Why do you immediately trigger contract extensions? In 3 years you may be 2 leagues up and the players no longer viable. But you've triggered them for another 2 years. You can always do that if you want to.

It increases their value which reduces the interest shown in them meaning less chance of them getting unhappy due to teams making a bid I want to reject
I will admit, when you see the name 'Higashiosaka' just thrown at you, it is quite intimidating. This consists of two words (as you actually clocked on to during the street view segment) of higashi (meaning 'east') and Osaka (meaning... well... Osaka. Or if you want to be super technical, it means 'big slope' or 'big heights' but that's neither here nor there).
Fun fact to wow your friends (read: annoy them) is that Osaka is actually not called Osaka but Oosaka. In English the name is written as Osaka, but officially speaking it's either a double O or an O with that roof / lying line on top of it (Ô or Ō) which is pronounced as an elongated O.
Fun fact 2: Only recently has The Curse of the Colonel been lifted from the city. In 1985, after the Osakan Hanshin Tigers won the baseball league, partygoes took a statue of KFC's Colonel Sanders and chucked it into the Dotonbori river. Why? Well, because during the celebrations, fans that resembled the players would jump into the river. And apparently there was no white fan to be found. So in the statue went, as a substitute. Ever since then, the team failed to win the championship. People in Osaka believed that the Colonel punished Osaka by making it so they would never win the championship again (KFC is an absolutely HUGE deal in Japan and is the de facto meal for families during Christmas). In 2009, the statue was finally recovered, but it wouldn't be until 2023 when the Hanshin Tigers would finally win the championship again. This time, fans would throw in another fan cosplaying as colonel Sanders, in an attempt to avoid a second curse. The real statue has been 'buried' by KFC Japan on March 8 of this year. RIP Colonel.

This cup....I almost got screwed on this one too. We dominated Meiji Uni and we won it in extra time 1-0. They had the same formation as your opponent and we could not break them down. I love this save Jack!

Serious suggestion - how about a series where you turn on attribute masking?
Totally understand the reasoning for streamers and RUclipsrs having it off, but ultimately you will always get promoted in a season or two with it off, coz you’re not having to rely on you scouts as much.
I think it would make for some really enjoyable content and fun jack melt downs.
Currently no matter how far you go down the pyramid, having perfect knowledge of player stats gives you a ridiculously OP advantage, you basically can’t fail.
I intentionally don't use attribute filters when searching for players because that would be too easy, but for a viewer experience seeing attributes of opposition players is important and is needed when I sim into the future at the end of the saves. Park to Prem with Tow Law had it on, and I was still promoted 9 seasons in a row. For me it doesn't add difficulty but rather an additional level of tedium as I have to wait on scout reports anyway. All that attribute masking being on would do is make episodes longer to produce and make me have to micromanage scouting and spamming trials much more which isn't very fun.
@@WorkTheSpaceI didn’t know you did that in the Tow Law series, before my time! Might have to go back and give that a watch.
Fully understand your reasoning, but just from my own personal experience, when you can barely afford to scout, you take chances on players blindly more often! And that in itself is good fun, even if it means you spend a few more seasons adrift!
Love the channel, so not a criticism, I’d have to play FM still myself if I didn’t have this to scratch the itch!

The way this is going in my experience you will walk through to J1 with back to back to back (to back) promotions. The steps between JFL, J3, and J2 are not that big, only the step into J1 is quite big because it's the highest ranked league in Asia and the money there is a lot more than all lower leagues.

@@mgrachev thats nearly a 50% increase in value. when playing at low levels your rep doesnt rise at the same rate that you do, so if teams even in the same division as you bid, your players will get angry.
