I have a 2019 370Z 6MT sport coupe that has a Stillen Gen 3 CAI, a Fast Intentions dual 2.5" x-pipe cat back and an Ecutek tune done on a Dynojet chassis dyno by Seb at Specialty Z in Simi Valley, CA. We got 321 peak rear wheel horsepower with a 15% uniform increase in torque across the rev range. Assuming a total drivetrain loss of about 17%, we estimate that we're putting out about 387 peak hp at the crank. The tune map was optimized for 94 octane gas, which is what I blend with Sunoco SS100 race gas and 91 octane Shell V-Nitro+, the best we can get at the pump here in California. The car was tuned slightly conservatively in order to be safe from borderline detonation that might occur with poor quality gas. In the handling department, the anti-roll bars were replaced with stiffer Hotchkis bars, with lighter and more grippy Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 (240) tires, lighter forged magnesium monoblock wheels from LiteSpeed Racing in LA and a set of stainless-steel braided brake lines for a better pedal feel. The car has had a total weight reduction of about 120 lbs. The combination of increased power and lighter weight has made a great performing car even more fun to drive. Future plans include a replacement of the stock one-piece steel brake rotors with tw0-piece aluminum hat rotors when it comes time to do a brake job. That should take off an additional 10 lbs on the front corner weights and 5 lbs on the rear corner weights.

I feel like people be spoiled for HP 340-350 whp is pretty good for an NA V6. That's about as much as a Mustang GT 5.0 and if youre in a G37 or 370z, you're lighter than a Mustang is. And if you're in an AWD G37 or in a 370 Nismo, you're gonna smoke these V8s all day if theyre stock. Not bad for a V6.
I got 330whp with art pipes, z1 intakes and greddy rs race catback. Sounds amazing on my Z. This gonna last me until I can pay car off and save up 10k for a single turbo.
Also on the Test pipes option. Don't forget the Motordyne ART test pipes. They are more expensive, but eliminates the bees in the can sound and the loss of those "harmonics" actually increase horsepower and torque over a standard test pipes. On my G35, I picked up 10whp and 17wtq over standard test pipes. If you can swing it, get the ART pipes.
they do add a tiny bit of torque over test pipes but you did not gain 10whp and 17wtq OVER test pipes. lol. unless you were untuned before and tuned after ART pipes. even then, its a stretch
@@Cheeseypoofs85 it was a tuned G35 vs tuned with ART pipes. Catback was the same. Of course it wasnt a flat curve, but peak was 10whp and 17tq. Different tuners, so that wasn't a constant.
Ppe lth, ported manifold, stillen gen3 long tube intake, ecu Tek software with 4bar map for speed density, custom true dual with 4 resonators, torco fuel additive got me to 348 hp and 294tq. Then I sold it lol
To confirm aftermarket Headers from a g37/370 does fit without modifications on our Rwd 3.7 Q50 won’t fit AWD! I currently have intakes headers test pipes catback exhaust NGK spark plugs AEM 340 fuel pump 560c GTR injectors tuned on Uprev running full e85 with a fresh new 4K miles transmission.
I recommend the Stillen gen 3 intake for most HP from an intake for the VQ 37s. Also the Stillen Gen2 s have more shroud then the Takeda. I have them in my G.
to sum it up..... headers, test pipes or HFC, full exhaust, grill mounted intakes, cams, manifolds and tune should get you around 350whp, depending on the dyno. e85 will add ~10hp but you will be filling up a lot more often
I just have long tube headers and tune and I make 317 on 93 I think that’s fire and I think is a good thing the long tube headers I pay 1300 for the headers and installation plus 950 admin tune and he make like 70 whp more than stock
With the test pipes you can avoid the Check Engine Light but getting a CEL fix with your test pipes. I got my Resonated Berk Test with CEL Fix and 1000 miles later still no light

Vincent Maccarone look into the hybrid platform as well man, they all perform really well and it all comes down to what you prefer. The 3.7/3.5 hybrid would have more parts readily available and would be a bit cheaper to maintain since their VQ’s just my 2 cents

@@daveed2360 the turbo is already doing the heavy lifting (moving air at a high rate or in a high amount). Adding an air intake isn't going to make much of a difference (other than sound) especially since stock airboxes are already well designed in terms flow. Plus your money would be better spent on cooling since that's where you get more gains with a turbo car (compressed air is hot, so cooler you can get it the more power you're going to make)

I know N/A VQs used to have intake manifolds that didn't maximize the flow to its fullest back in the days (hence the performance ones just have a better flowing design). I'm guessing the VR platform doesn't have that issue with its manifold or if not, no one developed one.

As stated in the video you need a Cat-Back system with test pipes. And yes you will run into check engine lights. So you will need to get the car tuned for the test pipes

In manual mode in the q60 what rpm number should you switch before you lose power reason being I was racing a Maserati and I had him but I notice I lost a little power I don’t know if I switch to late please let me know
@@Maxrizzz At normal driving speeds it's probably about a 2 or 3 on the volume scale. But, if you really get on it, it can be a 10. At low speeds it has a low rumbling sound. If you have test pipes the cold starts are moderately loud, but, short. The nice thing about the exhaust is that it can be controlled very well. I think it's the best sounding setup for a dual exhaust on the VQ platform.

Just getting into Q50s and am really wanting to get into one by the end of the year. My only question is should I go with AWD or RWD? I think I want the 3.7 over the 3.0T simply bc eventually I can supercharge it and take people to gapplebees lol !
I know it may be a big $ hassle and issue but once you get bigger in subs you should buy a 3.7 to go along with you 3.0tt and change the game some much content to do with 2 cars plus you can pick up a 3.7 for 9-12k nowadays
I definitely say do a supercharger setup... Get the stillen supercharger or the new Soho Motorsports one...AZ is nice with that for any horsepower because it's light, but I know the q50s, q60s and G37S are pretty heavy... That definitely is taxing on the get up and go.

Pretty spot on. I have all of those mods on my g37 sedan. I made 338 whp on the dyno. A tune is a must. I used uprev.
