update or upgrade , there will be a few things changed or quirky.
Some community suggest taking your compromised iPad into the Apple Store, walking or make appointment, or go to Apple Support app. Since Apple knows this as an OS problem, I would expect them to replace what cannot be revived. Hopefully, a fixed OS.
Whatever happened to the promised auto-categorization of messages in the Mail app?

Is it okay to upgrade to 18? Coz im thinking of the battery of my ipad when upgrading to 18
So far so good on my 13 inch Pro. I’d still give it at least a week.
