    I have a 2019 370Z 6MT sport coupe that has a Stillen Gen 3 CAI, a Fast Intentions dual 2.5" x-pipe cat back and an Ecutek tune done on a Dynojet chassis dyno by Seb at Specialty Z in Simi Valley, CA. We got 321 peak rear wheel horsepower with a 15% uniform increase in torque across the rev range. Assuming a total drivetrain loss of about 17%, we estimate that we're putting out about 387 peak hp at the crank. The tune map was optimized for 94 octane gas, which is what I blend with Sunoco SS100 race gas and 91 octane Shell V-Nitro+, the best we can get at the pump here in California. The car was tuned slightly conservatively in order to be safe from borderline detonation that might occur with poor quality gas.
    In the handling department, the anti-roll bars were replaced with stiffer Hotchkis bars, with lighter and more grippy Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 (240) tires, lighter forged magnesium monoblock wheels from LiteSpeed Racing in LA and a set of stainless-steel braided brake lines for a better pedal feel. The car has had a total weight reduction of about 120 lbs. The combination of increased power and lighter weight has made a great performing car even more fun to drive. Future plans include a replacement of the stock one-piece steel brake rotors with tw0-piece aluminum hat rotors when it comes time to do a brake job. That should take off an additional 10 lbs on the front corner weights and 5 lbs on the rear corner weights.

    340-350 whp is pretty good for an NA V6.
    That's about as much as a Mustang GT 5.0 and if youre in a G37 or 370z, you're lighter than a Mustang is.
    And if you're in an AWD G37 or in a 370 Nismo, you're gonna smoke these V8s all day if theyre stock.

    Also on the Test pipes option. Don't forget the Motordyne ART test pipes. They are more expensive, but eliminates the bees in the can sound and the loss of those "harmonics" actually increase horsepower and torque over a standard test pipes. On my G35, I picked up 10whp and 17wtq over standard test pipes. If you can swing it, get the ART pipes.

    • @Cheeseypoofs85
      @Cheeseypoofs85 4 года назад

    • @BoostInMotion

      @daveed2360 4 года назад +1

      Interesting. Ive been looking for a 3.0t performance intake manifold and couldnt find any. Why doesnt the 3.0 need intake manifolds (or better performance ones)?

    • @darrenlee1256
      @darrenlee1256 4 года назад +1

      @@daveed2360 the turbo is already doing the heavy lifting (moving air at a high rate or in a high amount). Adding an air intake isn't going to make much of a difference (other than sound) especially since stock airboxes are already well designed in terms flow. Plus your money would be better spent on cooling since that's where you get more gains with a turbo car (compressed air is hot, so cooler you can get it the more power you're going to make)

    • @daveed2360

      @@daveed2360 ah ok, my bad, misunderstood. I know N/A VQs used to have intake manifolds that didn't maximize the flow to its fullest back in the days (hence the performance ones just have a better flowing design). I know it may be a big $ hassle and issue but once you get bigger in subs you should buy a 3.7 to go along with you 3.0tt and change the game some much content to do with 2 cars plus you can pick up a 3.7 for 9-12k nowadays

    I definitely say do a supercharger setup... Get the stillen supercharger or the new Soho Motorsports one...AZ is nice with that for any horsepower because it's light, but I know the q50s, q60s and G37S are pretty heavy... That definitely is taxing on the get up and go.
