    I'm a drs driver and have models of the first locos i drove in each class. 37,57,66,68 and need 88007 to complete the line up. I'm not a modeller and don't own a layout. I would like a small diorama to display 5 oo gauge locos after I get my 88.

    Looks great, I live not to far from the WC Mainline so often see them flying past with that exact load 👍

      These do look smart at the head of the Tesco trains 🤓

    Might make a NLL freight model in the future, this’ll be perfect! Regular sights down the North London with the Tesco

    Given I was paying £140 - £150 for a Class 68 and some 70% of the parts are said to be the same - £50 surplus is a complete no-no for me. Shame - looks nice.

    A class 88 is a nice new niche loco, but why is this an exclusive Dapol produced model if they've done a 68 which is available in multiple retailers etc?
    Doesn't make a lot of sense.

      The same place we did - Rails of Sheffield website. The finished article will look great on our West Coast Cement layout.

    Wonderful filming & diorama which highlights the loco’s terrible clear plastic windscreen inserts.

      Glad you enjoyed the video. The model is a pre-production sample which is still being worked on by Dapol.

      You did! These are from our own stock as we realised our Megafrets were all fitted with magnetic couplings!

    I'm surprised it's taken Dapol so long to produce this, since the shape is nearly identical to the 68s. But why is it another exclusive, and why is the RRP £20 more than the 68s?

    • @aberfordwest4003
      @aberfordwest4003 Год назад

      Capitalism, but it does look like it has upgrades over the 68, as well as extra roof detail. Whether that’s worth the extra £20 is debatable though

    hi there, great loco, but too modern for me will stick with the cl 73 with EE engine,but why have clowns brought in these locos when there are lots of redundant 86s sitting on their backsides doing nothing
