He was elected President of the NBA Players Association BY THE PLAYERS, so he wasn't hated like people claim today. He negotiated the Collective Bargaining Agreement and increased NBA salaries from $300K to almost $2 Million a year. The reason why players have the contracts they have today started with Zeke. The Pistons were the most disrespectful team in the league. They won by playing dirty ball, cheating, kicking, punching and slamming people on the court trying to permanently injure people on purpose. That ain't basketball. That's MMA and WWF tactics. Why do you think they were called Bad Boy Pistons? When the Pistons beat the Bulls, Isaiah had no problem shaking Jordan's hand. But when the Bulls came back and beat the Pistons Ass, Isaiah refused to shake Jordan's hand and walked off the court. Isaiah was the sore loser. Not Jordan. He disrespected Jordan first and never apologized. Jordan didn't hate Isaiah until after Isaiah disrespected him. Jordan used it as motivation to become the GOAT. Isaiah never recovered. 35 years later and he's still bitter.

    • @williamanderson1091
      @williamanderson1091 Год назад +5

      That wasn't old school it was hard knocks and sometimes dirty. The league had to admend ,change ,and implement new rules concerning rough play all because of the Pistons and the things they did. When you push an airborne shooter into the stands ,that's not defense. When you hit a player in the head while he is attempting a layup without going for the ball, that's not defense. When you tackle clothes, line a player while they are attempting a layup that's not legal defense. The rules were changed to curtail the rough play. One thing the players of the league recognized was that Jordan was a far superior player than most in the NBA. The Pistons realized the only way to defeat him was to literally beat him, and that's what they did. They abused him and his teammates severely. But as time revealed itself, the Bull's developed a different attitude and approach. They got tough and stronger physically as well as mentally. Jordan understood what it would take, and he never backed down and insisted his teammates didn't either. To the Piston fans. Be proud of that teams accomplishments. They were great, and that can't be taken away. Most championship teams are usually defeated as a result of many things such as age, injures, retirements, and trades. I just think it's a disservice to dwell on a team that defeated you or stopped your run more than you show appreciation for your accomplishments. Move on and celebrate that Piston team. Dam the rest. They won the first NBA championship for the City. Something Bob Lanier and his teammates couldn't do. They gave the team with Ben, Rasheed ,and Chauncey inspiration. There are still franchises in the league that haven't won one championship, let alone played for one.

    • @djtheory313
      @djtheory313 Год назад

      @@williamanderson1091 I miss the no layup rule from the late 80s they need to bring that back and it has nothing to do with it being dirty. It has to do with no easy baskets. Now players just stand around while people just lay it up. Just think about it, that takes no effort.

    • @williamanderson1091
      @williamanderson1091 Год назад +2

      @djtheory313 I don't know what game you are talking about. I was talking about basketball . The rules have to change to protect the players. Lay ups are being contested today, and they were before. The rules changes have been put in place to add an element of safety. One can not push an air born shooter and not make an attempt on the ball. One can't through an elbow and call that a part of defensive play. One can't undercut and make contact on an airborne shooter. One can't shove or displace a player standing in a legal area on the court. Those rules applied then, and they apply now. The issue is that the penalties have increased to protect all players from that type of excessive play to avoid injuries and fights. If you don't like the increase in penalties for certain infractions, maybe you just like excessive force or criticism. Something had to be done before someone got seriously injured or sustained a career ending injury.

      You shouldnt because hes lying or stretching tf out of the truth. He beat those teams but many of the players hes talking about didnt play in the series or for long in those series due to injuries and KAG was a 41yr old role player. I think the only player he actually mentioned that played the whole series, or at all, was MJ.
      Dont take my word or his for it just do your own search on Bird, Magic, Jordan, Pippen and KAG that year. Bird didnt even play. I think Magic was out in 2. Pippen in like game 5 of a 4-2 series. His rhetoric is laughable. 😂
