Hi guys, Quite new to your channel and I just wanted to say thay I am loving it! My wife & I were in Oz 2 years ago, and are waiting on your borders reopening so we can get back across. We are taking notes of all those beautiful places you are visiting as we would love to retrace your steps. Stay well and keep them coming. Ken, Inverness, Scotland.
Hey Ken, that’s awesome! We love hearing about how we help others plan their route, give them ideas or allow them to feel like they’re in Australia already. Hopefully we’ll still be on the road when you get here and catch you along the way 👍🏻🥰
We were very lucky with rain in cairns as it only rained twice in five weeks but almost every time we went to tablelands it would rain 🌧 destined to see it damp with no sun!
You should get a collapsible ladder to get onto and off the roof. It collapses into a small size which is easy to store. It's much safer than the shenanigans you get into.
24 next! As you can see we are getting on, we loved Ingham on our travels there before. I worked for British Sugar so I am always interested in the Sugar industry. Well getting Cheryl ready to get the rib eyes just in case we are lucky!!!!
Your slowly getting through them! Sugar cane is so interesting! A shame about the imported animals (ie cane toads) and what they have done for Australia now though 😢
@@BigOzExplorers Our friends near Townsville introduced us to those flaming cane toads, not nice! We are up to 29 now and you have met up with other families in the next one. We are both enjoying these very much. The roast pork in the Ziggy looked good! Talking of which!! Take care for now.....
He definitely didn’t ‘let me’, I decided to. If you watch our previous episodes I’ve done it before and it worked a treat! I’m all good though, thanks for tuning in!
Wow 😉 that hair do Chris 😝. Just watched your Busselton episode ( hair cut part ) 😂🤣👍 . Just back tracking , missed when you first got the new “ Datson “ 😝 😎👍
Great video as usual, can I suggest that you put Rainex on your solar panels, it will keep the dust n birdshit off, it will just come off with rain or a hose, no scrubbing
@@BigOzExplorers also, in the instructions where it says to buff until clear, no need, wait til dry n hose off, should work on van surface too, but you could always just use car or boat polish
Maybe a fold up ladder will work better to get up and down your caravan. Just stumbled across your channel last night and I am enjoying watching your channel. Much Love from Canada
Quick one on the Corn/Maze. Looks like Silage Maze. It’s grown solely for livestock feed, that’s why they let it dry out so much. It’s all mulched together for feed. It’s a different breed of corn to the one we eat
We use a Telescopic Aluminium Ladder to access our RV Roof, it is light and compact. A rope with Knots in it is a minimum safe method to exit the roof. Please look after yourselves, Love your content.
Good idea on the rope with knots haven’t heard that one yet! We’ve decided to use the car roof rack to hop up now. Worked well (but I made Chris do it this time 😝) thanks for following our journey Lauri 🥰
Hi You could get a 2.1 extendable ladder from Adventure King. you would need a bracket with it . that would help to get up onto the top of your van. The aluminium ladder is suitable for installation on almost any model of 4WD coming to a total of 2.1m high. Ladder extensions are available for higher vehicles if required.
You poor kid when You fell! My tum rolled over, you know that tummy pain when one of your kids get hurt🤕? The problem being a “tough nut” is that you’re expected to just carry on! Sometimes I’ve thought if only I’d had fallen into a screaming mess then the troops would have swooped in with ice and bandages galore...hehehe! 🏋🏼♀️🐨
Sorry Sian, but not if, just a matter of when with the shin scrape. I am going to buy a telescopic foldable 5m ladder. 2.5 m in the A frame, and opened up straight does 5m, telescopes and folds down to nothing. A frame means you can put it sideways down the van for versatility, and 5m is always handy in case you need it. You can always make a ladder shorter. Keep having fun. Weather looks so good.
