I think this is one of the best interviews with any fashion designer ever. His views on industry and style are so clear and structured. Funny enought that when i had an internship in an art gallery in my city, our gallerina wasn't extravagant at all. She was wearing chic, expensive but minimalist clothes in Hermes and Michael Kors style :) So a "gallerina" is really a pure fantasy, not a real market for anyone.

What was the title of the first job at Lothar's? How did Michael get into designing at Lothar's? Did Michael get di rectly there from FIT or did he have to work his way up? Really you need to be more through in your interviews in order to really help the novice out here in Ceder Rapids Iowa. I mean please!
He told you, retail, retail, retail! Find a store that has what you're aiming for and get a job there, any kind - see how things work, are done, if it's you and then work your way up.
