What an incredible match that was. Italy nearly won but what a comeback Turkiye performed. It was so phenomenal.
As a Turk, I have respect and love for Italian sisters and brothers comment. Italy played excellently as well. The whole world enjoyed the high-quality volleyball of these two Mediterranean countries. Italy played like a champion. But there can only be one winner. Both teams deserve to be in the final 🇹🇷🤍🇮🇹

as italian, I really enjoyed the match. Respect to Türkiye, they didn't give up and deserved to win.
I think Italy showed more quality throughout the game and was certainly better organized. But the fact that we didn't give up, our mentality and dedication is what gave us the ticket to the final. Shout out to both teams for putting up such a high-level match which even might be better than the actual final game tomorrow.

Türkiye has started to develop a winner attitude like team USA, they proved that they can come back and turn the tables for their favor in any circumstances. Other than that, Paula Egonu deserved better than this. She deserves her position in starting 6 rather than being called when Italy is losing. She already proved herself to have a chance in starting 6.

If I were Egonu, I wouldn't play for Italy. They don't deserve her. Today, without Egonu, they wouldn't do anything. If Egonu hadn't played, it would've been 3-0 in favor of Turkiye. We all saw Antropova, she was only blocked. Egonu was sad in the match and she didn't cheer when the team got points. I hope she will be happy in Milano.
I was hoping too that Egonu would be in the starting 6. Also I was confused too if Egonu was just sad throughout the match or she was just showing calmness despite the tension on the other side of the court. I hope we can see the that fighting spirit and game face on her again.

As a Turkish my heart breaks for Egonu. She is a star player but they don't give her the respect she deserve. Antropova will never be at her level. She didn't look happy at this match. Omg, other than Egonu no star player treated this badly. Hope the coach did realize why Egonu called one of the bests.

What kind of a highlight video is this? If you don't know the score, you'd think Italy has won. You see Italy spiking and scoring the set into 2-2, next thing you see is Turkiye is leading by 14-6. I mean, come on CEV!

4. set sonunda Vargas'ın gözünden fışkıran hırsı ve Eda'ın inancını gördükten sonra umudum yeşerdi. Sonuç Türkiye finalde.. Buna rağmen her zaman yapıldığı gibi videolarda Türkiye kazanmasına rağmen yenilmiş gibi video yapılmaya devam ediliyor..
Ebrar çok iyi oynasa bile onun sayıları koyulmuyor. Elif şahin’in inanılmaz iyi bir sayısı vardı koymamışlar. Polonya maçının özetinde sadece Vargas’ın sayılarını koymuşlardı. Bu özetleri kim hazırlıyorsa Türkiyeyi sevmediği belli.
Her zaman böyle yapıyorlar ama bizimkiler cevabı kazanarak veriyor bir gün elbette mecbur kalacaklar.

O dakikadan sonra işler değişiyor. 5. sette Danesi artık Vargası bloklayamayınca iş tersine dönüyor. Danesi köfteyi çakıyor ama iş işten geçiyor, o gazla 15-6 bumms. Arrivederci Roma oluyor.

Congrats to Turkey 👏 They had such hard opponents to reach the final and this one definitely was one that took a lot of energy. Serbia on the other hand had the easiest opponents and didn’t even need Boskovic most of the time so they will very likely have an advantage for the final. Unless the Netherlands surprises them today.

What a comeback that was?!?! Seemingly down and out at 1-2 sets and 14-18 in the 4th, Turkey found it in them to make one last stand. And they were ferocious. They imposed their will on Italy, which simply collapsed, like a house of cards. Unbelievable. The final part of the match was more than just volleyball. That is just not enough to explain what happened. Turkey wanted it so much more. They are desperate for a title, the one thing that's missing from their resume. And they played like it.
That was really something, wasn't it? And it could prove a historic match, that changed the trajectory of European volleyball. We'll just have to wait 2 days to see if that's the case. Because in the final awaits ... their boogeyman. Even if Serbia is NOT as complete and powerful as all these years, they have never beaten them when it REALLY matters. But if not now, with this team Turkey has assembled, then when?