Ok , Maybe next time “Me standing there to catch her” might be better than holding the go pro. FYI, a pair of Dunlop Volleys are good for slipping slowly down, my roof is about the same angle😁, hope you’re ok.
Ahhh Ian you need to meet me and know that I don’t accept help often 😂💁🏼♀️, I’m not your typical woman and Chris knows that! I’m probably too independent sometimes... 😎 And to be honest, I’m glad we got the footage to share with you... Hopefully others will learn from my mistake and do it the right way the first time 😁👍🏻 I am totally ok though thank you, love a good battle wound story 🤘🏻
Ice, ice, ice... Rest your leg above your heart. Bit hard with a baby though! Your shin isn't a good place to damage your leg. Close to the bone. Please try get rest and off it. It must be sore and throbbing. Looks bad.. You're a trooper but look after yourself too. :) Pain relief and anti-inflammatories too. Love your little girl, she's so so cute :)👍😂 BEST travel info. NATURAL.
It’s probably going to be three episodes at this rate, I’m editing at the moment... we were there for 5 weeks while we built the new car! 😍 Leg is all healed and like new... thanks for tuning in ☺️🙏🏻
Are you guys behind on your content Not that we are complaining just that you throw in the Y62 then the next is still with the old tow vehicle 🤗 keep up the great work.
I am confused about your vehicle? I watched you put draws in back of silver wagon and now I see wagon extension on a white wagon. Some towns have truck washing bays. A 3 metre concertina ladder comes in handy for cleaning roof solar panels and packs away tidy and less dangerous. Enjoying your travels 👏👏😘
The Y62 is our new car, our travel series is a few weeks behind. Our new y62 will start popping up next week 🥰🙌🏻 Hind sight is a beautiful thing hey! Going to use the car roof rack next time, much easier than that climb! Thanks for following! 🙏🏻
Ouch 😓 felt your pain when you slipped down the caravan, hopefully you’re better! Good on you for getting the job done ✅ Love your videos and lifestyle, best life for families with kids , hopefully you’ll get to go other states All the best and enjoy
Big Oz Explorers we have all been there. The first time I was setting a van up in the rain, my drill smashed me in the face while I was putting the legs down.
Hello guys. This is a much better duration for the videos. I hope your shin is better now. Is the new vehicle getting the gvm upgrade? I saw one of those tombs was in Spanish. The noisy miner is Aussie. The Indian myna is the one that isn't native.
We normally try to stick to half hour but sometimes there is just so much good content we have to share it! 😍 Oh was it? Well there you go, quite a mix of tombs then... The Indian myna is the one I like, I’d totally have one for a pet if I ever find one 🥰💁🏼♀️
Bro you are in the wet tropics 🤣 it's called the wet tropics because it rains all the time and that's why it's so green and lush up our end of the country
@@BigOzExplorers there's plenty of scenery to be taken in if you go for a drive around Tinaroo and hot some tracks as well as all the back tracks around irvinebank etc
Sorry to see you’ve hurt yourself. Try parking your vehicle close to your van and use it as a step. You may also think about a small portable pressure washer to be self sufficient with cleaning your stuff.
Maybe Mr Hair should help his woman and support your legs as you slide down instead of watching from the floor. Get a ladder for next time if you can't get anyone to help you out of a very dangerous situation. Could have broken your leg o worse. Your too good girl.

Thanks for your comment I wasn’t aware there were so many ad’s! It’s hard to keep on top of it all when we’re so far from reception at the Cape! I’ve adjusted them now. We never want that many ads either because we hate it watching others shows too 🤦🏼♀️ thanks for following and we won’t have that again for you! 😁👌🏻
Wow! What a massive tree.

I was thinking them don’t worry, but we’re a family channel 😂
If hubby had put the camera down, climbed up on the tool box and helped you down, like a MAN would, it wouldn't have happened.
Ouch, you poor bugger, you are so lucky you didn’t break anything ❤️
I agree 🤞🏻🙌🏻

We park the car next to the van then use the roof racks to climb up, its not as far to fall and saves the extra weight of carrying a ladder.
