I've watched plenty of people, including you, mess around with the actual amp and gear he used on the albums, and even that didn't get as close as this. The mix at the start of the video was spot on to the album sound. My jaw just dropped. Great job.

I dunno 🤷🏻‍♂️ if there’s a right or wrong- I’d say whatever is easier for the player. Same notes, same octave, it’s all good.
I like to play it at 12 too, and the A power chord I ply with my middle and pinky on E 5th Fret instead of juggling the open A chord

Nice to see someone playing Cemetery Gates in the middle of the neck. The more you really dig into Dime's playing and his touch, you realize that most of his iconic riffs were right in the middle of that neck. 5th to 9th fret was Dime's home.

almost worth it just for the Gates clean.
the problem with his tone is its so obvious its his because its unique (good or bad) so if you were using it you'd just sound like a Dime rip off. but that Gates clean could be used in any clean passage and it sounds amazing.
    I dig it

All things considered whenever you've done a Dimebag vid you've got pretty close to the tone. This on the other hand is a whole new level (see what I did there!). It is literally CFH and so long as you got the chops to play it right its as close as we will ever get to hearing the man play. Hell even at the end when you started playing Demons it was pretty nailed on.
Would love to hear this in a full band cover with yourself, Leo and Delta...

Hi, Ola! Thanks for another interesting gear-testing video! I should also give credit to the developers` team of IK multimedia for making this incredible tone suite replicating the sound of uncomparable Dimebag Darell! These tones are so authentic and well-sounding that this video has inspired me to buy these preset pack together with Amplitube 4 plugin and record some Pantera covers with these tones. R.I.P., Dimebag - you and your music will never be forgotten! \m/

  • @davidetchellsetchells4692

Ola, this is a fantastic plugin! I used to get these tones with several different combinations, of course i could not afford the new stuff so i used my old Dean V, a morley power wah, GK250 ml head and an old Ampeg svt 4×12 bass cab loaded with celestion modern lead 70s. Other times i used a music man hd130 with the morley and a rackmount 21 band graphic eq . Many hours of playing with the eq and writing down the settings on the amp, guitar and eq is how i did this. Even though Dime was a solid state player untill he grew wiser and found that tubes were the next level of expression, i am the opposite! Ive always known the richness of tube amps and the subtle yet very important sound diffrences that add up to a whole lot better sound. You cannot do controlled feedback with a solid state amp properly and i am a big Hendrix fan so was Dime we were both always searching for that next step in great tone without sacrificing the crunch and still have a great clean tone when needed