To be frank as a Turk, it made me feel that Italy would win at the beginning of the match, but I am happy that my team did not quit the match until the last moment. 4th and 5th sets Vargas started to play amazing 🇹🇷
This victory is an answer for those who hate Ebrar. She is the soul of the team
Not just that. While Italy blocked most of our attacks, Ebrar was the one who figured out how to get pass those blocks and make score. She is not that great at defending, she doesn't hit the ball as hard as Vargas but she is always fast at figuring out what to do to win.
I don't remember what match was that but one or two matches ago, Ebrar failed so many times at defending, gave our opponents some easy scores. But next match Ebrar transformed into a Gizem Örge, and now against Italy she was also very good at defending.
She is good... She learns and improves herself fast.
I started watching women's volleyball team of Turkiye during VNL. At first I didn't really understand why was Ebrar in our national team. I thought she was good but not so different than any other good player. Thought maybe she was there because "she is the soul of the team" and fans and media love her. But with every match I watched, I realized why she is in our national team. Besides her morale boosting attitude for both the team and fans, she actually has great potential and uses it. She deserves to be there.

Italy was so close but congrats to Turkey. I think they're gonna win the tournament, Boskovic can't do it all alone. 2 throphies in few months (VNL + European Championship): only Santarelli. Italy's women national team will always be in a 'shamble' as long as Mazzanti is the coach. Mazzanti is a 'coward', he put Egonu in to save the day after he treated her with zero respect during all the tournament (even Santarelli felt for her and said nice things about her in his interview after the match). Now us Italians can cheer for the men's team, where at least coach De Giorgi knows what he is doing.
No matter what happened tonight, there is no shadow of a doubt that PAOLA EGONU made the whole arena tremble in fear & excitement. What a game-changer, coming into the end of the first set like that. And for the rest of the game, she started attacking like she never left.
I do not know if I am overthinking things but I admit she seemed more emotionally aloof than usual. I wish her the best and hope she knows that she has cemented her place in many people's hearts and in history!
exactly what's on my mind. She was just a sub but the point gap sh created made the Turkiye fans hopeless to win. Like you, I can feel that Egonu did not enjoy the gap thus, affecting her emotion and her play but she still played amazing. Maybe after this league, Egonu might not play to Italy team and stick to club team instead like De Kruij. In addition, she did not even bother to listen to Mazzanti and did not give high five when Mazzanti tried reach out yo reach to her. Italy will be crippled big team once Egonu leaves.
She is so amazing player, with no doubt with out Egonu the victory for team turkey 3-0 .. the couch of Italy have not respect for Egonu legacy and what she mean to so many fans who loved volleyball hight level and no matter from where the players are.

Had such an incredible time watching two winner teams playing against each other. As a Turk, i'm just so proud of being able to call our team a WINNER one, as they've all rocked it. I also wanted to point out one thing with all respect to Italy, that it's pretty odd how most of the highlights are coming from Italy's side on this video. We all know who won the match so favouring Italy won't make the result any different. Türkiye did so much better during the match in general than what's shown here. Horrible render skill.

As a Turk I have to say, Italy deserved to be in the finals with Turkey. Lubian, Pietrini, Egonu, and until the final sets Orro all put up amazing performances. Might be their best in the tournament. Antropova was also quite challenging for us in the first set, but it was relatively easier to find solutions to stop her than Paola. Italy was certainly ready for this match on all notes, but mentally we are stronger than ever with Santarelli. I am proud of our team for their strong and dedicated attitude. It is great to see Ebrar stepping up when the team is down and motivating her teammates with her energy and solid performance on the second set. Elif also deserves credit, she was the one reviving Vargas when her mood was down due to having a mediocre game so far. After she got lit up Zehra also stepped in and after that, the deal was sealed. Amazing match, almost gave me a heart attack. Congratulations to both teams, wish this was the final game. Hope we can get that gold.

There is nothing wrong with the commentator but what a one sided video cut this is favoring the Italian side attacks only, do make 50-50 at least. Not a single part showing Ebrar and Vargas playing. Orro made horrible decisions during the tie break 🙄 However, Congratulations Türkiye their level keeps rising and mentality is changing to the winner side. IMO, the Italy team is not that strong without Egonu, but Turkish team is strong without Vargas, with Vargas they are much stronger.. If Egonu had never been included in the game, Türkiye would have finished the match 3-1 the worst..
watching the "highlights" (?), one would think that Italy has won .... no "highlight" from the amazing come-back in the 4th set. and the deciding set appears to be just a little detail. one would be surprised why the turks were happy at the end of this highlights video

Türkiye have just proven that the VNL title, which the sultans of the net reached 1.5 month ago in Texas was not accidental or by chance and I believe the final match will be easier than today's semifinal, during which 🇮🇹 has shown a great character and discipline with a great performance againts us. Congrats to both teams, and thanks a lot great players of both parties as they performed spectacularly and presented us a super level game in this Eurovolley championship 🏐

As a Serb I rooted for Turkey because Italy is a much harder team for us to play against in the finals then Turkey. Anyway, it's gonna be a fun match, I predict 3:1 for Serbia.
